I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. She answered every question I had, including how they cook a medium‑rare steak (every chef has their own interpretation, lol). She also gave an honest answer when I asked whether the vegetables used at dinner come from their greenhouse.
