We had been wanting to try this place for a while, and now I'm disappointed we waited so long. Matthew was our server and provided exceptional service from start to finish. The food and prices both completely exceeded our expectations. I ordered the lasagna, and my wife had the shrimp scampi. The shrimp were absolutely huge, and the portions for both dishes were more than generous. The lasagna was exactly the style I love -- not overly soupy, with perfectly cooked noodles and great flavor throughout. We also ordered a caprese salad and four adult beverages, and our total bill was only around $100, which was surprisingly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. We recently dined at Nativo's Italian Restaurant at Chukchansi Casino in Coarsegold and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The food was bland and lacked flavor across the board. My daughter's chicken was poorly trimmed and had visible fat on it. My own meal didn't arrive with the rest of the table because the wrong plate was brought out, and it had to be remade. By the time I received my correct dish, everyone else was halfway through their meal. Service was also lacking. We had to ask multiple times for drink refills, and there was no acknowledgment, apology, or attempt to make things right after the delays and food issues. For a restaurant that is only open limited hours each week, we expected a much higher level of quality and attention. Sadly, this was one of the worst Italian dining experiences we've had. We hope management takes steps to improve both food quality and customer service. read more

It was my first time dining here and will be my last time. I was genuinely excited to try the food, considering the reviews I've read. All of the excitement evidently changed to disappointment because the service and the food is not worth the time nor the price. While they promote themselves to be a highly rated Italian dining restaurant - you would expect that the pasta itself would be cooked to perfection. But rather, be prepared for disappointment because the pasta is gummy yet stiff. For example - I ordered the shrimp scampi pasta. Now you would think, wow - shrimp scampi angel hair pasta?? That sounds delightful! I was under the same impression. Once I received the dish - it did in fact look appetizing; but once I dug in, it was utter disappointment and frustration. While the flavor of the sauce was nice and the cook on the shrimp was decent - the angel hair pasta was unappetizing and almost inedible (at least to pasta enthusiasts like myself). Kindly refer the the photos below: The angel hair pasta was spiraled together. My initial thought was - wow, it's so pretty! All I have to do is use my fork and gently move the pasta apart, but little did I know - it would take a lot more effort than that. The angel hair pasta was spiraled together like a knot, but it was stiff on the outside and gummy on the inside. The only way to separate the pasta was to utilize two forks - but even then, that was much harder than anticipated. As illustrated in the photo - when I held the wrapped angel hair pasta on my fork, it was stiff and did not come apart. When I did use my fork to separate them, it was gummy and stiff. A weird combination that no one should expect when encountering angel hair pasta. We spoke to our server, Wendy, and informed her of the problem. However, she was defensive and dismissive. She informed us that there was a new chef and that they recently changed how they made their shrimp scampi pasta. She mentioned that the chef purposefully created the pasta to be like that and it was the first time anyone has ever complained about the shrimp scampi pasta. Wendy was quick to defend the dish, rather than addressing our concerns. She did not show any empathy. After she left to speak with the chef, she stated that she could only provide us with a 25% discount off of the shrimp scampi dish as the dish was touched (we had eaten then shrimp before touching the pasta itself, before we realized there was an issue). After hearing that - we were disappointed. There was no remedy provided, no offer for any alternative dishes we would like to order, nor any offer to remake the dish. For context, our table ordered two order of the shrimp scampi pasta. One dish was already taken away by our server (as my friend could not eat it due to the state of the pasta). Whereas, my scampi dish was still on the table. Thereafter, the manager came by and informed us that they would remove the shrimp scampi pastas from our check, but would need to take my dish away. I wasn't even going to continue eating the dish, but it felt weird how the situation was handled. I understood that the dish needed to be taken away to have it removed off the bill - but even then, the manager did not ask if we would like anything else. Simply just took the dish and left. All of this to say - I do not recommend coming here because if you are a pasta enthusiast, you will be let down. The staff is not empathetic and will make you feel bad for saying something, even if brought up politely. PS - our table still tipped, despite this experience and service; however, we will never be stepping foot in this restaurant again. TLDR: food isn't good and staff doesn't care. Spend your money elsewhere. Olive Garden is better than this place. read more

Loved my seafood ravioli here! The sauce was so delicious and tastefully put together in regular ravioli size, I scarfed the whole thing up! This was our backup plan to visit since we couldn't make reservations at the steakhouse at the casino. I am so glad we got to eat here. We were pleasantly surprised they have great high end whiskey so my husband was happy. The bread they provide is delicious! We ordered the garlic bread on the side and the marinara sauce they bring with it is to die for! I thought the way they brought the garlic bread in thin slices on a plate was kind of weird. They also brought the Caesar salad not chopped and with whole romaine lettuce leaves which I thought was weird again. There wasn't enough dressing to soak up the whole lettuces. The giant meatball appetizer with the sauce is so good- like an Italian grandmothers meatball but a humongous one you could share with your party. Hubby had the New York steak and it was cooked charred with grill marks. So tender and surprisingly good for an Italian restaurant. My son ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and this lacked flavor-it definitely needed a lot more salt. Very large portion. Overall, experience was great for us! read more

Front of House: The front-of-house attendant was friendly, and greeted us by wishing us a Happy Anniversary. A little bird must have told her. Busser: Arturo was friendly and professional. Server: Savannah was gracious and attentive. Food: The food was mediocre at best. Shrimp Cocktail: The shrimps were large and had a good chew. The sauce was good. For $17.00, this was a satisfying dish. (4 of 5) Bread & Butter: The complimentary sourdough bread had a tangy flavor and a slightly chewy texture and was very well baked. The slightly salty butter complemented the bread. (5 of 5) Chicken Marsala: The chicken should be succulent with mushrooms cooked in a reduced wine sauce. The overall taste should be deep, nutty, with a slightly sweet flavor. This evening's dish was not the best. The chicken was dry and under-seasoned. (2 of 5) Filet of Dover Sole: The presentation looked nice, and I was excited to taste this beautiful dish. Unfortunately, this dish only looked nice - but didn't taste good at all. The description said it comes with oregano and grilled asparagus. I counted 4 pieces of ¼ inch wide asparagus on my plate. The taste left me with disgust. Though the noodles were well managed, the rest of the dish lacked substance. The entire dish was 'bland' with a capital B. I showed the server the number of asparagus on my plate and she offered to bring me some on the side. As you can see from my photo, I managed to finish the extra asparagus but left three quarters of my dinner on the plate. I felt jibbed, having to pay $29.00 for this mediocre dish. My family and I made reservations for the $59/person Sunday brunch. The service is very quick and friendly, with the servers and bussers tending to whatever you request. The brunch included seafood, prime rib and more traditional breakfast fare, as well as a dessert table. The restaurant was packed but it didn't feel super loud or hectic, we were able to enjoy our meal without feeling like we were crowded or couldn't hear. The highlights were definitely the seafood table and the dessert table. The crab clusters were a generous size with plenty of meat in them (no snow crab here!) and the shrimp were huge. An array of condiments were available, including drawn butter. Oysters and sushi were also available. The hot food table was honestly kind of underwhelming. There were waffles, which were super dense and hard, and omelette station, bacon and sausage, prime rib sliced on the thinner side. I didn't see many sides for the meat carving station like veggies or salad. There were truffle mashed potatoes but I was the only one in my party that cares for truffle flavor. Overall, not the wide variety or quality I would want in a $59 buffet. What saved it was the seafood for me. The dessert table was mostly standard pastries and breads. There were a couple different flavors of mousses. The standout here was the crepe station where you could get a sweet crepe with ice cream on the side and the mini crème brûlées. Overall, a decent breakfast, but the spread, aside from the seafood, was not worth the $59 charge. I don't think I'd return for the buffet, but maybe to try their standard menu. read more

Hello all, Well finally made it to the brunch at Nativos in Chukchansi Casino and was surprised. As you enter the first sight is the desert bar with multiple choices omg. The second was a small bar area and folks enjoying their mimosa's and other adult beverages. Secondly you see the Seafood station with many delicious choices crab cluster , cold Shrimp w/cocktail sauce , to many to mention and the servings were very generous and the staff at this station were so helpful and friendly. Now the Hot station or omelette station here where the problem began. Serving staff were somewhat confused and not inviting at all short tempered confused people's order ingredients for omelettes also refused to listen to who had what I ended up with someone else's order. I just took it just to stop the madness. The waffles were cold and began to get hard in the serving line it wasn't appealing or appetizing on that side. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly and helpful. I guess I will wait a bit and try a dinner there as me being a retired business owner for almost 30 years I believe they can do better. Came in to have brunch with 3 of my family members to only leave with the biggest disappointment with service and quality of the food. For starters, we arrived 45 mins before they close at 2:30 pm. The man at the omelet station was not friendly at all and just stood there until I asked for an omelet. Its quite obvious that I wanted one so I decided to stare at him a little longer and just started picking my items. Not even a "hello" or "What would you like in your omelet?" at least smile? Then as we proceeded to gather at our table, no servers came up and asked us if we'd like anything else to drink other than water. But the waitress that buzzed around all the other tables seems to hit each and everyone of them, especially the table behind us where she stood and held a conversation for the duration of our meal and completely acts like me and my Asian family doesn't EXIST. I made eye contact with 3 waiters in total and none of them cared to come and check up on our table, even when there was a heaping pile up of plates sitting at the very edge of our table. Therefore, I came to the conclusion that no one here wanted any TIPS, neither did they ever want us to come back. So, in hindsight, if you're willing to spend $60 per person for unlimited brunch with the worst service and server-less, this place takes the cake! P.S. The food was mediocre and for them to charge as much as a Vegas buffet but with the smallest amount of food options, was the biggest joke. My husband took me to Nativos for the first time last night. We had been wanting to go for quite some time now. We sat down and noticed who was supposed to be our waitress go to the hostess asking which tables she had. Our waitress completely ignored us. She was a Caucasian lady, had her hair pulled back in a pony tail, but I didn't get her name. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged, or even offered some water. A gentleman with long hair, in a pony tail asked if we had been helped. We told him no. He said he would take care of us, and he took the initiative to make up for the lack of customer service. He provided great service all around. He most definitely needs to be recognized for his hard work. As for the lady who was supposed to help us, we strongly recommend she brush up on her hospitality skills. My husband is a chef and has been in the industry for 16 years, and knows how good customer serviceand hospitality should be ran. This is not acceptable. We went to Nativos for dinner on Friday, 14 November 2025. We had been there before and the food was good in our past experiences. This night was absolutely horrible. I ordered chicken parmesan and my boyfriend ordered fettucine alfredo. The lighting is low in there so it was hard to see the food we were brought. Even with the flashlight on my phone it still was hard to see, but on cutting into my chicken, I felt something might be wrong with it because it was hard to cut. I took a bite and had to spit most of it out - it had PAPER in it. It appeared to be the kind of paper that lines the bottom of trays of raw meats that you buy at the store. It also had a huge piece of flabby, undercooked chicken skin on it, which should not have been there. I could not believe they would serve this to anybody. The waiter called the manager who apologized and didn't charge for our meal. The fettucine my boyfriend had was gummy and tasteless, but at least edible. I don't know who was cooking that night, but no real chef would put out garbage like that. I don't believe the wait staff could tell by looking at it that it was so awful, so they are not to blame. We will not be returning. It is too bad, because we used to enjoy going there. read more

decided to try the Sunday brunch offered at Nativo's a restaurant that usually serves Italian food during the week. This wasn't your ordinary brunch. This brunch was served by restaurant staff due to covid regulations. The restaurant layout was found in the corner of the hotel where you see the view of the hills from your table. In warmer months, you're able to actually eat outside on the patio. We were promptly greeted and escorted to escorted to our table. They they recommended reservations which which we had, however I did not need them not need them this time. We were pleasantly surprised to used to see the nice layout and the food selection was not typical of a is typical of a restaurant brunch.. This buffet reminded me of something I would expect in Las Vegas.. I started off with the selection of fresh oysters oysters, crab legs and caviar. I was quite impressed with the caviar selection For breakfast. There was also a Sushi table where they would make fresh sushi per your request. I found the sushi fresh and delicious. There was a there was a omelet station and a carvin station.. I did not enjoy the prime rib it was overcooked. They also had bacon bacon sausage and potatoes Breakfast style. I was impressed with the truffled mashed potatoes they were excellent. For dessert , there were is Europe cupcakes fresh fruit. We ordered a bottle of percceco to make mamosas. The staff was very professional except they never cleared our tables fast enough. The chef came out and spoke to us about the menu which was great. He always. He also let us sample some of his chocolate torts that he prepares for the dinner service. I definitely plan to be back to try out his Italian menu. read more

We sat here for over an hour for any type of check in to see if we needed anything and we never got help from her again. My husband, brother, friend and I decided to try Nativo's for their Thanksgiving buffet. The turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, antipasto and most of the desserts were all very good. My brother liked the pumpkin ravioli - I did not. The ham was super salty, the candied yams and cranberry sauce tasted like they were straight out of a can. The stuffing was similar to Stove Top, the salmon stunk like 3-day old flounder. Ready for this?... the tiramisu was pre-made and packaged. Nativo's is supposed to be a gourmet Italian restaurant. Packaged tiramisu? Seriously? Anyone who calls themselves an Executive Chef for this place is fooling themselves. The decor is lovely. The service was excellent. The town of Oakhurst forced us to come here for some takeout. We were planning on hitting a couple of the more popular Oakhurst restaurants for takeout, but, they all stopped taking takeout orders by about 6:30 PM. Needing a dinner from a place not called Denny's or McDonalds in Oakhurst, we decided to try Nativo's. Nativo's seems to be the signature restaurant at the Chukchansi Indian reservation in Coarsegold. They did not accept phone or on line orders, so I was force to go inside. It was good getting out of the car and exploring the casino. Nativo's has an amazing view of the foothills that we would've enjoyed if we ate there. They are open Wednesday through Sunday with a brunch on Sunday. The bartender who took my order was nice and friendly. We ordered their linguine alle vongole and a papparadelle Bolognese. The linguine alle vongole was filled with fresh clams, probably more than any other Italian place I've been to. Not only that, both my wife and I agreed that the linguine tasted pretty good. The papparadelle Bolognese had a good amount of meat. My daughter and I liked it. All their pastas were handmade. A side of bread was also provided. It was a very good dinner all made possible by Oakhurst restaurants shutting down their takeout early. read more

Wow!!! Whenever we make the drive to Chukchansi we always dine at Nativo's. Sam, the chef is such an exceptional talent. His dishes are to die for. My husband always orders the lasagna and I like to change it up a bit. We love to sit at the bar and chat with William the bartender. He serves up amazing service and makes the best drinks. Always calm and welcoming, we love his energy! We really cannot say enough of Sam's expertise in the dishes he creates and William ensures you have the best dining experience. Wife and I just had a wonderful dinner tonight. My wife had the shrimp cocktail which she said was delicious. The shrimp were HUGE. For a main course she continued the shrimp theme and had shrimp pasta and again the shrimp were giant and tasted very good. I had a jumbo meatball for an appetizer and lasagna. I recently dined here for their Sunday brunch. So only on Sundays from 10:30am to 2:30pm they have a buffet/all you can eat brunch. It's a bit more pricey but this place when it's not their brunch special is generally more costly due to the higher quality menu and ambiance and dining experience. It's $39.95 for adults, $19.95 for children 5-12 and under 5 free. With that said, although you don't get massive amount of choices compared to the cheaper brunch option at the actual buffet int he casino, you get higher end choices. If you love seafood, this is for you. They have jumbo gulf shrimp, quality crab claws, oysters, and clams (no lobster). All were very good. They have a sushi chef making fresh sushi right in front of you. He was also taking requests. Caviar--yes they also have caviar. They have a small salad section, an assortment of european cheeses and crackers. The hot station had truffle whipped potatoes, bacon, brioche french toast, make your own omelette station, and a carving station that had new york strip, lamb chops, ham, and i believe there is a rotation of other meats depending on when you go. I only had the new york strip and it was cooked perfectly. They have a dessert station that had a enough choices to give a variety--such as the typical sliced fruit, made to order banana or strawberries fosters, assortment of pastries. Also included in price are the typical beverages of soda, coffee, juice, AND endless mimosas or Bellinis. I was satisfied with the options even though it wasn't massive. If I wasn't a seafood person I probably would say it was a bit overpriced. But someone into seafood can clearly see how worth it the place is. The seafood really is the highlight here. The hot station--despite only a few options--were all good as well and provoked the same quality as the others. Brioche french toast is the closest you will be getting to pancakes--because there are no pancakes--or waffles. But the brioche french toast was good and my kids enjoyed them. I wish the dessert station had cheesecake or ice cream, but I know Nativo's is not a buffet, but a fine dining restaurant here that just happens to have a brunch buffet on sundays, so I can't expect the same amount of choices. The service here was top notch too. Everyone was very nice and personable without feeling robotic. Remembering again, this place when not Sunday brunch is more of the upscale restaurant--so the service shows. I would definitely eat here again. I would also recommend it, if you were into seafood. If you don't eat a lot of shrimp, crab, oysters, etc then you may not get your monies worth and you may find eating at the buffet in the casino. They are doing a bad job of advertising the brunch because it should be getting more attention due to the higher quality choices and endless mimosas and bellinis. The dining area doesn't have too many tables and if hype builds this place can easily get packed with a wait. There is LIMITED outdoor seating, and it's definitely nice to sit out there to enjoy the view while dining. Depending where in Fresno or Clovis you are coming from, its anywhere from 30-40 mins. If you are planning to gamble and you are here already, check it out. This is a nice alternative to Copper River brunch. read more

Just finished an amazing evening at Nativo's. Great wine, excellent food, but what made the evening was our server Mathew. Starting from recommendations on appetizers and champagne to answering all our questions, he was superb. But what made the evening special, is the conversation, my family felt like we made a friend and was eating at his place. The sunset is amazing! We sat out there for over 20 minutes and no one came out to take our order or even give us any water. When we tried to go back in the door was locked. Thank goodness a nice gentleman sitting inside opened the door for us. When we tried to talk to the hostess she acted like she couldn't be bothered with us and was rude and refused to sit us inside.
