OMG the food here was good! I walked in around 3:30pm after an entire day of XC skiing and was pretty hungry and thirsty. I asked for a Mammoth Kolsch but the keg kicked so waited a few minutes while the bartender went to change it. Bartender was great, got me a pint of the first pull with minimal head as I watched him make my pour. Thank you bartender! Head always sucks IMHO lol...and the Kolsch was nice and crisp, just the way I like it! I worked hard today and for some reason the thing calling my attention on the menu today was the short rib. That isnt the first thing on the menu I usually look for but probably working my body hard made me want some protein. The short rib was so good, very tender, so well cooked and the BBQ demi glace hit the spot. It also came with arugula garnish, which is my favorite green and went very well with the short rib. Potato gratin was yummy and the onion rings perfect! I ate to my hearts content, soooo good! Large portion size so I have leftovers for another meal. Service was good, host at the front was super cheery and friendly. Lots of merch for sale here. Many of the beers also in cans for takeaway too. Also ample parking, and there is also an area to sit outside too. I chose to sit inside as I was outside all day already and got more than my daily Vit D dose! This review is a few week late as Yelp had a pause in reviews for MB. We stopped by in mid April after a full day of skiing so we were hungry. The brewery is quite nice. It has a beautiful outdoor picnic table area with plenty of seating. It was a little too chilly that night so we elected to sit inside at the bar. There is a large gift shop and various areas. A grab and go drink cooler. We had two bartenders helping us. One was Lucy and the other a young man. Both were very attentive. My husband ordered the beer tasting flight of all MBC Originals. 7 x 3oz pour ......$15. He thought it was good. I don't drink beer but they had their root beer as one of the samples and it was very tasty. I ordered the house cab and it was good. We both ordered the Damn Good Burger medium temp. $17. prime beef, smoked gouda, chipotle aioli, organic baby kale, arugula, brioche bun I'm a burger snob. I'm picky about my burgers. They need to be cooked to the requested temperature and must be juicy. I felt the burgers were cooked perfectly and all the flavors of the toppings worked well together. Juicy, flavorful. I visited Mammoth Brewing, and it was a not the best first-time experience. The atmosphere is undeniably fun. It has ample seating and is a two-story building. The food and drinks were both good. I don't like scanning the code to order on the phone. For refills, you have to get up and walk over to get a refill. That was a new experience for me. This is something to consider if you have young children. The food took more time than we expected. Some food items didn't arrive, which made it difficult when you have teenagers who are hangry at this point. Overall, it was just okay. This was a subpar first experience. read more

Although I regret trying the beer myself, those in my party seemed to enjoy it. We came as a large party so we waited well over an hr and 1/2 for a table that we frankly made ourselves in the bar. We never made it to the main dining area. For a Tuesday night at 6pm in mid Jan, we were surprised by how busy the restaurant was. We ordered a variety of items (not all pictured) and everyone seemed to like their meal. The cheesesteak sandwich was delicious and the fish had a nice outside crunch with the flaky inside. The sweet potato tater tots were also good. My fellow diners, (even the one who ordered the double), commented on how much they enjoyed the burger. If you wanted to take some Mammoth Brew home with you, the restaurant also features a store with clothing and beer but apparently they ran out of root beer which was disappointing as it was one of the reasons we visited. As it was cold outside we appreciated the waiting area/bar in the basement where they had a few extra tables, a shuffleboard and a pool table to help past the time. I would rate the ambiance a 5, the food a 4, and the service a 3. The employees themselves were nice, but you wait an hour for a table to not have a server. Also, my friend and i ordered at the same table but separately 2 minutes apart and our flatbreads came 15 minutes apart. Came here 2 nights. The first night we made the mistake of ordering appetizers and entres together and it all came at once. The food was solid, and so was the beer, the pretzels with the cheese were my favorite. Love Mammoth Brewing! Love their beers, love their restaurant location in Mammoth Lakes, and their food is next level! I've been a craft beer nut for many years, and Mammoth's offerings are incredible. I've been curating a "Top 10" list for years, and Mammoth's 395 IPA is always at the top. Haven't found another even close! Wild hops and juniper berries??? Who would've thought? The restaurant definitely embraces the ski lodge feel, with bare timber, exposed beams, and rustic woodwork. But of course, all are welcome. They have a great gift shop, with many of their beers available in 4-packs, and will even fill growlers or crowlers for you on the spot. Excellent for camping trips. PRO TIP: Try their root beer! They make it themselves, and it is incredible. Unfortunately they don't can it, but they will fill your growler/crowler. Try Mammoth Brewing! A very unique experience. First of all, if you sit outside, you place your order online through your phone -- very modern, and honestly I think it's a smart way to lighten the load for the staff. That said, the prices feel a bit high for a place where you seat yourself, place your own order without staff interaction, and pay upfront (I'll never understand how I'm supposed to leave a tip for service that hasn't even been provided yet). As for the food: the pizza was on the small side -- definitely not enough to fill up a hungry guy on its own. But to be fair, it was delicious, no doubt about that. Now, the beer? This may be a bit of a hot take, but the best thing about Mammoth Brewing is their food. Those people over at the Eatery are serving some serious food. Their Bahn Mi Sandwich was making my mouth water and their "It's not a Philly cheesesteak" sandwich was above average. Maybe it is me and craft beers aren't really my jam anymore, but none of their seasonal brews stood out to me. But their food definitely did! This place can get quite busy, so go early or late if it's a weekend. Our beertender was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Damn Good Burger is my absolute go to with a side of waffle fries. 1/2" juicy pattie with chipotle aioli, mmmm. As expected, crowded after slopes closed at 4 PM. While you wait for a text to be seated, you can grab beers at the bar, then stand around in the warmth while browsing merch or enjoy the downstairs area with bar seating and a pool table. Beers had small nice selection - you can try all beers or specialities as 3 oz each together for a discounted price. Tried Lair of the Bear Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout, which had a dark flavor, and Mammoth Pilsner, which on opposite end was light. Service can be minimal, since you can pre-order and pay on QR code and grab your own glass of water. Or you can order at bar for some people interaction! Mammoth Brew Co has a limited menu for gluten free but they do have a cheat sheet behind the bar with GF options and note what works for an allergy rather than preference. I had the burger with the GF bun, and when you ask for GF they also remove the bacon beer jam. I asked about cross contamination when grilling the bun and the server said he'd make a note on the order. I was a little nervous but felt fine after so I think they did a good job. The first thing I ordered was the large pretzel and I'm not exaggerating when I say I devoured it. Perfectly warm, salty, chewy, with that golden exterior that snaps just slightly before giving way to soft doughy goodness. And the mustard? Tangy, bold, exactly what you want after hours of running around Mammoth! Then came the burger which was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. What really won me over was the little extras: they gave me a side of pickles, plus extra sauces and ranch for my waffle fries. And these weren't just any waffle fries. Stopped by for their tasting flight and some food on a Memorial long weekend. The beer selection was hit or miss - enjoyed their lighter options but the IPAs weren't for us. Food Quality Food-wise, it's standard bar fare but nothing special. The Damn Good Burger was average, and the Beef Short Rib tacos were disappointing with wilted cilantro and overly salty, bland meat. The Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza suffered from the same issue - too much salt, not enough flavor. Service Experience Service was solid though. Our server was friendly and quickly moved us inside when it started drizzling at our outdoor table near the kids' play area. They handled the transition smoothly. Perceived Value Don't quite understand the hype about having the "best view in Mammoth Lakes" - didn't see what all the fuss was about. From there, my gf and I got the specialty beer flight, and I think this would be the best value if you'd like to try all their specialties before landing on your favorite (it's HUGE) We also got the chicken BBQ flatbread, very crispy, but not a whole lot of protein in my opinion- still very good. Really happy I got to try Mammoth Brewing as it's a great spot to stop for a beer and snacks. We came early enough before the lunch rush and were able to snag us a seat at the bar. This is definitely a popular spot and understandably so. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Since outside was primarily families and we were looking for a different vibes we wandered inside and were impressed. Nice tables and a long bar top to sit at. The bar was cozy and not too busy so we sat here. We were greeted right away and staff were very friendly and attentive during our stay. We were impressed by their extensive dining menu with lots of appetizers and mains, however, we just had lunch somewhere else so opted to stick with beers. I'd like to come back for food next tim though as the neighboring tables dishes looked good. For beers there were a lot of choices. I went with one of their special which was called Pink Trout. It is a Kolsch beer. My friend went with an IPA. The beers were nice and cold, a good pour. Very happy with our selection. My only upgrade was I did wish they had something a little more fruit forward or an interesting sour but didn't see anything like that. What I did try though was refreshing and hit the spot. The views from the bar were nice. Windows so you could see outside and inside they had different sports / snowboarding videos playing. Bathrooms were clean and overall it was a well kept place. Staff were very very nice and friendly. We felt comfortable at the bar and were checked on an appropriate amount. Loved that even when it wasn't too busy they made good use of their down time and acknowledged the customers. Another great perk to this brewery is they do have some pretty cool merch and Mammoth centered clothing. We put our names in and we didn't have to wait very long at all. We got sent to two long tables out on the patio that were PERFECT for teenagers... tables 6 and 7. If you know you know LOL My son and I both had the Banh Mi sandwich and it was AMAZING. I'm not exaggerating. I love banh mis but this one was so memorable. I hope they still have it on the menu when we go back to Mammoth! The hubs shared the Golden Fish and Chips with my daughter. His only complaint is that he didn't get it on his own. My husband and I came here for lunch and we ordered the Huckleberry Sour beer and we shared the Baked Lil Piggy Mac and Cheese, Sierra Slaw, Banh Mi Sandwich, and Hot Chicken Sandwich with Waffle Fries. I don't normally like sour beer but I enjoyed the Huckleberry Sour. It was only slightly sour which I liked. All the food came out quickly and it all tasted good. The Banh Mi is by no means a traditional Banh Mi however I still enjoyed it. I liked the bread it came with and the pork was delicious. We enjoyed our lunch. You don't have a waiter or service you go up to the bar and you can order or you do it through the app and they scan it and then they bring it to you so you don't get like typical service . Every time I go to Mammoth Brewing, it's a new experience for me. I never even knew they had pool tables in the basement until yesterday! The beer? Fantastic. Try the double hazy IPA or Huckleberry Sour. The food? Surprisingly great!!! The flatbreads are seed oil free and have a sour dough base. The ingredients are all listed online when you scan the barcode to order. I love that they use olive oil instead of a seed oil. I was very impressed with the pepperoni flatbread, add ranch and hot honey (iykyk)! The service is always delightful. Bartenders remember your beer orders and the food comes fairly fast. Mammoth Brewing is a staple in the Mammoth area and distributes their beers widely in the Sierras. We stopped in for a pre-lunch drink and snack. The ordering process here is a bit complex. You can either order using a QR code or by walking up to the bar. Either way they deliver to your table. There is both upstairs and downstairs dining as well as a nice beer garden and a huge merch shop. Once we ordered, which didn't take long at the bar, our food came out in minutes. The lil sweeties were great. They are basically sweet potato tater tots with an awesome chipotle mayo. I also ordered a custom beer flight with some of their staples and some seasonal options. Everything was good. Mammoth doesn't brew anything too crazy, but does a good job at what they choose to brew. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic, so we'll at least have to come back to try some other food options. Cheers! read more
