The gravy was a little watery and the biscuit was just okay. Nothing special and I'd probably never order it again. I give the French toast sticks a 5. I could probably eat 20. It was crispy with the perfect amount of powdered sugar. The pineapple smoothie was okay - 3 Star. It felt more like pineapple juice but it hit the spot for a hot day. A buddy recommended Giant Burger to me a long time ago, and I was finally in Firebaugh and with time to try it. I was not disappointed in the least. It was a VERY good cheeseburger - juicy, well seasoned, fresh veggies and a great bun that held up well. The drive was short and the burger was amazing I ordered the western burger with a side of onion rings with a coke, husband ordered a giant burger with sweet potato fries and mr pibb and my brother ordered the same with tator tots...it was all served with a side of ranch and hot and fresh ! I've been to Firebaugh many times. Eaten in Firebaugh many times. Every single time, it was at Giant Burger. Before the days of Yelp and smart phones, it was the safe choice. And convenient. The little building in the middle of town, on the main road. Easy to find, decent food, not too busy. But it's been years since I've had the opportunity to come back. So today was like the first time all over again. I will be honest. I do take issue with the patties that look like the frozen supermarket variety. I ordered the western bacon cheeseburger. It's like the Carl's Jr version. But instead of BBQ on the inside, they have lettuce, tomatoe and onion. I'd rather the BBQ sauce. Which I might add, you can get a few sides of for free. The fries were probably my favorite thing. For almost $10, I left nice and full. Almost too full. I'm from out of town and didn't know about this place I hesitated a little but decided to give this place a try, as I walked in with my husband the cashier started talking to us in English in good manners and my husband responded in Spanish and to our surprise she speak better than us with the proper Spanish version and I loved it. We placed an order on the phone they told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait. We went a little bit earlier, and we're in the drive through lane. Almost 5 minutes go by and the lady is standing at the window and didn't even acknowledge us. She finally tells us to pull up to the front and park. Once we got our food we asked if there was ketchup and she said "NO! There's salsa in there." With a very salty attitude. I said "well can we get some please and napkins." Doesn't take much to please me, especially when it comes to food. From the many times i've eaten here, i like it. Decent, good food. I always get the Crispy chicken sandwich and my friends like to get the specials. I don't mind that the chicken itself isn't whole but instead it looks like thick chicken strips enough to cover for a patty. I love chicken! Having worked in the food/service industry for over 4 years i believe this place does a good job with all that. Bathrooms are kept well and the place doesn't look a mess. The decor? Love! So cute, they change the christmas tree to fit the month's occasion like Valentines day or Easter. They have much more than burgers too that's why i love it! Honestly one of the BEST places in Firebaugh to eat. HANDS DOWN. No complaints from me whatsoever, everyone mostly know sometimes everyone in this small town so coming with my grandparents here they always strike up a conversation with the ladies. So this place is a gem. The vibe is small town Central Valley. The burgers are time warped right out of the 60's, prior to when bean counters reduced burgers to pseudofood. Stop there, and better yet, eat there. The building is a bit run down, but in a way the delayed maintenance kind of contributes to the experience. Being a mom and pop joint this place keeps that same flavor in their burgers. For being called Giant burger they aren't that big (oink oink) but they are tasty and dripping with yummy sauce. They also have those big rippled fries that I always crave. Many a times I get bored with the chain burgers and when passing through Firetown a stop at Giant Burger is a must. This was actually the first meal I had upon moving to Firebaugh. Ah, I remember it well--it was breakfast, and I had biscuits and gravy! It was OK, not anything to really jump and scream about, but decent. Since that first morning in Giant Burger, I've eaten many meals here. It does help that GB is located two blocks from my house, but in tiny Firebaugh, that's not saying much. I do enjoy their fried chicken sandwich, and my wife, the lovely Mrs. Shoehead always eats their signature "Giant Burger" being a small mom & pop joint, we've gotten friendly with the counter girls there, and they always give us nice friendly service. Giant Burger is really no different than hundreds (thousands?) of burger joints in small towns everywhere. Some are awesome, and some really suck... I'll have to put Firebaugh's Giant Burger, right smack dab in the middle, with a few extra points for being friendly with the staff. Oh, and great onion rings, too! read more

A while ago I went in for the first time and the lady that helped us was pretty nice and attentive. So we decided to go back for a second time shortly after our first visit, only I'm pretty sure the owner was the lady that helped us. My son happened to be under the weather so we took a little thermo wit a lil soup which by the way for all anyone knew it could have been tea for the sick kid right.. so right off the bat the lady as she was taking our order she mad dogged the thermo noticeably. We ordered and tried to describe to this lady our previous meals we had the last time and that that is what we wanted so we place the order then we take our seat and the booths are not but a couple of feet from the register which we could hear as the owner was taking another order right after us which was maybe 2-3 more burgers than we ordered.. We literally waited more than 30 minutes for our 2 meals because the owner decided to skip our order to make the bigger order that was taken after ours l. When we finally get our order one of the burgers was not what we wanted so when we speak to the lady that helped us(the owner) after we let her know that we described a different burger, she says that the one burger we want is $1 and some change more, so we .. PAY her her friggin dollar and still had to wait more time to have my meal, so we had a cold late meal and a later hot meal. Food is good but NOT the best lady. You mad dogged my son's thermo, skipped our order for a bigger order gave us your cheap $1 attitude and we had our cold and hot meal not looking such a giant burger to me.. take pointers from your employees lady they have a better attitude and compassion toward ur customers, maybe THEY need to be running ur business and maybe get a raise.. read more
