    Chicken Marsala Pasta!
    Ana F.

Visiting shaver lake, came across Aroma yelp page. The food looked delicious and let me tell you it did not disappoint! We ordered the ribeye dinner and the Chicken Marsala pasta. The ribeye was delicious. A little bit more well than we wanted but it was still tender and a little juicy but overall savory and well seasoned. The Marsala! The chicken was cooked to perfection. It melted in my mouth and I wish I could have it again for dinner tonight . They do change their menu with seasons so don't expect them to have all things you see on yelp. I had asked about a few dishes I'd seen that I hoped to try. But definitely a must go if you're up in the mountains! Thanks for the friendly service! We hope to be back soon!

Would have given them 5 stars but the service was weak. Sign at entrance said "Wait to be seated" we stood there for a few. When we were seat, never asked or brought water. We waited for a bit before our order was taken, asked for water then. Bad part, they were not busy. As we waited for our food ( Waitress just disappeared) person after person just stood at the door waited to be seated. Food was excellent, everything tasted and was cooked great. I would definitely go back for the food. Nice set up patio, dining and decor. Hunter you need to continue to comment and review your posts. Show you care and improve.

Went both Friday and Saturday. A sign out front says "Happy Hour Friday and Saturday 3-5" it also says live music. Nobody inside knew anything about a happy hour and there was no music either day. I'm not sure why you would deliberately put a sign out and not offer anything on the sign. Seems a bit shady. I have them 2 stars because I stayed for a drink one night to not be rude and the drink was okay. Blood orange margarita.

Aroma was the last restaurant before heading north out of Shaver Lake and towards our camping site. Given the location and the circumstances, I'm going to give Aroma a solid Yelp 4. The welcoming was cold and the meat was dry. I would give it a 2.5 if I were in a busy city with more choices. I enjoyed the ambience. I suggest you stop by and maybe you have a better luck than us.

Excellent Steak and Service, But Skip the Bread What do you call a sad steak? A miss-steak. Thankfully, there were no such tragedies here. I came for a nice dinner and found a very comfortable spot with a unique ambience, both inside and out. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the entire meal. The main event, the Rib Eye, was cooked exactly as I requested, featuring a beautiful crust that gave way to a perfectly prepared interior. While it leaned a bit on the salty side for my personal taste, it was an excellent cut of meat and well-executed. The zucchini sticks were a standout appetizer--pleasantly thick and very flavorful. The one true disappointment was the bread. The rolls were dry and completely unremarkable. Honestly, they could have just saved themselves the effort. Despite this minor carb-related incident, the overall experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Aroma Tavern to anyone looking for a place with great service and a masterfully cooked steak. Just maybe fill up on the tasty zucchini instead of the bread.

    Pork Belly Mac & Cheese

Loved this place!!! Aroma Tavern offered elevated comfort foods with all the Shaver Lake charm! The restaurant feels like a log cabin inside. The menu offers many beers on draft along with craft cocktails. The pork belly mac and cheese was soooo good. The pork belly is slow roasted but also so crispy, yum! Service was friendly and inviting, and they also have their own large parking lot which is convenient! We will be back on our next trip up the mountain!

Really good food. Friendly atmosphere. Good music. Good cocktails 1cook. 2 or3 servers. Polenta was nothing really to write home about but the mains were delicious.

If you decide to stop here; do yourself a favor and save time and money by just grabbing a drink at the bar. Don't eat the flavorless, disappointing food. The owners need to taste the food coming out of that kitchen and manage plate presentation.

The ride up the hill is always relaxing and scenic, at times you can see wild turkeys and other wildlife, taking the old Millerton road you ride past a property that has Bison, Alpacas and Giraffes along with horses and cattle. A ride with a late breakfast was in order so after riding through the hills it was time to satisfy my biker appetite and dig into some delicious food. As you can see I chose a hearty meal something common but still appreciated. The restaurant was a buzz with other travelers and with the TV on and conversation wafting through the air the thought of my travels around the lower 48 states occupied my mind. The service was prompt (never an empty coffee cup) and even the proprietor shared the duty of checking the customers at the counter bar (he was very cool). The decor was reflective of the years gone by and I could identify myself with some of the items seen, always a nice touch. Be sure to travel and see the these small mom n pop business you gain much more than just a good meal, included is a view to the past and maybe just maybe a glimpse of yourself back in time.

It's a small little convience store/restaurant on making Tollhouse Road with a large menu of many American and Italian cuisine classics. Everytime, you are instantly greeted with the friendly, Tollhouse charm of the staff. I would recommend calling in your order ahead of time, as it can take 10-20 minutes for it to be ready. My favorite item from them is the Reuben sandwich, a pastrami served on grilled marbled rye bread with 1000 islander dressing, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut. The menu says that it comes with a pickle spear, but I think that I have only had that once when I dined in. It also comes with French fries that are well seasoned and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The sandwich is always so perfectly cooked and juicy and leaves you feeling satisfied with the portion size. Truly the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had. As much as I have wanted to try other options on the menu, their Reuben is just that exceptional that I absolutely need to get it anytime I'm near the area.
