Good Life? Definitely not. 1 Turkey Sandwich 1 hot chocolate 1 coffee 1 slice of apple pie Total was $34 When I picture a $17 dollar turkey sandwich in my mind, it includes more than the basic mayo, lettuce, tomato, turkey. Very disappointed.

We came here during our trip to Mammoth. We ordered breakfast (eggs with pancakes) and a French dip sandwich. Both were very good. The restaurant has plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors. Our server was also very nice and attentive.

Good mix of locals and tourists when we went to the Good Life Cafe. Ordered the Cobb Salad, Tuna Melt, and Chili Verde Omelette. The Cobb Salad for $19.95 was a decent size and was large enough to feed two. The tuna melt was pretty standard and came on large Texas toast sized slices of bread. The chili verse sauce was good, but the pork wasn't very flavorful and the hash browns were burnt. Overall the meal was decent and would be a place to go back to even though it was a little pricey.

Great customer service with nice delicious enjoyable food. Big portions of the food so make sure to ask how big your is, you may want to share. The inside place was clean and the patio was perfect to relax. Unfortunately no dogs.

    Chile Verde Breakfast Burrito

This was on my list to visit the last time I was in Mammoth and today, I had the opportunity. I've been to The Warming Hut & The Stove and I feel the Good Life is better than both of them. First off, they are located in the same shopping center as Harmony Brazilian BBQ. So on a weekend, parking is usually not an issue, unless you come on a long holiday weekend then all bets are off. Walked in on a Saturday around 12:30pm and it was pretty empty by this time. Got seated and decided to try the Chile verde breakfast burrito. Because this breakfast burrito came sauced up with Chile verde sauce and melted cheese on top, it added a new dimension to this classic breakfast item. My first bit blew me away. Man the verde sauce was really tasty and it's not too tart and was well balanced. My only issue was that the restaurant was so warm that after eating this, I started sweating so much that it kind of ruined my appetite. The sauce is spicy and will make your head sweat. But I still think it's tolerable. Overall, I think I will put this as my top choice for breakfast/lunch place. I think I will try their enchiladas next.

We met the owners, Charles and his wife (we didn't formally catch her name). If I'm not mistaken, she created the menus for the bowls, juices, and smoothies. Everything is organic and clearly thought out. The ones we tried were incredibly fresh and tasty, and the colors are just beautiful and vibrant. You can tell real care goes into every single thing they make. It's the kind of food that's hard to find even in LA unless you're paying Erewhon prices. This place inspired me to start making similar organic bowls at home regularly. We're heading back to Mammoth this week for a couple of nights and already planning to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're in town, don't miss it!

And a bit exorbitant. + Amusing interior decor. . Moderately crowded. + Staff are friendly and helpful, - but their attentiveness is hit-or-miss. The food is decent, it's never going to absolutely wow you but it will be sufficient and well priced. This time I tried their mac and cheese, it was cheesy and I liked the type of pasta noodle they used that allowed it to get extra crispy and crunchy with the spiral texture, however it was a little dry and on the blander side for mac! The ordering system is great and straightforward, you order and pay on your phone and then food appears straight to your table! Genius, convenient and perfect for groups as there's no splitting the bill awkwardly at the end. And the dog friendliness is so clutch, our pups always enjoy the sunshine and rest. Really great spot I would recommend in a sea of terrible touristy Mammoth dining establishments.

The drinks are expensive but always top shelf. The food has improved immensely over the last two years both in options and quality. Yes you have to find your own seat (we have had to give up and eat elsewhere on a couple of occasions). Yes you have to get your own water. You can order food and drinks from the cashier but we find it much easier and more convenient to order from our phones--thus avoiding the line, getting our food much quicker and able to leave when we want without trying to find a waiter. Yes the phone order system encourages a tip before you even see the efficiency of the service (I'm not a fan of this but the pluses far out way this negative). Other than a sushi bar, where else can you order items 6 times in a night and have each item brought out in 5-10 minutes--no cold food--no over crowded table--no ordering too much or too little. The app will even tell you when your drink or food is ready in case the server is late with the delivery (not a problem in our experiences). Their system is their system and if you don't like it, then shelter is not for you. There are plenty of sit down traditional table service options in mammoth but I recommend getting a reservation. The food: Excellent: artichoke dip, tempura shrimp (?not on menu anymore), beet salad (enough for 4 to share), burger, seared ahi (very large portion), poke tostada, pretzel; Very Good: Fish Taco, philly taco, sweet potato taco, shishito peppers; Fair: shrimp taco, ckn taco. Poor: volcano roll (too much rice and "fishy scallops), spicy tuna hand roll (consistency of the spicy tuna was mush). Drinks: our favs are the old fashioned, whiskey sour and the margarita we will be back, please don't change!

Like Taco Bell, you pay in advance. Unlike Taco Bell, you are expected to leave a tip (for service), before you realize you will receive no service. Choose your own seating, call up the QR code (which asks you to enter your phone number, but you can work around that) and then gives you a sterile list for a menu. It's a distillery, but do not talk to the bartender. Order a margarita from the (surprisingly inexpensive) Taco Tuesday menu and it comes with a hard, dried citrus something floating on top that adds nothing to the experience of the drink (but does eliminate the need for the bartender to keep a fresh supply of citrus on hand). Otherwise, the margarita tastes OK. Not great. Your beet salad will not be "dressed" because that would take effort. Instead the dressing will be drizzled across the top and not even really touch the greens. Your burger will probably be tasty, as my husband's was. Your sweet potato taco will probably have too many raw onions across the top but otherwise be tasty as mine was. You will not interact with anyone other than your table companions. Even with his tasty burger, my husband called it a "soulless experience." Because the food itself seems to be decently cooked (though with minimal effort), this may be your spot if you are good with Taco Bell.
