A dinner at Mammoth Tavern is a must when visiting. It's practically a family tradition at this point. We come for the fondue, drinks and views. My personal favorite cocktail is the Butterfly Kiss featured in this review and the food it's always delicious. I have yet to see this restaurant without a wait or busy, but all of that is worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're in the area and would like a delicious meal and love a great ambiance, come to Mammoth Tavern.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The service was okay, the food took a little longer than expected and the drinks got forgotten, or left at the bar for long periods of time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lighting was very calming, had a very warm cozy vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Cesar salad with the add on of shrimp was so refreshing. The fondue was delicious was a perfect appetizer for a party of 4 probably 6 max. Rounding it up the chocolate mousse was ok reminded me of chocolate pudding from elementary school, the key lime pie was to die for it was truly the reason to go back it hit the spot 10/10! Overall I give this place a 7/10

Came here for after dinner drinks since the bowling alley was closed for a private event. The Christmas decor inside was so cute and and festive which I loved. The server we had at the bar was great as well. They had a lot of interesting cocktails and pretty much a drink for anyone. I got a gin drink that had banana flavoring which I wish was more intense but wasn't bad. My bf for a bourbon drink that had a nice sweet finish. We also ordered the salted caramel ice cream which was good. Would def come back :)

The French onion soup is a must! This place is a gem, it get really busy on the weekends so I recommend making a reservation. They have the best staff, very attentive and friendly. I got the chicken sandwich, super good. And they have an excellent beer selection. We will be back!

Went with friends for dinner and we've been many times and loved it. Last night was no exception except our appetizer took longer to arrive and food was a little cold. (4) Not sure what the issue was but the food was still tasty but I would have preferred it hot. Love my favorite drink which is not on the menu, butterfly kiss. So pretty and tasty. Many tvs around to catch all sports and a full bar will keep you happy! Happy hour menu is great (4:30-5:30) and includes food from the full menu. Great deal! Enjoy!!

AWESOME food! We went twice in one week and between the five of us we tried almost everything on the menu: oysters, ribs, spinach dip, pretzel, onion soup, burger, chicken sandwich, wrap, Cesar salad, macaroni and cheese, etc. Everything was absolutely delicious! Service was solid--we enjoyed our waiter Jesse and wish I could remember our female server's name, as she was excellent as well. She was helping with hostess duties too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only downside is the restaurant is far too small to accommodate how popular they are.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They don't accept reservations so we waited more than an hour on a Friday night. Ugh. And unlike other places, they don't text when your table is ready--you must wait in the vicinity and be there when they call your name. Bummer. We will definitely return but will try to avoid a weekend night.

Ravioli Bolognese: The standout dish. Rich, meaty, satisfying, and exactly the kind of homemade pasta dish that makes this place worth visiting. Pepperoni Pizza: Excellent crust, good char, and crispy pepperoni cups. Simple and really well executed. This is genuinely good pizza, not just good pizza for a mountain town. Caesar: One of the more unusual Caesars I've had. It arrived with essentially whole heads of lettuce, celery, and a homemade crunchy component that reminded us of a savory funnel cake. The homemade dressing was excellent. Different, fun to share, and memorable. Pasta: This is where Vulcania really shines. Everything tastes homemade, and I'd be comfortable ordering just about any pasta on the menu. Chicken Parmesan: Pretty good overall, with a creamy, rich sauce over the top. It was a little too heavy for me, but everyone else at the table loved it. Meatball: I would skip this dish. The meatball was undercooked and felt like it was lacking a binding ingredient. One thing worth knowing is that the kitchen isn't particularly flexible about modifying dishes. That makes sense for a chef-driven restaurant, but it's worth considering if you have picky eaters or prefer lots of substitutions. Overall, Vulcania is still the best pizza and pasta we've had in Mammoth. The handmade pasta is the real draw, the pizza is excellent, and dishes like the Caesar give the menu enough personality to make it more interesting than standard Italian-American food.

I called and inquired about a few things and when we arrived, we were told a different story. Long story short, use OpenTable to make your reservations and avoid the headache. Outside Pods- If you're interested in sitting in the pods outside, it's an additional $50-100 (depending on the day) and can fit 6-8 people. We had several kids in our party and they enjoyed the novelty of it. Our waiter Cam was great and made up for the poor service with the host. He had great recommendations as all were spot on. Cam recommended "family style" as many of the entrees are large and it gives you a chance to sample everything. We started with the asparagus summer rolls and tricolore salad. Both were delicious and refreshing. For the entrees we shared the cacio e pepe, margherita pizza, orechiette nero and chicken parmesan. Again, everything was excellent. For dessert, the gelato comes with three huge scoops along with three zeppoles (Italian donuts). The food was excellent and probably one of my new favorites in Mammoth.

No other business does this on Reddit. First, service is very slow and pretty haughty. I had to wait 30 minutes for a simple pesto chicken crepe. It tasted disgusting. I got the apple dessert crepe. It was full of little cubes of raw apple that just fell out of the crepe. There was barely any cinnamon or sugar in it. I also got the pesto crepe. There was a splash of pesto and a couple little pieces of chicken. 90% of the crepe is the bread or galette or whatever. The rest (which isn't much) is just thrown in there. At $16 each, this was a complete ripoff, even worse than the usual Mammoth ripoff. The ambiance is pretty good though and they have a nice wine bar area. I could see this place being good for breakfast, but it's not worth spending any more of my money there.
