Everyone loved the food and I the mild spice level was not too much for me (was worried about it due to the warning on the menu and glad it was ok). I've eaten here in the past and loved it. Decent food, large portions for a very good price. I stopped in this past Saturday and the waiter was a total dick! My grandson and I walked in and no one was there to greet us so we went to grab an empty table. Just then a guy came out of the kitchen, I ask, we can sit anywhere? He said, No!, go stand over there and wait for me! I should have left right then but my grandson was very hungry and I had bragged about how good the food was here. A+++++++++++++++++ This was one of the best Thai meals I've ever had. I've been to this restaurant before with mixed results, but something has clearly changed for the way way better. The tofu fries were very unique and quite tasty with the accompanying sweet and sour sauce. My extra spicy panang curry with tofu was a triumphant celebration of chili. My friend also enjoyed his extra spicy drunken noodles. I love how you don't have to pay extra for rice. The crowd was local and made for a pretty full house on a Saturday night, and service was polite and on time. Plenty of parking around the airport. read more

Terrible experience. The service was awful from start to finish. The food did not taste fresh, and the overall quality was very disappointing. The restaurant felt dirty and neglected, more like a shabby airport dump than a place anyone would want to eat. The waiter was rude, dismissive, and made the whole experience even worse. Serve and cook were extremely rude from start to finish! My order was completely wrong and when asked to correct the errors, either from the server not taking the order correctly or the cook not reading it correctly, it was like asking for a miracle. Excellent, one of the best Thai restaurants we've been to in California. The pork/taro roll was unusual and so delicious (see photo). Drunken noodle with seafood was outstanding as was the yellow curry. Reasonable prices. Great service. We'll be back. read more

I've been coming here for years. But the service is so poor and unprofessional that I'll never come back. We sat down at 7:30. The restaurant brought our food around 7:50. 15 minutes later a guy from the back came out and yelled in the dining room room we're closed. Everybody needs to make their way out now. There are a couple young college girls who had just gotten their food and asked to stay longer. He responded "I don't care what you want you can't stay here." We used to love this place and how they treated locals. This last visit was disappointing to say the least. Server was rude multiple times. 2 of the 3 dishes ordered were incorrect and we got blamed for it. We have eaten there before and know what we can and can't eat due to food allergies and was told that we need to let the chef know so they can see if they can accommodate us. Don't trust the menu that they give you because it may be an old copy and not describe the dish accurately and when you send the food back they will make sure you know how upset they are and that you are the one wrong. The sole option for dining at Bishop airport. It seemed a little random to have a Thai restaurant and only a Thai restaurant, but it was great! Somewhat limited hours (and not open everyday), but their lunch hours worked well for us and our flight. The entrance is separate (but next to) the main entrance for the airport. It filled up quick right after open on 11:30am on Monday. We got a table for our party of 4 and ordered a pad thai, a couple pad see ewes, and a yellow curry with rice. Everything was really tasty and the portions of the noodle dishes were huge. Each dish also came with a small cup of spicy soup (maybe tom yum?) and a crispy spring roll. We were happy with our meal, especially as we had a long travel day ahead. One thing that was a little confusing was that from inside the airport, we saw a Thai Thai menu posted (see pics) that was pretty extensive! When we were seated, we got a more limited menu that said lunch specials. I wasn't sure if the full menu was available but we just also got lunch specials, or if the specials are the only items available during lunch hours. My family and I have been here multiple times and it is one of our favorite restaurants in terms of food. However, the service has never been great and has recently gone down with new servers. I came here for dinner and the door was locked, while people were seated and waiting inside, and the restaurant was clearly open. My group and I, along with several other people, waited 15 minutes outside before the workers even opened the door for us (they looked our way multiple times before). The guy in front of us didn't receive his full order and the worker was rude. I understand that restaurants get busy but it is no reason to be rude. Food is great, servers are great, management continually nickels and dimes customers in a way that feels so disappointing. Take out containers are smaller, they charge for rice...I've never had to pay for rice with a curry dish ever. And all the signs that say what this restaurant won't do, can't do, what patrons are not allowed to do feels like such yucky energy. We ordered food over the phone for pickup and were told 20 mins. We came and ended up waiting over an hour for three dishes. The front staff was kind and apologetic, but we were all starving at this point. After going home to eat, we noticed that the dishes we ordered as mild were VERY spicy - inedible for the whole group. We couldn't eat it and had to resort to microwave food for dinner since it was late at this point. We called the restaurant for a refund and there was no response. So we came back 2 days after the incident to show proof and kindly ask for a refund. The owner Robert was EXTREMELY rude and mean to us. He would not hear us out and told us it was too late even though we had photos of everything. He yelled at us and said he would not do anything to remedy the fact that HE made a mistake with our order. What a waste of $40. Will not be coming back! Almost all of the 1 star reviews are complaining about long waits or bad service (which for the record, we didn't experience at all), and not the food. ROACH IN MY YELLOW CURRY I ordered a chicken yellow curry and pad thai by phone. After waiting for 45 minutes, I picked it up and happily brought it back home. We had the pad thai first which was really dry, but whatever, the place is in the middle of nowhere right? Well, halfway into our curry, low and behold a DEAD COCKROACH marinated in curry is smeared onto the chicken. Tried calling the restaurant and they wouldn't pick up. Tried 4 times. Let this be a warning to you all please. Look at all the negative AND HIDDEN REVIEWS. Definitely something fishy going on seeing that all the negative reviews are hidden. I should've known better. The owner, Robert Nash, has NUMEROUS negative reviews about him yelling at his customers after messing up their orders, just like how he yelled at me :) This guy PUBLICLY complains about his customers on his social media - SEE BELOW (likely to be removed after he sees this) Yes. A small hidden gem to eat at near the airport on your way back, to or from Mammoth. If you're driving here at night and it feels like a sketchy area, you're in the right place! Best thai you'll get in the area, that's for sure. As soon as you enter the restaurant, the amazing smell just welcomes you. I love at the entrance, they have thai flavored lay chips and dessert/drinks you can purchase. Thai Spicy Basil Fried Rice: It wasn't spicy at all, but it still tasted great. You could probably request to make it spicy since thai spicy can get really spicy. Wok Stir Fry: We got chicken and it was cooked nicely. The stir fry had the same flavor as the basil fried rice. You can't go wrong. We tried two salads and both were great. Panang curry, pad see ew, pho, thai tea, all tasted good and what you'd expect it to taste like. You'll be pleasantly surprised and the servers are really nice. Parking is really easy and spacious. I definitely recommend stopping by here! read more

Do you really think a Thai food restaurant at the airport in Bishop will deliver great Thai food? It's not bad food but it's not memorable Thai food at all. My guess is that compared to a lot of the other offerings in Bishop, it offers a unique taste in an uncomfortable environment, and so is novel locally. And that's ok. Just don't expect much and it will be fine. read more

Thai Thai is my favorite restaurant in Bishop when it comes to food, which makes this experience especially disappointing. We arrived on Saturday at 5:15 to find the front door locked, with a line of people outside waiting to pick up orders or ask about dining in. Employees looked at us multiple times, but no one addressed the line, and we waited about 15 minutes in the cold. The customer in front of us was picking up his order and realized it was incomplete. The waiter responded rudely, though he did offer to check with the kitchen about remaking it. He then commented that there was a large $750 order that needed to be prioritized, making it seem like the customer's smaller order didn't matter as much. I don't understand why the size of an order should affect the level of service. When I asked about the wait time for a table, I was told that they didn't know but just to put our name and number down. I understand being busy, but not giving even an estimated wait time is frustrating. We ended up leaving after waiting an hour, and I never did receive any call about an open table or not even being able to seat us that night. I really love the food here, but the service and overall professionalism have gone downhill, which is unfortunate. read more

I was surprised to see a Thai spot at a small airport, and was pretty excited to check it out after seeing the positive reviews. I ordered the pad kee mow lunch special but for some reason, I received a dinner entree (huge plate). Everyone else in the restaurant appeared to have received a lunch plate but I didn't really mind, so I didn't feel the need to complain. Anyhow, the noodles were cooked okay but my dish was really really spicy. And trust me, I can handle the heat. I wasn't too hungry and avoid complaining/sending food back, so I just ate what I could before my flight took off. My experience wasn't all that bad (despite my meal) until i was a few steps away from the as I was leaving the restaurant. I don't want to say anything too negative, but all I will say is that the manager/owner made me feel really uncomfortable. read more

He yelled at us and THREATENED TO CALL 911 to kick us out of the restaurant.. again this isn't the first time the owner had done this. An hour and 20 minutes later after standing there waiting and asking for updates several times, we learned our food had not even been started. The servers were super disorganized and frenetic and blamed the kitchen staff and each other. It was unprofessional and chaotic. We ended up being refunded and without food. Very unexpected Thai joint next to the airport. It's off the beaten path from the main road in Bishop. We arrived around 6:30pm and were the only group there. Our group had a family style meal with Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Drunken Noodles, Shrimp Tom Kha, and Pork Massaman Curry. Overall the food was good for the area. The chicken and beef in both noodle dishes were slightly overcooked, but I enjoyed how both noodle dishes were cooked. The pork was tender. Massaman was on the sweeter end. read more
