Not a huge fan of leaving these types of reviews but want to be helpful to others. Long story short 2 adults, 4 children. 2 burgers, fish and chips, kids hot dog and a side of fries. Burgers were nothing special, mediocre is the word best fitted. Fish and Chips basket was 26 dollars and was 2 pieces of no better than okay fish. Fries were the biggest let down. When all else fails kids can typically fill up on fries. They were tough, I would describe them as stale, which is something I have never called fries before. The 2nd star is only on account of the house made root beer which was delicious. I would save my money for another spot if I was you. read more

I had high hopes after seeing the rave reviews. If you're there just for drinks, you can order at the counter and hangout in the outdoor seating area. It's also dog friendly. If you plan on eating, head inside and wait to be seated. Once you're seated you can order from the QR code on the menu or order from the counter and tell them your table number. The menu was super sticky and dirty and I don't like when I have to tip before receiving service which is the only option when you order from the QR code unless you want to leave cash at the end. The flatbread pizza was pretty bad. My kiddos only took a couple of bites. I tried it and the bread was pretty tough. The quinoa falafel bowl was just ok. The salad portion was refreshing but the falafels were super dry. Loved the food. We were eyeing this spot since a few days. It has cute lights and outside patio and always seemed full so we thought either food must be good or just the location. Let's go FAFO . Stopped here 2 weeks ago, when I did a solo road trip. After roaming around mammoth lakes, I saw mammoth brewery so I had to stop by for drinks and food. Sat outside which was nice. Outside qas quite spacious. The only thing I didnt like what that, you had to order everything through QR code. It has a beautiful outdoor picnic table area with plenty of seating. It was a little too chilly that night so we elected to sit inside at the bar. There is a large gift shop and various areas. A grab and go drink cooler. We had two bartenders helping us. One was Lucy and the other a young man. Both were very attentive. My husband ordered the beer tasting flight of all MBC Originals. 7 x 3oz pour ......$15. He thought it was good. I don't drink beer but they had their root beer as one of the samples and it was very tasty. I ordered the house cab and it was good. We both ordered the Damn Good Burger medium temp. $17. prime beef, smoked gouda, chipotle aioli, organic baby kale, arugula, brioche bun I'm a burger snob. I'm picky about my burgers. They need to be cooked to the requested temperature and must be juicy. I felt the burgers were cooked perfectly and all the flavors of the toppings worked well together. Juicy, flavorful. Absolutely delicious. The waffle fries were okay. They were not crispy like you would want waffle fries. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will be back next year. read more

This is a great spot to get something to eat after a long hike. I had the burger and side of fries which were really good. The house made root beer goes well with it. It's a large space and gets full really fast but there is plenty of seating inside and out. OMG the food here was good! I walked in around 3:30pm after an entire day of XC skiing and was pretty hungry and thirsty. I asked for a Mammoth Kolsch but the keg kicked so waited a few minutes while the bartender went to change it. Bartender was great, got me a pint of the first pull with minimal head as I watched him make my pour. Thank you bartender! Head always sucks IMHO lol...and the Kolsch was nice and crisp, just the way I like it! I worked hard today and for some reason the thing calling my attention on the menu today was the short rib. That isnt the first thing on the menu I usually look for but probably working my body hard made me want some protein. The short rib was so good, very tender, so well cooked and the BBQ demi glace hit the spot. It also came with arugula garnish, which is my favorite green and went very well with the short rib. Potato gratin was yummy and the onion rings perfect! I ate to my hearts content, soooo good! Large portion size so I have leftovers for another meal. Service was good, host at the front was super cheery and friendly. Lots of merch for sale here. Many of the beers also in cans for takeaway too. Also ample parking, and there is also an area to sit outside too. I chose to sit inside as I was outside all day already and got more than my daily Vit D dose! Stopped here after seeing the sign that there was going to be a band, but it's actually a DJ, not a big deal. The major issue I had was the ordering. Is phone that requires you to pay with tip when ordering. When did a tip stop being for service? How do you give someone a tip for service before they provide the service? Unfortunately, I've seen this at other places too, just over how ridiculous tipping has become and will avoid these places in the future. Sorry for the rant. Anyway, I was giving 3 stars initially and then the food came out. Both my buddy and I got the hot chicken sandwich, which I had here over a year ago and was good. This time it was over cooked and dry. So dry it was hard to swallow even with slaw in it. The waffle fries were stale, and both the sandwiches and fries were room temperature even though it came out within minutes of ordering. I appreciate fast food delivery, but this seemed like a it was just reheated. We stopped in after a day hiking and wanted a few drinks at 5pm. Temps were great so we elected outside. First mistake. Parents treat the outdoor table area as a playground for their kids. This is a brewery not a play scape. The staff did nothing, thankfully other patrons did. Next the menu on the table does not match the menu from QR code. Went in to order to verify the ingredients, both Managers on duty could not tell us and said it will be good no matter. Well unless you hate onions and version has onions and one doesn't. I had the burger, and give it a 5.5 and that is being nice. The fries are trying to replicate Chick-Fil-A. At least the beer was decent. Beer - Lair of the Bear! Smooth , sweet and balanced. Could not taste the alcohol, but long time drinker like me cant be trusted. Food- burger that is hefty and flavorful; which compliments the Hair of the Bear. I want to like the waffle fries, but needed a little bit more crunch. Pricing - resort town prices. Although I regret trying the beer myself, those in my party seemed to enjoy it. We came as a large party so we waited well over an hr and 1/2 for a table that we frankly made ourselves in the bar. We never made it to the main dining area. For a Tuesday night at 6pm in mid Jan, we were surprised by how busy the restaurant was. We ordered a variety of items (not all pictured) and everyone seemed to like their meal. The cheesesteak sandwich was delicious and the fish had a nice outside crunch with the flaky inside. The sweet potato tater tots were also good. My fellow diners, (even the one who ordered the double), commented on how much they enjoyed the burger. If you wanted to take some Mammoth Brew home with you, the restaurant also features a store with clothing and beer but apparently they ran out of root beer which was disappointing as it was one of the reasons we visited. As it was cold outside we appreciated the waiting area/bar in the basement where they had a few extra tables, a shuffleboard and a pool table to help past the time. This was a nice brewery to go to while in Mammoth Lake area. My husband and I took a last minute day road trip to Mammoth Lake. I know, really random but we saw this reel about Juniper Loop. We checked it out and it was quick then ended up at Mammoth Lake for a few nice trails. Afterwards, we were a little hungry. The service was quick. We walked in and sat right away. We ordered from this code and ordered drinks at the bar. My husband ordered the food through the code. We shared the queso dip and their bánh mi (Vietnamese sandwich). Prior, we had some meat pies in Juniper Lake which was delicious. The drinks at the bar - my husband got a flight of beer. Worth the price versus a glass of beer in our opinion. I visited Mammoth Brewing, and it was a not the best first-time experience. The atmosphere is undeniably fun. It has ample seating and is a two-story building. The food and drinks were both good. I don't like scanning the code to order on the phone. For refills, you have to get up and walk over to get a refill. That was a new experience for me. This is something to consider if you have young children. The food took more time than we expected. Some food items didn't arrive, which made it difficult when you have teenagers who are hangry at this point. Overall, it was just okay. This was a subpar first experience. read more

I have been Mammoth Lakes before but I had never been to Mammoth Brewing Company. I have enjoyed some of their IPS but from Total Wine and More. Today I walked with my dog to check out the place. We arrived when they opened at 10 am. I'm a IPA drinker but I do love a great pale ale. My eyes cought the attention of the Yosemite Pale Ale. I asked the person behind the bar for a pint of the pale ale. It was delicious. I ordered one more pint and had them fill my growler up with the pale ale. I also bought shirts and a handkerchief for my dog. On my next visit I will have to try some of their food because, from what the people on the patio ordered, it looked good. read more

It has notes of chocolate and coffee but wasn't sweet or overpowering at all! Smooth. Succulent sipper - easy go down seltzer. Doesn't even taste like alcohol. Similar to cactus cooler. And only six bucks! Damn good burger (with added egg and side of waffle fries) - cooked perfectly, generous portion considering he didn't get a double patty. Plenty of fries for the side. Brioche bun for the win. Really makes a difference! Pickles on the side. Nashville hot tenders - again, portion was very generous! As I kept eating, there were more and more buried underneath lol. Not as spicy as I imagined but still enjoyable. You can ask for the Nashville rub on the side. It's good to add on the fries or onion rings for extra seasoning! Onion rings - the batter was so crispy but light and onions were not cut too thin or thick. They really perfected this. Definitely shareable but I ate half with my tenders and took the rest back home. It's served with various sauces and they're all so good!! We love variety. Overall, a chill and reliable spot. A very unique experience. First of all, if you sit outside, you place your order online through your phone -- very modern, and honestly I think it's a smart way to lighten the load for the staff. That said, the prices feel a bit high for a place where you seat yourself, place your own order without staff interaction, and pay upfront (I'll never understand how I'm supposed to leave a tip for service that hasn't even been provided yet). As for the food: the pizza was on the small side -- definitely not enough to fill up a hungry guy on its own. But to be fair, it was delicious, no doubt about that. Now, the beer? Absolutely amazing -- truly some of the best I've had in the state. That alone makes this spot worth checking out. Also, my friend and i ordered at the same table but separately 2 minutes apart and our flatbreads came 15 minutes apart. Came here 2 nights. I was really disappointed. After a long day of hiking, I was craving a nice, big veggie burger. I was so excited to see the veggie burger on the menu (the only reason we came here). We ordered inside. Veggie burger and fries. When my food came out... fries were cold (like really cold) and the veggie burger was burnt (like really charred burnt). Completely inedible. A waitress took it back to the kitchen to have it remade. The next veggie burger was a different burger. Not the one I ordered. So then she took it back for a second time to have it remade correctly. When it came back correct, it was definitely underwhelming and disappointing. My friend ordered the regular hamburger and could barely eat half of it because it was so awful. This may be a bit of a hot take, but the best thing about Mammoth Brewing is their food. Those people over at the Eatery are serving some serious food. Their Bahn Mi Sandwich was making my mouth water and their "It's not a Philly cheesesteak" sandwich was above average. Maybe it is me and craft beers aren't really my jam anymore, but none of their seasonal brews stood out to me. But their food definitely did! This place can get quite busy, so go early or late if it's a weekend. Our beertender was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Stopped by for their tasting flight and some food on a Memorial long weekend. The beer selection was hit or miss - enjoyed their lighter options but the IPAs weren't for us. Food Quality Food-wise, it's standard bar fare but nothing special. The Damn Good Burger was average, and the Beef Short Rib tacos were disappointing with wilted cilantro and overly salty, bland meat. The Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza suffered from the same issue - too much salt, not enough flavor. Service Experience Service was solid though. Our server was friendly and quickly moved us inside when it started drizzling at our outdoor table near the kids' play area. They handled the transition smoothly. Perceived Value Don't quite understand the hype about having the "best view in Mammoth Lakes" - didn't see what all the fuss was about. Cleanliness & Hygiene Restrooms were reasonably clean for a busy brewery, though the men's room on the main floor gets backed up with long lines (probably all that beer). I came here during Mammoth Trailfest absolutely starving after a full day on the mountain, and let me tell you... this place DELIVERED. The first thing I ordered was the large pretzel and I'm not exaggerating when I say I devoured it. Perfectly warm, salty, chewy, with that golden exterior that snaps just slightly before giving way to soft doughy goodness. And the mustard? Tangy, bold, exactly what you want after hours of running around Mammoth! Then came the burger which was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. While you wait for a text to be seated, you can grab beers at the bar, then stand around in the warmth while browsing merch or enjoy the downstairs area with bar seating and a pool table. Beers had small nice selection - you can try all beers or specialities as 3 oz each together for a discounted price. Tried Lair of the Bear Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout, which had a dark flavor, and Mammoth Pilsner, which on opposite end was light. After a long day of hiking (or snowboarding and skiing during the winter months) you always crave a delicious burger and beer - and no place is more quintessential to Mammoth, than Mammoth Brewing. I highly recommend the Damn Good Burger if you're looking for a nice and FAT burger to slam down your gullet. I only got the single, and I was really full. From there, my gf and I got the specialty beer flight, and I think this would be the best value if you'd like to try all their specialties before landing on your favorite (it's HUGE) We also got the chicken BBQ flatbread, very crispy, but not a whole lot of protein in my opinion- still very good. Service was quick, and you can use olive QR codes to order everything, which makes things a lot quicker for the more tech savvy folks out there. This is my go to brewery/restaurant when I visit my son and daughter in law. Not just one visit but as many as I can get in. There may be snow in the morning which is another good excuse to have a burger and beer. The foot is outstanding. Service is always top notch and I usually go before the larger crowd comes in later in the afternoon. Mammoth Brew Co has a limited menu for gluten free but they do have a cheat sheet behind the bar with GF options and note what works for an allergy rather than preference. I had the burger with the GF bun, and when you ask for GF they also remove the bacon beer jam. I asked about cross contamination when grilling the bun and the server said he'd make a note on the order. I was a little nervous but felt fine after so I think they did a good job.
