Tried to come here 3x, but it's always so packed! Luckily came in during lunch and was seated right away. Also when it's packed they do not do take out orders. Got the pho regular and khao soi regular. Their regular was huge at least 1.5 meal, so idk who the heck is ordering a large. Both were solid and had clean flavors! Surprisingly authentic pho! Nothing beats a hot bowl of noodles on a chilly night after a hard day of skiing. Menu is simple with a variety of phos and only boiled dumplings for appetizer. They have a wide selection of boba drinks available for take out. I've had to wait as long as an hour so plan ahead. They will take your cell phone number so you're not tethered to the waiting area. read more

The service is fast and the servings are big! You don't need the large pho to get a fair amount of food. Inside is always busy (in a good way) and lively. You shouldn't have to wait long for a table if you're a group of two. Definitely try #3 if you like spice, but a classic like #2 will never disappoint. read more

Was craving noodle soup after snowboarding, and this guy the spot! Luckily we arrived early enough to get a table right away, but there was a wait to be seated later in the evening. I had a boba tea and the khao soi, which was Lao style with rice noodles, and a tomato and pork broth. Interesting dish I had never tried before. Was craving some pho on our roadtrip and stopped through mammoth. Super happy to find this pho spot and a place that goes it well! It wasn't very busy when we came for lunch and got seated right away. Plenty of tables and parking which makes it easy. Server did a good job of answering our questions mainly about how spicy the spicy noodles are (not that bad he said) and he was right. This pho spot is so very, very busy. It's like they don't get any breaks! There's a waitlist, and the line never ends. Once you get seated, there's more people coming to wait in line fora table. We were stopping in mammoth lakes for the night on our way to tahoe and were in need of a good meal after a long drive. This was close to our hotel and looked yummy, while still being casual enough for a lively 18 month old who had been in a car all day. We got the pho with rare beef and Vietnamese kao soi. I also got a lychee milk tea with rose jelly. The phone tasted good initially, but finished super salty, the meat was very tender. The kao soi tasted more like an italian fusion dish that anything Asian. It did taste good but not what I was expecting based on the kao soi I've had. Something in it made my stomach a little touchy too. Maybe all the oil in it or just that it contains a good deal of garlic. The drink wasnt to sweet at all, but instead of rose jelly they gave me popping Boba. The workers were very nice, and the portions are large. I do wish when smoke from fire come son that they didnt leave the screens open. It was really hard to breathe for me, and I had to end my meal faster than I normally would have. read more

Might have to mess around and drive five and a half hours from LA just to take a large Pho with extra chili oil and side of chicken to the dome. Growing up in Seattle we had the supreme Pho spots. Every soccer practice in the winter would end with a horde of voracious young boys barreling into these establishments, specifically the Than Brothers Pho. The urban legend was that the Than brothers would inject their soups with Tylenol because they'd knock your ass out they were so hearty and healing. This is the first time since then I've had that sensation from a bowl of Pho. Nothing but the kindest and highest praise to the chefs and owners for amazing food and cool people working there. The chai boba was great too, but the silly straws they use split open twice, which led to me tearing the top off like a barbarian. read more

Honestly I'm very particular about my pho. I wasn't the biggest fan of my meal because the broth tasted more meaty than spiced. I was looking for the spiced aromatic taste of pho and got more of a ramen flavored broth. #5 The Noods on the other hand was DELICIOUS! My partner ordered this and I honestly wish I got that instead. Highly recommend that dish and will return just to order that for myself next time! Heads up: sometimes they get so busy that they stop allowing takeout orders. The nice lady on the phone said to call back later and maybe they'd reopen the takeout orders and they did! I came here on a busy snow season opening weekend, it was a 75 minute wait for the 4 of us at 6pm on a Friday night. I believe this is the only Pho spot in town that was recommended, so we toughed it out and waited. The service was super friendly regardless of how incredibly busy they were. We got our drinks and food orders quick, multiple servers walking around helping everyone. I understand the small menu to maintain speed and efficiency, but I wish they had more items like fried egg rolls or some other appetizers. I got the brisket Pho with everything and a Starry soda. I found nothing wrong with the food, I just prefer a richer flavor profile so the broth seemed more on the lighter bland side for me. Unfortunately, I'm incredibly picky with my pho. And of course I did not set my expectations high at all as I have yet to have really good food in Mammoth. I did give two stars because I was ultimately disappointed. However, there are a few positives I will definitely give this restaurant. We ordered takeout and they fill the broth when you get there so the noodles don't get too soggy! Not like other pho spots where they usually separate the noodles and soup but this I didn't mind as we didn't have a big kitchen in our cabin to cook the noodles. We ordered the #2. The noodles were great but the soup was very salty I really couldn't drink any of it. The sriracha packets were also watery but I don't know if the altitude affects that? Definitely wish it were less salty. read more

Great pho! Though veg options are few, they carry a lot of meat options. We ordered 3 regular and 1 kid bowl - Veggie with spinach noodles, braised beef, noodle chicken & chicken kid bowl. All tasted great. The sugar boba and infused sparkling water was also great! I ordered the khao soi and the noods. I didn't enjoy the khao soi as much, though I haven't had many versions of it, so that may just come down to personal preference. The noods were much better, with great BBQ pork and a really tasty OMG sauce. I did have to ask for extra sauce on the side since the bowl is very noodle-heavy and doesn't have any soup. I also felt like the dish could've been more balanced with more vegetables instead of mostly meat and noodles with a few garnishes. My friends ordered the pho with rare steak and the pho with braised beef, and they thought the broth was a bit on the saltier side, but overall still good. The restaurant was busy with about a 30-minute wait, which wasn't too bad, but the tables were very close together and felt cramped. The staff was helpful and attentive, which definitely improved the experience. My main reasons for the 3 star rating were the tight space and the khao soi, but everything else was solid. read more

What we got: - Pho with rare beef (7/10): for pho in mammoth this actually beat my expectations! My only complaint is that the broth is pretty salty. - Khao soi (7.5/10): they use rice noodles by default here and egg noodles are extra $3.50 which I feel is kind of crazy so I stuck with the rice noodles. - Black milk tea with boba: (4/10) I really didn't like the milk tea here it had a weird taste Plenty of parking and service is quick! Honestly I had low expectations for pho in the mountains, but this place proved me wrong! Their pho was authentic and flavorful, just very slightly on the salty side. Brisket was nice and tender, also a nice portion for the regular size bowl. We came at off hour around 4PM and got seated immediately, and the order came out so quick! Pretty casual place, nice to come have a warm bowl of pho after a cold mountain hike or skiing. It is on the pricey side for pho at $18-$20 a bowl, but for being in Mammoth it makes sense. After a long day on the mountain having some pho just feels right. Now if you are coming on a weekend there is a high possibility you will need to wait an hour or so to get seated and if you are coming closer to closing time there might not have the availability of the full menu. The service is friendly and once you place your order it comes out in less than 10 mins. The chicken noodles soup was hearty with plenty of chicken but the broth was light and flavorful adding some Thai basil and jalapeños adds some nice freshness to the pho. read more

Just a PSA: The noodle-ly chicken is not Pho. (Per the waitress).... And it sure wasn't. It doesn't come with the veggie plate (basil, lime sprouts) - had to order it separately. I can't rave enough about this place. Taylor, the owner, was so nice and welcoming even when they were about to close. She allowed us to sit and enjoy their food and omg it was nothing less than perfect. It was just what we needed to fuel ourselves after a day on the mountain. 25+ years ago, owners & residents, Pat & Taylor Kumlue met at Mammoth Warming Hut #2 & daughter, Makenna, was born 8 years later. Now, they've opened Noodle-Ly. I was captured by the distinct beauty and change of seasons." Taylor Kumlue, Owner and General Manager, Noodle-Ly Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Taylor was a tomboy who would try anything. The chimichurri sauce was also misleading: instead of the classic green sauce, a red mixture was served that had nothing to do with it. The coleslaw was simply awful. Additionally, the staff showed no proper response -- we were not offered a replacement, a discount, or even a proper apology. This reflects a complete disregard for service standards and customer care. In its current state, this does not meet even basic restaurant standards.
