Dropped by on a Friday night and to my surprise the place was pretty empty. The menu has great selections and service was reasonably fast considering everything was cooked fresh. I appreciate the affordable prices, such as adding the salad on for $2.99 more, although I would charge $1 more and add shredded cheese. While in town for a meeting I came across the California Grill looking for a place to eat close to my hotel. So I placed a takeout order of their Lobster Ravioli and was told the dish would be ready within 10-15 minutes. Given that the place was within a mile from where I was staying I got there ahead of time and took a few pictures of the restaurant. My order came out shortly after and I was on my way back to my hotel room. When I returned to my room I was pleasantly surprised at how much food I was given and it's definitely enough for two people. The Lobster Ravioli dish was still nice and hot. It was loaded with stuffed lobster ravioli and several large pieces of shrimp. While the dish was quite good the one thing it was missing the most was the lobster flavor. The shrimps on the other hand were delicious and proof that I didn't lose my sense of smell or taste. The small side salad was fresh but the garlic bread was too soggy and I wished it could have been a little bit more crunchy. Overall this was a good dining experience and most definitely I would come back for more. 3.5 Stars for reasonably priced & tasty food and friendly service. I'll be back. Absolutely delicious! I relied on Yelp to find us a yummy spot to eat while passing through Madera. This place did not disappoint! After asking the waitress for her top two favorite items, she suggested that we have a burger (forgive me I don't recall the name) that had sautéed mushrooms bacon cheese and a penne pasta with chicken and shrimp. Staff were super friendly! I called literally 1 1/2 hour before closing time to see if they're taking dine-in and a family of 5, to my surprise they said yes and were very accommodating with us. Food was delicious!!! Pastas were cooked to perfection just like how I love them, al dente.
