The Warming Hut wasn't promising as much as we taught. Wait time was so long and no one did text us when the table was ready! We were waiting at car while the guests that were waiting inside were coughing without even covering their mouth. I checked the web that they sent when i got into reservation! The ambiance was ok but they were too busy and understaffed. I asked for straws and she brought with bare hand and tossed in sticky table. The food was !!! For appetizers we ordered garlic parmesan fries and crispy Brussels sprouts. Garlic fries was too gross and we didnt eat! It seemed they made it long time ago! The taste was awful and the sprouts were burnt. We also ordered Asian stir fry with cilantro lime rice with steak and salmon! The stake was black we asked for well done not burnt one...The salmon was too small with no flavor and too dry. I was surprised and disappointed to see bones in my grill salmon as ive never had this happen before when ordering grillled salmon on my salad. The stir veggies were super messy and watery on top of rice...Overpriced for what we got. $18 for Asian Stir fry, $10 for dry small salmon, $12 for burnt steak, $10 garlic parmesan fries and $15 for burnt Brussels sprouts. The parking was hectic so if you stay close by its better to walk.. Also, we sat next to the window and the wind was coming inside from closed windows and it wasnt pleasant.

The Warming Hut was an unexpected surprise while at Mammoth! Great service and food is what this place is serving up daily! This place gets busy so arrive early. If you need to wait you can chill at the bar in the front and watch a ball game. This place has you covered. It's also worth noting that Warming Hut can handle large groups. We were a party of 10! The food...it's a bit of everything on the menu. I opted for the daily special which was a pair of birria tacos with side of rice and beans. The flavor was solid and the amount of food for the price was perfect. Overall, it's definitely a place I'd recommend if you're looking for a great place to eat and unwind while visiting Mammoth. You'll feel right at home!

These are NOT the good fries. Make sure you ask for the homemade fries!!!

Usually pretty darn amazing! I LOVE the sunshine sandwich add an egg. BOMBBBB. Richie makes this place amazing. The fresh cranberry is also very impressive. My only complaint is the inconsistent fries. They have these homeade fries that are to die for. The homeade ketchup is also delicious. But in the slow times it seems that they switch out the good fries for frozen ones and they are not good. Pretty unfortunate that they seemingly punish the customers supporting them during the shoulder season. We will still come here as it really is good. But before we order fries next time we will now be asking if the have the good fries or not. ---- **highly** suggest you do this also ;)

Top marks for this spot. Be careful there can be a nice wait depending on when you get there. But it's definitely worth it. Take your time and walk around a bit, you'll need to work off your food anyway. I got an order of chilaquiles with a side of toast and bacon. The chorizo and salsa was incredible. Super flavorful and spicy. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. I demolished everything. Parking is very tight in their lot and can definitely get full. Place is smaller but has outside seating which you can take advantage of on a nice day.

Looked at the other reviews and decided to try it out. We were greeted quickly with a smile. The fireplace was a nice touch. The menu looked amazing. So many choices. We decided on the Texas Bbq and tomato soup to share. Well the sandwich was so good we ordered another. Tender and so tasty! Nice soft bun. Perfection. The soup was incredible- again so much flavor. Finished it off with blueberry pie (server recommended) WOW. Perfect ending. The service was great too. Our server Rich was the best, friendly and in a great mood , he checked back often. He was always smiling . And the food came out so quickly! Even with a busy lunch time crowd. Added plus. Definitely recommend and we are going back for dinner. Don't miss this spot.

Cute breakfast spot that's dog friendly with good but maybe not amazing comfort food. We wanted a spot we could grab some breakfast that would allow dogs and found this spot. We came on a Sunday at 9 and it was just starting to get busy. 4 groups ahead of us but we got sat within 15 minutes or so. Nice servers and they check in pretty regularly so that was nice. We got the chilaquiles, chicken and waffles, and a half order of the biscuits and gravy. The chilaquiles has a nice kick of spice to it. I added chorizo which added a lot of oil which made the chips soggier which was a bit of a bummer but otherwise a good dish. The chicken and waffles were similarly solid. The chicken was pretty typical, well fried, decent seasoning, not dry. The waffles were fluffy and soft and prety tasty. The biscuits and gravy were also...good. A chunky gravy with lots of sausage. The biscuit was dry which was a bit of a bummer. I liked the outdoor space, nice area and they had dog bowls with water so they are actually dog friendly. All in all, a solid breakfast spot with good comfort food. Not the best but a place I would come back to.

Seated fast. They allowed us to move easily to give a bit of space. We started with chips and salsa with fry rub wings. Both were great!! I got an Epic IPA great flavor i sense a bit of orange / happy Joey took care of us today and was amazing!!! Burgers are large and tasty, they even have r8ce based GF buns. The salad is topped well and the ranch is so very good! Love some good ranch! The flat iron steak is so good and the creamy mashed potatoes are very creamy and tasty. Our experience was very good. Joey was so dang friendly!! 2nd visit for me. Will return again and again

We got here for a late lunch. They seated us promptly and we requested a seat change out of the corner which they accommodated without issue. Once seated our server told us right away they were switching to Happy Hour Menu in 20 minutes to prep for dinner service so requested we place our order post haste. We were a group of 7 and had a variety of food items across the table. The food was pretty good all around. The rueben was spectacular. We were checked up on sufficiently and staff is great here. If it ain't obvious yet, we had a great experience here.

Best service! We came in with kids and babies and they quickly accommodated us! The food was really good. The burgers and the breakfast were delish. The cocktails were really really good too. The bar tender made us delicious drinks. The ambiance is nice too. Really clean and nicely designed.

Been craving a good rib eye for weeks and finally satisfied. Honestly, the best home-cooked meal in Mammoth without the dishes. I love The Warming Hut!

So it was my first time in Mammoth Lakes with my family and I, and from all the different restaurants to choose from this one stood out the most so we decided to give it a try, and it was simply amazing! The inside of the restaurant was very nice, clean, and organized. The staff was all very friendly, the food was all amazing. In fact, so great, we ended up going back the next day. Will definitely be coming back here. Next time I visit. Nothing but good vibes from this place.

I was excited to try out this cute little place tucked away on the side streets of mammoth. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The service did take a bit of time but after our food came the servers checked in on my table often. The menu had lots to offer including all the usual suspects even mocktails. The food was okay, honestly nothing I would rave about. Portion sizes were good for the cost. Drinks were about the same. Caeser salad wasn't exactly what I've had before, unfortunately I wasn't a big fan.

ABC chicken sandwich w sweet potato fries and a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup if the day
    Jim S.

This is a very cool cafe in Mammoth Lakes, nice mountain cafe vibe. The staff were very friendly, Joey was our server and was very attentive and friendly. My wife had the ABC grilled chicken sammie with sweet potato fries and loved both. I had the burger and fries and a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup. Burger was tasty and juicy. Star of the show were those fries! Best ever. Wasn't a big fan of the soup this time. All in all a great lunch and great vibe. Hope you'll give them a try.

    Is there a kids menu?

We do have a kids menu.

    Do you do reservations?

    Nope

Do you guys have a happy hour? if so, is there pictures of the happy hour menu?

Hi! Please stand by as we work on bringing happy hour back. It was one of those “COVID casualties” that we haven’t managed to restore quite yet.

Do they have outdoor dining now?

    Yes!

Is the patio open now (November) and do they have heaters?

No they don't sit people outside in the winter and have no heaters whatsoever.

Is the warming hut open on Veterans Day?

    Is it dog friendly?

Yes! We love furry friends! Unfortunately health code won’t allow them to join us inside but when the weather is nice it’s a dog party on the patio.

We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth. Another good but different experience at Shelter Distilling.

I highly recommend waiting in their waiting area or downstairs for your table as they will come to find to if something opens up quicker. Everything we ordered was tasty. We were very hesitant to try the Asian sticky ribs but it actually ended up being really good. I can't remember what the vegetable dish (4th pic) was called but it was also very good if you got a bite with everything in it. It had sweet potato, beet, candied walnuts and pomegranate seeds! We also ordered some drinks. The curry drink (forgot the name) was surprisingly good despite the odd list of ingredients that went in. Their local black cherry soda was also very nice. Service is great and very helpful when it came to recommendations. The space is small and doesn't allow dogs which was a bummer but still a spot I would come back to try more of their seasonal items!

Super friendly, attentive, and took the time to walk us through the beer options while we already had our food picked out. Service like that makes a difference. We started with the mushroom soup (soup of the day). It was fully blended and smooth -- no big chunks -- and while it wasn't the most memorable soup ever, it definitely hit the spot after being out in the cold all day. The Oyster Rockefeller was the highlight. Perfectly done. The oysters tasted fresh, the spinach flavor came through nicely, and the crispy topping added the perfect crunch. I planned to have just one... ended up eating two. For the main, we ordered the steak medium well. It came out more charred on the outside than expected, so it wasn't amazing, but still solid. The fries were great though -- especially paired with beer. Overall, the food was good but not extraordinary. However, the service -- especially from Alonso -- really elevated the experience. Because of that, and the cozy post-snowboard vibe, this earns 5 stars.

We arrived and were greeted warmly by our host and seated at a table in front of the fireplace. The restaurant is very small and cozy. Our server took our drink orders and brought out a bread basket. We all ordered the following: - Soup of the day (loaded baked potato) - short rib fries - oven roasted Frenched chicken breast - chicken Parmesan - pan seared chinook salmon - shrimp scampi There was a small hiccup when my 10-year-old son noticed another table had been served chicken tenders and fries. We weren't offered a kids' menu, so he had ordered chicken Parmesan from the regular menu. Not a huge issue, but it would have been nice to know kid-friendly options were available. Unfortunately, service timing became more of a problem toward the end of the meal. After we had mostly finished eating, our server asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. We said yes, and I gently reminded her we were celebrating a birthday. When she returned, she brought a complimentary birthday dessert with a candle (very thoughtful gesture!) but our dinner plates, empty glasses, and general table clutter were still in front of us. We also still hadn't seen the dessert menu we'd asked for, which made the moment feel rushed and a bit awkward. Needless to say, our server seemed to catch on that I was disappointed in the service towards the end of our meal. It seemed like she was the only server on the floor, too, which probably explained the lack of attentiveness and timing issues. Overall, the food was alright and everyone enjoyed their meals. It was an okay dining experience but the service could definitely use some improvement. For a restaurant with higher menu prices and a more upscale presentation (linen napkins, cozy ambiance, etc.), the level of service didn't quite match my expectations. I would still return as it could've just been an "off" night and their martinis were great!

We tried to snag a late New Year's Eve reservation and struck out, but the staff was super accommodating and fit us in on a following night. Very glad they did. The space itself is small, cozy, and intimate in the best way. It feels warm and inviting, especially after a long day in the cold, and sets the tone for a relaxed, linger-over-wine kind of dinner. The food was excellent across the board. We ordered elk, cod, and scallops and the scallops were the clear mic drop. Perfectly cooked, rich, and memorable. Our server recommended a bottle of wine that paired beautifully with everything and felt like someone actually listened instead of just pointing at the most expensive option. Service all around was warm, attentive, and unpretentious, which is not always a given in resort towns. Dessert was sorbet, simple but refreshing, and my girlfriend ordered a port she really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the meal was very disappointing--especially given the price point. Our starter salad was mostly iceberg lettuce, the lamb starter was undercooked, and while the scallops were very good, $8 per scallop felt excessive. The beef Wellington, which we were particularly excited about, was bland and the pastry was doughy. For a dinner that totaled over $300 for two people, we expected a much higher level of quality and creativity. Compared to our previous visits, the food felt like it had gone noticeably downhill.
