The worst sandwich I ever had the "pleasure" of reviewing.
Elgin M.

If I could give less stars I would. Really pathetic attempt at making a sandwich that resembled anything worth paying for much less $14 for what you called a "French Dip". I can't say more about how disappointed I am. You should be ashamed to put this on a plate and send that out to a paying customer. Rename this the "Beef jerky and dry stale bread sandwich" and your menu will be more accurate.

Food was alright, the lady who took our order was very nice and friendly. Honestly would come back if there was nothing else open.

Bomb breakfast. Can't beat the prices. Highly recommended. Wish they were open 7 days a week.

Shaver Lake Pub N Grub - Onion Rings.. so good!

Someone could have come by to say it'll be a few minutes or something. One we did get our order in, food was quick and everyone enjoyed what they had. We left the patio with our children and their pizza while my husband stayed behind to wait for the food we had ordered for the adults. As we were leaving, a truck was parked very close to the patio gate. We were careful to hold the gate open and guide our children through so that it would not come into contact with the truck. Despite our efforts, the bartender, Ashleigh, came outside with an attitude and told us not to hit her truck on the way out. She then went back inside and told people sitting at the bar to come look at her vehicle. We approached the people who came outside to check the truck and explained that we had been very careful and had not allowed the gate to touch it. One gentleman was polite and said he believed us. We went back inside to speak with a manager, but one was not available at the time. Later, we called Mike simply to inform him about the bartender's behavior and how unnecessarily rude the interaction had been. He said he would address the issue with the owners and review the security cameras. We welcomed that suggestion because the footage would clearly show that we did not hit anyone's truck and had no issue complying with the request to leave the patio with our children's pizza. The situation could have been handled professionally and respectfully, but instead we were treated as though we had done something wrong when we had not.

After a 3 hour drive from Sacramento we worked up an appetite and some buddies took us to North…read moreFork BBQ.. we did arrive late so they were almost out of just about everything which effected what we could order however my wife got the "outlaw potato" and I got the Carolina pig sandwich.. (those were our only two options at the time we arrived) but neither disappointed: The outlaw potato: If comfort food and gourmet creativity had a baby, it would be this open-faced smoked potato masterpiece. From the first glance, it's clear this isn't your average spud -- the sea salt-crusted skin adds a satisfying crunch that gives way to a pillowy, smoky interior. Melted butter and tangy sour cream mingle at the base, setting the stage for the savory dance of crisp bacon bits and fresh green onion. The Carolina pig: this sandwich is what barbecue dreams are made of. Served on a perfectly soft, oil-top bun, the pork is tender, smoky, and slow-cooked to perfection -- each bite packed with that signature tangy Carolina flavor that fans of true BBQ will instantly recognize and love. Service: was top notch the girls were ready to go home, yet they entertained us and kept us laughing with offering items they no longer had on the menu. They did not make us feel rushed nor did they throw any shade at us that we were probably holding them up from closing shop.

Their chicken thighs are really good and I got the tri tip plate with potato salad and baked beans. It was moist and tender. They also have a dog friendly patio which we really appreciated. Abby loved getting to eat with us. Don't forget to get there early for a wider selection of bbq. Next time I am having brisket. P.S. I had heard a rumor they were moving to the coast. They say they are closing November 23rd.

Blue Oak Grille - Soggy gross flat cold pizza

This Blue Oak Grille is located inside the Table Mountain Casino just outside Fresno. It serves…read morebreakfast, lunch and dinner. It's decently up scale sort of, so it's no hole in the wall casino coffee shop. Some of my crew decided to try their luck, so me and the other girl on my crew decided to get something to eat here. The host seated is just fine and the server was friendly. I see they have a Sunday brunch buffet here. I wish it was Sunday, I could go for that! Our drinks came out quickly and we placed our food orders. I got a cheeseburger with onion rings and my friend got fish and chips with onion rings instead of fries. My friend ordered the potstickers for an appetizer. Prices aren't any casino bargain here, but it is a resort with no other competition out there. Our food arrives and my burger looks good, like a cheeseburger should. The fish was served on top of the onion rings. The food was tasty and no complaints. The pot stickers were sort of the deep fried type instead of the steamed, like a Chinese restaurant, but they were decent. Now we'll go find the rest of the crew and see if they have any money left!

Spent over $400 for five people at Blue Oak Grille on Mother's Day expecting an upscale buffet…read moreexperience, but the evening was disappointing from beginning to end. The atmosphere felt generic and underwhelming, and the buffet setup and food quality resembled more of a casual chain buffet, think John's Incredible Pizza with Vons catering, than a high-end casino restaurant. The "seafood station" somehow had no actual fish despite salmon being listed on the menu. The lobster salad was overly gooey, the shrimp were simply cold shrimp on ice, and most dishes lacked flavor. We ultimately ended up eating shrimp quesadillas and fried rice specially prepared by the kitchen because there were almost no substantial vegetarian or warm seafood options available. For a city as diverse as Fresno, the menu showed very little consideration for guests with different dietary preferences. It was heavy on pasta and meat. The dessert station was messy and poorly maintained, our server was largely absent throughout dinner, and even getting water required repeated requests. At the end of the meal, when I asked for coffee, I was told only basic black drip coffee was available, and the only soft drinks offered were Pepsi products. For a restaurant at this price point, the lack of basic variety in coffee and tea options felt surprising. We also left without dessert, as nothing felt appealing or well presented. What made the experience even more frustrating was being charged automatic gratuity before even entering the restaurant despite receiving minimal service all evening. On Mother's Day, one of the busiest restaurant holidays of the year, there was also no manager on-site to address concerns, and staff informed us management would not be available until Thursday. For the amount charged and the way this restaurant presents itself, the experience felt poorly executed, poorly managed, and nowhere near worth the cost.
