Gluten free pizza with eggplant, tofu, spinach, and vegan cheese.
    Erin H.

Very cute, family pizza joint vibes. The main reason this place gets 5 stars is customer service. Our server was super nice. We ordered a gluten free pizza with eggplant as a topping, not knowing the eggplant is fried in wheat flour. When it arrived and I asked, the server said they use the same eggplant that's used in their eggplant pasta dish (which isn't clear on the menu.) when she learned I'm gluten free, she offered unprompted to Make a second pizza free of charge with olives in place of the eggplant. We kept the original pizza as my partner had taken a slice before I realized. They made sure the pizza came out quick so I could eat at the same time as my partner. Wow! So so nice of them, was really above and beyond. The pizza itself was great! Love that they have a vegan protein option (tofu), which tasted similar to a traditional sausage. They weren't skimpy on the cheese or other toppings, and the crust was nice and crispy. We will definitely be back. Thank you to our amazing server! Also, it gets busy so come early if you don't want to wait (though it does have a ton of seating on the inside).

Came by here after hiking rainbow falls, and did not disappoint! Food and service was top notch! My group ordered a ginormous pizza and some boneless wings, pretty much fed a party of 6 hungry people. The go-to dish here has definitely got to be the pizza. Boneless wings were okay for what it was. Cheese and bread on the pizza tasted freshly made. Would come here again for some carb load after a long hike.

this place was busy but there was self-seating in the bar/lounge in addition to restaurant seating where you wait for a host to sit you. we ordered the: - cheesy bread ($9.95): pretty average, generous amounts of stretchy cheese - pad thai chicken pizza (medium, $24.95): I didn't think the peanut sauce was prominent at all (or maybe just very unevenly distributed), which made the pizza not really taste like pad thai. having some nuts would have added a nice crunch! - bbq chicken pizza (medium, $24.95): this was pretty good, the bbq sauce was more on the sweet side than smoky side

Service was really good. Was able to get a seat after 10 min wait and they were busy with tons of to go orders and patrons. The ambiance is ok - feels like it could be cleaner. I don't recommend the pesto pasta and shrimp scampi. The meatballs were really good. The cheesey bread was good. We loved the wings. We didn't order any pizza but that is clearly popular there. The drinks are priced really well.

Medium size pizza with vegan cheese and spicy tofu topping. Tastes like Italian ground sausage.

Vegan cheese and vegan Italian ground sausage (spicy tofu)! Woo! My pizza was amazing. Definitely will return.

We visited as a family of four and made reservations ahead of time after hearing so many great things--and we felt incredibly fortunate to secure a Sunday booking, especially since they're closed Monday through Wednesday. It ended up being the perfect way to begin our time in Mammoth. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and efficient without ever feeling rushed. And the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish reflected the expertise and care of a master chef with decades of experience in Norwegian cuisine. What truly elevated the evening was the personal touch--the chef graciously visited our table to greet us and ensure everything was to our liking. That kind of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated. We ordered three appetizers, a soup, three entrées, and finished with crème brûlée for dessert--and every single item was flawless. An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Five stars--well deserved. Thank you for an unforgettable meal.

The open kitchen adds a level of sophistication and elegance that made us very excited for the meal. Our server was very friendly, personable, attentive and helpful with recommendations. Unfortunately, ambiance and service proved to be the two best attributes of this restaurant. We started the meal with the Hamachi Crudo, which was well constructed, but something was unpleasantly fishy on the plate... not sure if it was the roe, the scallops, or the fish itself. The Little Gems salad had a nice flavorful Danish blue cheese, but the lettuce looked like it was washed, cut and prepped the day before (rotten sections where it had been chopped). The beets were totally bland and unseasoned, like they were just boiled, cooled, cubed and thrown on the plate. For a fine dining restaurant, you would hope that every component on its own would be individually seasoned. The mushroom soup was very flat tasting, and the texture of the puck of mushrooms in the bottom of the bowl that had hot broth poured table side was not enjoyable to eat at all. They tasted like gross, chewy reconstituted dried mushrooms... very unpleasant. For our mains, we ordered the Scallops and the Steak. The scallops were undercooked. My wife had a hard time finishing them. We weren't concerned about health risks considering how upscale this place was, but texturally you want a seared scallop to have a nice bouncy texture when you bite into it. These were very soft. On a positive note, the sauce was flavorful though. I am assuming my steak was cooked sous vide because it was insanely soft (almost mushy) and cooled down about 2 minutes after being brought to the table. There was no texture to it at all, and it had an odd warmed over flavor, like it was maybe cooked far in advance and then seared to order. The sides of potatoes and vegetables were more delicious to be honest. Overall, while I cannot fault the setting, ambiance and service, the food fell extremely short. Especially for the $300 we spent after tip.

We were very hesitant to try the Asian sticky ribs but it actually ended up being really good. I can't remember what the vegetable dish (4th pic) was called but it was also very good if you got a bite with everything in it. It had sweet potato, beet, candied walnuts and pomegranate seeds! We also ordered some drinks. The curry drink (forgot the name) was surprisingly good despite the odd list of ingredients that went in. Their local black cherry soda was also very nice. We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth. For a dinner that totaled over $300 for two people, we expected a much higher level of quality and creativity. Compared to our previous visits, the food felt like it had gone noticeably downhill. We tried to snag a late New Year's Eve reservation and struck out, but the staff was super accommodating and fit us in on a following night. Very glad they did. The space itself is small, cozy, and intimate in the best way. It feels warm and inviting, especially after a long day in the cold, and sets the tone for a relaxed, linger-over-wine kind of dinner. The food was excellent across the board. We ordered elk, cod, and scallops and the scallops were the clear mic drop. Perfectly cooked, rich, and memorable. Our server recommended a bottle of wine that paired beautifully with everything and felt like someone actually listened instead of just pointing at the most expensive option. Service all around was warm, attentive, and unpretentious, which is not always a given in resort towns. Dessert was sorbet, simple but refreshing, and my girlfriend ordered a port she really enjoyed. After dinner we took the rest of the wine, grabbed a seat by the fireplace, and played chess, which felt like the most civilized way possible to end a night in the snow. Logistics wise, getting here can be a little annoying, especially if you are staying up at Mammoth Mountain Inn. You will want to call a taxi and plan ahead. That said, the extra effort was completely worth it. This is easily one of the best restaurants in Mammoth and the kind of place that makes you forget about the drive once the first plate hits the table.
