I have never posted on Yelp, but this place was sooooo good! The service was awesome!

Our group came here for a traditional breakfast and this place looked great online! We had our two pups with us and they had a nice outdoor seating. Our server was awesome and fun to chat it up with, he brought out or food right away. We had a pancake, the veggie hash, scrambled eggs and cappuccino's. All were great. We liked how they had a section just for sides so if you wanted to make up your own breakfast you could or just want something light. Something for everyone! read more

On the positive side, the waffle was delicious, and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. The service was also good. My friend ordered a soda, but it was flat. The staff immediately offered us a refund, which I really appreciated. Overall, the customer service was great, but the quality of the chicken definitely needs improvement. read more

I honestly don't know how this place has good reviews...I walked in with a group and the sign said the host will seat you. Ok, so I waited. 5 minutes go by, and within that time, MULTIPLE staff came up to the host stand to grab menus, put menus back, get supplies, whatever it was, and not a SINGLE person greeted or attempted to seat us or mention the host would be there shortly. A few minutes passed and we ended up grabbing a server's attention who said "the host will be with you shortly". A few more minutes passed, and that same server came back and sat us because no one knew where the host was. Meanwhile, multiple servers are just hanging around talking. The food wasn't even worth all the Hassle. We got 2 burgers, a club sandwich, and a chicken ABC. Burgers were good, but the sandwiches were whatever. The restaurant stated they were a scratch kitchen, which set high expectations for me, which sadly were not met. The ketchup was GROSS (think tomato purée or marinara sauce served for your fries), the ranch was watery. The ambiance was not great either as it was very loud, echo-y, flies everywhere since it's open, and the people sitting behind me were loud and dropping f-bombs every other word. Giving 2 stars because our server was on it! She did a fantastic job. Maybe lunch is just not the time to go. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch. Not too busy luckily and we're able to sit out on the patio. We order the Aperol spritz and margarita to drink and for the meal we tried the burger and sunshine sandwich. Margarita was just okay, tasted similar to a pre mixed margarita. Food hit the spot though! read more

We had a large party of 17 people and took up 1/2 the restaurant. Amber was our server and was amazing. Regrettably, we had one person in our group who was rude to the server over simple mistake. Good food, great staff free parking accessible inviting atmosphere. My wife and I each had one of their hash items for breakfast. They seem to use the same potato pepper base and then add your choice of a corn beef or barbecue brisket vegetarian etc. it served with homemade ketchup they've all the typical menu items for breakfast. They also do lunch and they do dinner. This spot has been a Mammoth tradition for years located on old Mammoth Road very easy to find if you're coming up from 395 the parking lot is after the restaurant not before. read more

The Warming Hut was an unexpected surprise while at Mammoth! Great service and food is what this place is serving up daily! This place gets busy so arrive early. If you need to wait you can chill at the bar in the front and watch a ball game. This place has you covered. It's also worth noting that Warming Hut can handle large groups. We were a party of 10! The food...it's a bit of everything on the menu. I opted for the daily special which was a pair of birria tacos with side of rice and beans. The flavor was solid and the amount of food for the price was perfect. Overall, it's definitely a place I'd recommend if you're looking for a great place to eat and unwind while visiting Mammoth. We at here two days ago for dinner and today at lunch. The food is reliably good. The service is excellent, particularly if you get our favorite waitress, Amber. The place has a rustic feel, a bar with drinks. It is also kid friendly. It has outdoor seating which is ideal when the weather is good. Parking is limited. My husband had the Fresco Pesto Chicken sandwich with a salad and their homemade Caesar dressing. I had the half cheesy sandwich and tomato basil soup. I don't think I've ever tasted as fresh a tomato basil soup. Food was excellent! The other night we had the Brussels spouts (a favorite) and the Reuben with fries and a salad. We were waiting at car while the guests that were waiting inside were coughing without even covering their mouth. I checked the web that they sent when i got into reservation! The ambiance was ok but they were too busy and understaffed. I asked for straws and she brought with bare hand and tossed in sticky table. The food was !!! For appetizers we ordered garlic parmesan fries and crispy Brussels sprouts. Garlic fries was too gross and we didnt eat! It seemed they made it long time ago! The taste was awful and the sprouts were burnt. We also ordered Asian stir fry with cilantro lime rice with steak and salmon! The stake was black we asked for well done not burnt one...The salmon was too small with no flavor and too dry. I was surprised and disappointed to see bones in my grill salmon as ive never had this happen before when ordering grillled salmon on my salad. The stir veggies were super messy and watery on top of rice...Overpriced for what we got. $18 for Asian Stir fry, $10 for dry small salmon, $12 for burnt steak, $10 garlic parmesan fries and $15 for burnt Brussels sprouts. The parking was hectic so if you stay close by its better to walk.. Also, we sat next to the window and the wind was coming inside from closed windows and it wasnt pleasant. read more

Service was awful. I asked for water 3 times. First at the initial food order. Second when the food was brought to the table and third about half way through the meal. Server finally brought the water when she brought the bill and I was finished. All other tables had a bottle of water on them. That was the only thing I wanted to drink, so I had nothing to drink with my meal. My husband received his tea right away. Not going back. read more

Top marks for this spot. Be careful there can be a nice wait depending on when you get there. But it's definitely worth it. Take your time and walk around a bit, you'll need to work off your food anyway. I got an order of chilaquiles with a side of toast and bacon. The chorizo and salsa was incredible. Super flavorful and spicy. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. I demolished everything. Parking is very tight in their lot and can definitely get full. Cute breakfast spot that's dog friendly with good but maybe not amazing comfort food. We wanted a spot we could grab some breakfast that would allow dogs and found this spot. We came on a Sunday at 9 and it was just starting to get busy. 4 groups ahead of us but we got sat within 15 minutes or so. Nice servers and they check in pretty regularly so that was nice. We got the chilaquiles, chicken and waffles, and a half order of the biscuits and gravy. The chilaquiles has a nice kick of spice to it. I added chorizo which added a lot of oil which made the chips soggier which was a bit of a bummer but otherwise a good dish. The chicken and waffles were similarly solid. The chicken was pretty typical, well fried, decent seasoning, not dry. The waffles were fluffy and soft and prety tasty. The biscuits and gravy were also...good. A chunky gravy with lots of sausage. The biscuit was dry which was a bit of a bummer. I liked the outdoor space, nice area and they had dog bowls with water so they are actually dog friendly. All in all, a solid breakfast spot with good comfort food. Not the best but a place I would come back to. read more

I ordered salmon with miso sauce, but it was not miso at all -- it was some kind of sour, completely different sauce. The fish was overcooked to the point of being dry and inedible. I had specifically asked to substitute the rice, but it was still served -- and there was a hair in it, which is absolutely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. The kids' burger was overcooked to the point of being dry like a cracker, and the fries looked and tasted like they were cooked in old, repeatedly used oil. This is unsafe and unacceptable, especially for children's food. The steak was ordered medium well, but was served well done -- completely overcooked. The chimichurri sauce was also misleading: instead of the classic green sauce, a red mixture was served that had nothing to do with it. The coleslaw was simply awful. Additionally, the staff showed no proper response -- we were not offered a replacement, a discount, or even a proper apology. This reflects a complete disregard for service standards and customer care. In its current state, this does not meet even basic restaurant standards. read more

I got an Epic IPA great flavor i sense a bit of orange / happy Joey took care of us today and was amazing!!! Burgers are large and tasty, they even have r8ce based GF buns. ***If you are thinking about dining here please read! Save your money! My family and I dined there a few days ago, and from start to finish, it was a disaster. I ordered the miso glazed salmon, which not only tasted terrible but didn't even arrive until 30 minutes after everyone else at the table had already been served. Thirty minutes! By the time my meal came out, my family had already finished eating. Keep in mind, this was at 5:00 PM--there was no line, and the restaurant was nearly empty. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of delay. I understand that salmon can take longer to prepare, but this was beyond unreasonable. The entire point of going out to eat is to enjoy a meal together--not to have everyone finish while one person is left sitting there waiting. That's the bare minimum expectation of a restaurant, and they completely failed at it. What made it even worse was the complete lack of acknowledgment. Our waiter said nothing about the delay. When the food finally did arrive, the waitress dropped the plate on the table, mumbled something about cooking time, and walked off without so much as an apology. No effort was made to fix the situation--no apology, no comped meal, not even a small gesture like offering dessert. We held off on complaining at first, expecting someone to recognize the mistake and make it right, but that never happened. This was beyond frustrating. The service was unacceptable, the food was mediocre at best, and the entire experience felt like a complete waste of money. This is completely unacceptable and absolutely needs to be brought to the attention of anyone considering dining here. read more

A solid 4 star experience! The food is delicious, the staff are great, the location is phenomenal! So close to the mountain, easy to get to if you're staying close by. I had the chicken and waffles and each portion was generous. The staff seem to have a good sense of team spirit, they were all helping each other out to make sure guests had a good experience. We got here for a late lunch. They seated us promptly and we requested a seat change out of the corner which they accommodated without issue. Once seated our server told us right away they were switching to Happy Hour Menu in 20 minutes to prep for dinner service so requested we place our order post haste. We were a group of 7 and had a variety of food items across the table. The food was pretty good all around. The rueben was spectacular. We were checked up on sufficiently and staff is great here. Looked at the other reviews and decided to try it out. We were greeted quickly with a smile. The fireplace was a nice touch. The menu looked amazing. So many choices. We decided on the Texas Bbq and tomato soup to share. Well the sandwich was so good we ordered another. Tender and so tasty! Nice soft bun. Perfection. The soup was incredible- again so much flavor. Finished it off with blueberry pie (server recommended) WOW. Perfect ending. The service was great too. Our server Rich was the best, friendly and in a great mood , he checked back often. My only complaint is the inconsistent fries. They have these homeade fries that are to die for. The homeade ketchup is also delicious. But in the slow times it seems that they switch out the good fries for frozen ones and they are not good. Pretty unfortunate that they seemingly punish the customers supporting them during the shoulder season. We will still come here as it really is good. We returned to this restaurant because we enjoyed our meal so much the day before. But I guess the waitress makes all the difference. This is the first time in my 70+ years that I have not left a tip. And I certainly was not embarrassed. They should've been embarrassed. After she took our order, somebody else brought our meal however it wasn't the same as the same meal we ordered two days before I asked for the correction and they ended up charging me three additional dollars for something that was included the last time we were there. But, I was most astonished that I was charged for jam. It wasn't even really jam. It was some sort of tablespoon of thin berry something or rather. Not only did I get charged a dollar (without telling me in advance ) for this that didn't arrive until the rest of my meal was consumed. But it wasn't even real jam.. I had two eggs, two pieces of bacon and two pieces of dry toast, no butter. This place just nickels and dimes you to death. I would never recommend it. Noisy inside and outside. read more

Don't waste your money!!! I paid $28 dollars for a very small chicken breast with the tiniest portion of mashed potatoes and asparagus. And that was the highlight of our experience. I paid $40 for my wife's cold prime rib dinner with cold mashed potatoes and cold sautéed vegetables. She told them it was cold and they were kind enough to microwave it so that the meat was only slightly overcooked while the vegetables and potatoes didn't quite make it to what I'd call lukewarm. My family and I were on vacation and we chose this restaurant as our first dining out experience in Mammoth. Terrible decision. After we sat down at our table where the host did not walk us to, we were greeted by our waiter, this was 1 of the 3 times she visited our table throughout our dining experience. While we waited 30 minutes for our food, we noticed an issue with the food runners/expos and their sanitation. We witnessed multiple food runners digging in their shirts/bra, itching IN their ear AND their hair, blowing ON hot food while carrying plates out to tables, and from our table we had a clear view of the expo line where the plates were set when ready to go. We saw employees taking fries off of plates and eating it as well as lifting up burger patties with their bare hands, wiping the residue on their shirts and continuing to deliver it to a table. To top off our experience, our waiter came to our table 3 times total. The last visit we had with her, she was fishing for a tip and stayed for 3 minutes on an attempt to chat it up with us after doing the bare minimum. Do not recommend dining here and I will not be returning. read more

The service did take a bit of time but after our food came the servers checked in on my table often. The menu had lots to offer including all the usual suspects even mocktails. This is a very cool cafe in Mammoth Lakes, nice mountain cafe vibe. The staff were very friendly, Joey was our server and was very attentive and friendly. My wife had the ABC grilled chicken sammie with sweet potato fries and loved both. I had the burger and fries and a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup. Burger was tasty and juicy. Star of the show were those fries! Best ever. Wasn't a big fan of the soup this time. All in all a great lunch and great vibe. Hope you'll give them a try. read more

My family & I stopped in for Happy Hour. Only the Happy Hour menu is available from 3 - 5 pm which was perfect for us. The restaurant has a rustic type feel. It was very warm & welcoming. Our waitress was very nice & helpful. They have a special Happy Hour menu which has a nice little variety. The prices were reasonable, especially for the area. We all enjoyed our food & we will definitely be back next time we visit the area. read more

What a cozy lil spot that we stumbled upon in Mammoth. I went in on a Sunday, prime time for breakfast, and the wait was 30ish minutes. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a lot of menu items ranging from soups to hash skillets. They offer something for everyone. They even have a huge portion of the menu as a 'DIY' section which I loved! I ended up ordering an egg white omelette with tomatoes and a side of a biscuit. My boyfriend got a chocolate chip banana pancake with the Traditional Skillet. I was quite disappointed in the biscuit, I've had better elsewhere. The pancake was airy and fluffy with a generous amount of chocolate chips and bananas. The maple syrup was some of the best I've ever had. This was a 10/10 and I wish we had more! The Traditional Skillet came with potatoes, eggs your way, and corned beef. My boyfriend really enjoyed this but I couldn't help but notice all the leftover potatoes. Was he just full or were the potatoes not that good? The corned beef was made in house and delicious. I would order a side of this next time! Overall, the menu is large and there are a lot of things you can try. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service is just enough to go back.
