I would recommend this restaurant because of the excellent Food Service and it has bar, karaoke and dance floor

We were driving thru Madera and wanted some Brunch . Came across the Burrito King . It was busy but, we were seated promptly. We were served a Big Bowl of Great Salsa and Chips :) Hunny ordered Chili Colorado Burrito. I wanted more of a Breakfast Burrito- Eldelmira suggested the King Burrito I had Chorizo, Egg, Potatoes, Beans,Rice, and cheese . I had Red Sauce over it with Cheese ,Sour cream and Guacamole. It was huge ! And great ! Lots of families there enjoying a Sunday Brunch :) Great Find of a Mexican Restaurant. Also, they have a Bar area . Check them out if you are ever in Madera . read more

Today my family and I decided to try this restaurant in town. We went in excited to try the food, as it looked like a good restaurant. Boy were we completely disappointed. The food was horrible. I don't know if it was a bad day for them, but no one in my family liked their food. My boyfriend and I ordered the 3 entree meal with rice and beans, we both got a green sauce chicken enchilada, Al pastor taco, and a meat burrito with chile verde. For the price you would think it would be good, but far from it. The rice was dry and bland, black beans tasted like they were from a can, the Chile verde burrito was dry and it did not look like it was chile verde. It just looked like carnitas wrapped in a small flour tortilla with rice and beans. Even though it was suppose to be a MEAT BURRITO! As for the Al pastor taco, it was nothing to brag about. It had way too much lettuce, onions, and the meat wasn't the best. My mom ordered two popusas mixed, they were basically carnitas mixed with hella masa. My brothers ordered wet burritos, but some how they were dry and not good. When I informed our waitress about the food she informed, what I'm assuming was the manager or supervisor. She apologized for our experience, but treated us like if we were idiots and we had no taste in food. She basically told us that we should have read the menus and read the ingredients that come with the food. My family and I could have been rude and refused to pay for the food, but we paid $107 for food that was not worth it. Super disappointed with this restaurant. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you want real authentic food, try a taqueria like El Tibu or El Epazote. Hell, Vallarta has better food then this restaurant. If I could give this place a zero stars I would!! The bar area is the only place that looks like it's good. But that's about it. It's a shame, since the restaurant itself looks well taken care of and clean. But the service and food ruined it completely. read more

Came here with a friend for dinner. It was empty only one other couple finishing their meal when we arrived. Waitress took our drink order and then returned with our drinks. Next she took our food order than left and returned with the chips and salsa. Let me give the disclaimer that I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food and I like authentic Mexican food nothing else. This the resin they get three stars. The salsa left a lot yo be desired. We both ordered mojado burritos. The guacamole did not taste like freshly made but more like from a tub in refrigerator section of a grocery store. Salsa was similar. Portions are huge! So they got a extra star for that! Waitress forgot my water refill and brought me my water refill when I asked for a Togo box for the rest of my food. It's hard to believe how bad The Burrito king has gotten, I have been a loyal customer ever since they used to be over by Rite Aid!! I suggested we go there one night with out of town family and needless to say it was a VERY pricey and bad experience not to mention almost all of us left still hungry. Our server was very short and acted like we were bothering her when we had questions or needed anything. All but 2 of our orders were wrong (which when we notified the server she had so much attitude we just left it as it was) and the food was very bland and the amount of food we received was small for the price. Needless to say I doubt we will be back, which is sad because they are one of the very few restaurants in Madera that has been here for decades read more

We have been here before. Ingive high marks for the breakfast burritos and the Cadillac margaritas are exceptional. Came over with my wife and another couple. Friday night about 4:30. Figured on stopping in early so not to deal with a lot of people. A few at the table ordered a chil relleno plate. Started with a round of Cadillac margs, and chips, salsa and guacamole. Very enjoyable. The server was very nice. The time to get the food took way longer than needed considering the small number of people in the place. The Chile relleno plates appeared smaller in portion than usual, both the girls have ordered before, and both noticed that right away. I ordered the teriyaki ribeye steak sandwich and fries. That was a big mistake. Way overcooked and tough. I could not finish it and asked to have it taken off the bill. Took so long to get the food to begin with, I did not order anything else. I place order for almondiga soup and 3 birria taco plate , first they forgot my rice for the soup and on my taco plate forgot my beens and rice , I called to let them know they forgot by stuff and told them I live 20 min away , I told them if they could give me for another day a soup with rice as a courtesy and I guess manager said no , was really rude about it , I told her I live far it was not our fault that they forgot everything, never again will I go back and I will be letting my family and friends know , very disappointed, I was a true customer to this business, they for sure will not have my business again read more

Ate here on the way home from Shaver Lake. While the service was friendly, quick and accurate, the food was not as good as many other restaurants we have been too. Wow! All the wow! Had a craving tonight for some Mexican food and decided to door dash it. So many things to choose. Ordered a variety and whatever didn't get eaten now, well, lunch and dinner tomorrow. Ordered the chilequles. Forgive my spelling. Just the right amount of heat with beans and rice. So good. Also ordered a three item combo of a burrito, tamale, and an enchilada. Ate the burrito. Delicious. Also ordered a chicken mole burrito. Yummy! And a veggie burrito. Currently 39 degree in Madera, Can't think of any other place to have an good cup of coffee and rancheros other then Burrito King; and of coarse Momma Burrito King (not sure her name but you know who I'm taking about) is here and as always with a smile she knows exactly what I want as I walk in. But today I don't want to high lite the food (it's good as always) but a caring heart and what's still good in Madera. As I was enjoying my meal I noticed Momma Burrito King jump up and run outside to a homeless man walking north on gateway; she stopped him, had a short conversation with him, ran back in, made him a cup of coffee ran back outside and handed it to him. They smiled at each other seemly both hearts warmed as she turned and walked back in going about her business. Such a small gesture, but what an impact. Thank you Momma Burrito King. read more

So, It's 10/15/20 and although Fresno County is able to have indoor dining at the moment with 25% capacity, Madera County hasn't gotten the clear yet. It's ok. There is plenty of shaded patio seating here and it's spaced out perfectly. I haven't been here in years, but a good friend of mine brought me back. I'm so glad she did, because honestly, I've missed this place. Our server, Maira was amazing and totally took care of us. There were plenty of drink options from Michelada's to Margarita's and so much more...but, I was in the mood for beer tonight so that's what I got. I ordered the taquito appetizer plate and it totally hit the spot. You can choose chicken or shredded beef, and if your server asks you what you want on top... please, just take my advice and tell them you want the works! You can thank me later. As a long time Madera resident and patron of Burrito King, I have to say that this restaurant has an unfairly low rating on here. Burrito King is a Madera institution. They have a diverse, reasonably priced, menu- and their food is consistently good. Pro tip- get anything and everything with their red sauce. It's like gravy, and ridiculously good. The servers are always sweet and helpful. They constantly and reliably refill drinks and chips and salsa. AND they make a solid michelada. What more do you want, Madera?! I swear, if most people in this town had a choice, they would run every restaurant out of this town with their unreasonable expectations and all around bad attitudes. There today, Restaurant staff were able to accommodate a luncheon for 60 after a life celebration for my Dad, Bob Christiansen --he always enjoyed meals at Burrito King with my mom and would have been delighted with our gathering and the fantastic food they served.
