Our first impression was the friendly phone call we made to check if they had a patio and if they were pet-friendly--and guess what? They said, "Yes!" Whoop! When we walked in, we were quickly directed to the patio, just as we had requested. Our server, Ben, was so pleasant and had a great sense of humor. We started with some fried pickles , which were yum, and onions rings that were excellent, thin, fried, and crispy, of course! We had to try the garlic bread , which was tasty and toasty and a must-try appetizer. John Pizza was definitely a must, so we ordered a couple of pizzas to share. The crust was delicious and perfectly balanced with the toppings, and the cheese was just right, not too much. I highly suggest it as well. The ambiance was great, with a clean patio that had plenty of space. The music playlist was the perfect fit for the atmosphere. Thank you, Ben and Kai , for such a welcoming experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Our order was almost 2 hours late from the time of order, and we were repeatedly told, "10 more minutes," then "5 more minutes," then "it's coming out now," only for nothing to happen. What made the experience worse was the lack of honesty and customer service. We were told the oven was broken, yet pizzas were continuously coming out for other customers. Later, we were told the order had already been printed, only to find out our pizza hadn't even been started nearly two hours after we placed the order. The gentleman who appeared to be in charge came out with a dismissive attitude and wasn't apologetic at all. Instead of acknowledging the delay or offering a sincere apology, he simply said, "It's not anyone's fault." Do you want a refund? A little honesty and common courtesy would have gone a long way. If there was a problem, just be upfront about it instead of giving repeated excuses and inaccurate wait times. Unfortunately, the poor communication and lack of accountability made this a very frustrating experience. I hope management takes customer service more seriously in the future. read more

We have been here numerous times even eating here earlier this week. This place WAS a family favorite! Today's experience was something else and will cause us to never return! When we ordered were quoted 25 minute wait time. We sat and waited. It was busy so we didn't think anything of it as the 25 minute mark came and went and understood that they quoted us too short. Then at the 50 minute mark we when to inquire only to find out our order was never ticketed or called and placed directly in the hot case. No one at the counter knew this happened as they had to scramble to find our pizzas. Hector the Manager on Duty has no care or concern that we waited almost an hour while our order sat in the heat case. He did not apologize and said there was nothing he could do. Both cashiers just stood there stunned and continued to play on their phones the whole time we were sitting in the waiting area, the only ones in the waiting room. We also had to tell Hector that we had a salad that he had to find. Moral of the story - avoid this place if busy, they can't keep track of orders. I'll miss that Pesto Pizza! read more

Overpriced with multiple add on fees. If you use cash they round up and if you use card you have a surcharge fee. I paid $28.95 for a medium build your own pizza with pepperoni and pineapple. I'd compare the pizza to a frozen section pizza found at your local grocery store. I will be making my own pizza when I visit Mammoth. Besides the food, the restaraunt itself was extremely clean and organized and it's connected to a busy and lively saloon. The gentleman at the front register was very welcoming and informative which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I am a pizza snob so that's why I am grading harshly the pizza. The restaurant itself is nice. Good god almightyyyyy! Jess gives the best service west of the mississippi and it's NO CONTEST. The food-phenomenal. The prices- unbelievable. But the damn SERVICE is why I'm gonna be returning. This restaurant displays different prices online and then charges you more when you place an order over the phone. When we spoke with the manager, he blamed the third-party company where the prices were posted. To me, this raises concerns about potential weights and measures violations. I also ordered a large premium pizza with pepperoni on only half of it. The girl at the register charged me an additional $5 for the pepperoni. Shouldn't I pay less when requesting a topping on only half of the pizza, or at the very least, not be charged the full $5 for an additional topping? The total came to over $40 for a large pizza. There are clearly some questionable pricing practices here, and the restaurant really needs to review and clarify its pricing. Customers should be able to see consistent, transparent prices and know exactly what they will be charged before placing an order. read more

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We ordered through the counter service and self seating. Their pizza, shrimp pasta, chili, and kids pasta were great. They are pricey, though I suppose everything is in this town. Wr also ordered takeout another night and they were prompt and got the order faster than promised. read more

We were craving pizza and this was conveniently across the street from our hotel. We opted for the medium sized build your own pizza and it was perfect for 2 people. There's a small arcade corner and lots of tv's so perfect for families! read more

After a long day of driving, we were hungry. We came here for dinner. Was it because it was dinner time, because it was Sunday, or because there's many people vacationing? Idk. Whatever the case may be, it took ages for everything: for host to greet us, to seat us, to take our order and to get our food. My food came out first (the lasagna), but my husband's and son's 12" pizza took like an extra 10-15 min longer to arrive. I didn't want to eat until they had their food too. The food was mediocre. We were hungry, we ate it, but there was nothing exceptional about it. The inside was fine, your typical pizza pub. It was cramped. I wouldn't return, but to each their own. read more

This pizza place is so good not sure how this doesn't have more positive reviews! I can't wait to come back with more people. We tried the supreme pizza and it came out pretty quickly. I liked absolutely everything about the pizza. Keep in mind that the smallest 9 pizza is not a great deal compared to the 12, but most pizza places get cheaper as you increase in size. I truly hope the real Owner and or Manager sees this review. I was appalled today after how I saw a supposed manager/owner treat a family (yes with their children present) I was in close proximity to this family and I overheard everything that happened from beginning to end. The young lady server (who later stated she was the manager/owner of the restaurant) was not attending to this family, I heard them ask for several items and I saw they waited long periods of time and ultimately didn't even receive what they had asked for, when they brought it to the young lady's attention she very loudly and rudely told them that they were under staffed that day. That is no excuse to treat your patrons with such disrespect. After all the disappointments the same server/owner/manager of the restaurant added what she said was a mandatory large tip for the family of 5, that's when I'm assuming the mom asked to speak with the manager and thats when the same young lady server/manger/owner showed up and yelled at them again. The woman stated she did not deserve such a large tip and the server/owner/manager went back towards the register and very loudly told everyone that the woman said she did not deserve a tip, that's not what she said she stated that the service was not worth such a large tip, she never said she was not going to leave one. The server/owner/manager comes back with change and she very Loudly and Rudely tells the family to NEVER COME BACK!. A real owner or manager should never ever treat a patron like this. I was so embarrassed for that family. I will never ever give a place that allows this kind of treatment my business. There were better more professional ways to handle this situation. It's not the families fault that they were under staffed. I highly suggest another family pizza place that knows how to treat a family especially in front of children. Shame on you server/owner/manager shame shame on you! read more

FYI: this place is a godsend for how late they serve food (kitchen close at 10pm) compared to other nearby gastropubs/bars. They don't just serve pizza, we actually got everything other than pizza on the menu LOL. Everything was in GENEROUS portions, but seriously were all great options! The dough was undercooked and the overall flavor profile was extremely generic, but I guess not much to complain about considering it was close by. Not sure why it's so overpriced here. Stop by after an overnight backpacking trip. I will say their pizza is good, the beer was cold. The service was mediocre, staff were not friendly, seemed like if you were not local then you get a different type of customer service. The place has good seating outside and inside.
