I've been here twice with my co workers. I really enjoyed their French fries and their Moscow mule mocktails are super yummy. Great service, staff is nice and helpful. Always nice and clean the two times I've been there. read more

I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but our experience at The Vineyard was not good. We made reservations for a double date night with our friends, they arrived first, each ordered a drink and the bruschetta (which is a summer bruschetta and not good...at all!). Before arriving we all looked at the menu online, they seemed to have some good entrees, but were extremely disappointed to see their actual menu was no where near the same., not to mention their drink menu wasn't up to date and some of the drinks on there, they couldn't accommodate. After ordering drinks for my husband and I, the waiter never brought mine, and my husband's old fashioned was terrible (he couldn't even finish it). We finally decided that the service was subpar and the food wasn't what we wanted so we paid the tab and went down the street. We will not be returning. read more

Established 1976 we have driving by here since it opened. The grilled chicken sandwich special was delicious & the ranch dressing perfect. We had tie huge meat balls with spaghetti. Great spices tastes. We fill stop here again. read more

Service is generally quite good. The ambiance is okay. The restaurant is dark, old, and lacks a certain decorum. The bar is light, well stomached, and feels cozier. Lunchtime is my favorite time at this restaurant. The food selections are great. Dinner is not as good as I had hoped. The desserts are lacking in visual presentation. read more

Wait wait wait wait!!!... I was so amazed by the food service and ambiance. The rib eye steak melted in my mouth explosive flavors and cooked just right ! My friend scampi was nice and creamy with perfectly cooked shrimp. Our first dessert was a a little too sweet and super small. But than we saw someone order vanilla ice cream with walnuts and supper yummy ! I would love to see a bigger list of wine list . They offer local wines which I love! read more

Stopped in for a birthday dinner for my husband with a group of 6. We had no reservations and the restaurant seemed to be filling up but we were seated quickly and service was just amazing. Plates were hot and food was delicious! Everything we ordered was amazing, steak, burgers, lasagna, and the Siracha chicken is a must! The bread pudding was a big hit even though my hubby said he was stuffed but when I looked back at the plate it was wiped clean! Lol Thank you for making us feel at home and making our evening just perfect! read more

Today two of my work colleagues and I had lunch at The Vineyard Restaurant. Prior to today, we had driven from Fresno several times to eat at the Vineyard: a couple of dinners with friends and also a large work luncheon for which we booked the entire restaurant. The food and service were great! I especially enjoyed the salmon salad and the olive tapenade. Today was very different. I ordered the lemon grass chicken, which comes on a bed of roasted potatoes for $22. I tried to eat the tiny chicken breast;however, the skin was tough and the meat was very dry. Also, the potatoes were pretty brown, almost burned. Everything tasted over cooked. When our server, Charity, returned, I explained that my chicken was very dry and that the potatoes tasted over cooked. She kinda stared at me and then said, "Oh, sorry" and started to walk away. She caught herself and asked if I wanted a new chicken or something else. I opted for the salmon salad since I I had lunch at The Vineyard Restaurant today with two work colleagues, or at least they did. My two colleagues stopped eating their meals thinking mine would be there soon. By the time they were finishing their meals, I still had not received my salmon salad. We looked around for our server, and found her in the kitchen. I politely asked her to cancel my salmon salad. Barely looking up, she said, "Oh, ok, sorry for the delay," and promptly went back to what she was doing. She never returned to our table. Another gentleman brought us our check. Bottom line is that the three of us were extremely disappointed by Charity's poor service. We feel strongly that she was far too cavalier about the poor quality of my first meal and the failure to deliver my substitute meal. It was a salad, for God's sake. My colleagues and I have decided to no longer return to The Vineyard and to take our business elsewhere. read more

1st time visiting this establishment after enjoying Ficklin. The owner Chris made it a point to say hello! He definitely has a gem with fantastic staff service. Food was good, but not hot enough. Since we needed to get back to Clovis, reheated dish was very tasty! We will definitely be returning!! read more

Great service! Pretty darn good food!!!! Would go here again and the atmosphere was really home like. Great staff!

Liked everything about the meal. The service was excellent, the atmosphere laid back for being upscale and the food was top notch. I had the lasagna and it was stuffed with meat and cheese. My party had the steak and another the meatball pasta dish and they loved both. read more

Food was great. Appetizers sampler was amazing. The house made aioli was so yummy. Service was fast!

Great experience overall. Went with a group of friends. Service was great, waiters were attentive. Food was good, very fresh. Had the steak, cooked perfectly. I like a crust on mine and these are cooked on the grill, will ask to have it cooked on stainless or cast iron next time but everything else was great. read more

Total disappointment. We used to come to this place for the lasagna because it was one of the best in the valley. However, we have not visitors in years and we came back just to be disappointed. The dish was bland and had zero flavor. Douched it with salt and it was still bad. so disappointed as this places used to be one of our favorite spots for dinner. read more

We arrived for husbands birthday dinner. We were seated right away and our waiter came just moments later to greet us. Growing up in Madera the Vineyard still looks the same as it did growing up and still gives a older crowd vibe, but that did not matter because let's be honest... it's the only "Nice," restaurant left in Madera! Food was amazing as well as the drinks; wait staff was very helpful and assisted us in celebrating my husbands day. Definitely a must if looking for a "Upscale," (upscale as it gets for Madera) meal read more

This restaurant has the absolute best bartender in Madera County, hands down! Never had a drink made by him that wasn't exxxellent. The food is also delectable & the servers are on it!! I was hoping for a better experience here. I'll start by saying the host was friendly and our waiter was very nice and the martini was spot on. That said, the wedge salad was swimming in WAY too much dressing...it was flavorful and delicious dressing but there was just way too much of it. The pasta carbonara was, unfortunately, flavorLESS. Made more disappointing by the very long wait time to get it. There was only a couple other tables so not sure why the slow service. Doubtful I will return read more

Amazing food and service. Would love to return. The bread was amazing to start with. The filet was perfectly cooked and I asked for fries with it instead of the fingerling potatoes. Martinis were good, wine was decent. The dessert portions are pretty big for the price! Especially the creme brulee. Everything was amazing. read more

Great staff, great food. My wife and I enjoyed dinner on Oct. 26, after visiting a couple of wineries. Customer service was outstanding, we both enjoyed a cocktail, dinner and a shared a dessert. The staff is knowledgeable about menu items and willing to make recommendations. On a side note, I was using crutches for an Achilles injury, the accessible parking is right next to a gentle ramp up to the door. Easy to navigate on crutches. If you want a tasty and relaxed dining experience at a non-chain restaurant, this is the place. read more

We arrived at 4 pm when they opened. We sat and ordered right away. Our dinner came out in a reasonable amount of time. My husband's steak sandwich tasted like it was made with old meat. The rest of the meals were ok. The best part was the bread and olive dip. Where dinner went really bad was that our server forgot we were there. We had finished eating by 440, and then we're waiting on our server to come back to ask for boxes, a dessert to go, and the check. The host eventually saw us and approached at that point we asked for boxes, and a different server brought those over, but we again had to wait for our server to come back. When he finally did, we asked for a slice of cheesecake to go and the check. He left for over another 10-15 minutes before finally coming back. By the time we got our check, it had been one and half hours since we went in. We had thought about getting additional desserts to use the remaining of our gift certificate but decided we didn't want to wait any longer, so we just forfeited the additional on the certificate so we could leave. read more
