Best burger spot you'll have in a small town like mendota, the milkshakes are worth it

I love their burgers. They are always very tasty. The building needs updating but that dose not make the food any less great.

One of my favorite spots to eat when working out here. Best 'mom & pop' burger shop.

Margaritas were not from mix, sooo good!!! Victoria was our server and was fabulous, Sahn was our bartender, they were both amazing. They made sure we were happy!!! Fries were excellent and my side salad was soooooo fresh!!! Sahn was as attentive as Victoria. Love them both! We were so impressed with lunch we came back @ dinner time for more margaritas and appetizers. We ordered mushroom toast and calamari. Loved both!! Calamari came out hot and tasted great w/ aoli dip on side! We had more margaritas The restaurant is inviting with outdoor seating and beautiful bar with old town photos on the wall. Loved wine bottles on trellis and in the windows. May steal that idea for my own house. Considering going tomorrow after hiking again @ Pinnacles.

We shared a French dip sandwich with sliced house made prime rib and house made au jus sum delish onion rings and an enormous beet salad. It was very lightly dressed with lots of beets, cheese and was a light accompaniment to the French dip.

Everything else that came with the meal was about as satisfying as the meat. My iced tea was never topped off. The building was in decent shape however the parking lot was rutted out dirt mostly. Location is good in terms of visibility from the frwy. Bottom line is someone else should own and run this place. I believe it was once a thriving restaurant but not anymore. PS. Based on the other steller reviews I must have caught them on an bad day.

From the outside, you might not expect much--but inside, it opens up into a spacious and beautifully laid-out restaurant. There's a large main dining area perfect for families or casual dinners, a lively bar area that often turns into a dance space on weekends, a private room ideal for smaller gatherings, and even a banquet room that's great for hosting events or celebrations. The service here is consistently excellent--warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly every time we visit. I personally love their BLT sandwich; it's always perfectly toasted, stacked with crisp bacon, fresh lettuce, and juicy tomatoes. My husband's favorite is the tequila spicy pasta, which has the perfect kick of heat and a creamy, flavorful sauce that keeps you coming back for more. We've also tried the ribeye--it was decent, though not the standout item on the menu. The vegetables could use a little improvement in flavor and presentation. But where Farnesi's truly shines is in their burgers and salads. Both are generously portioned, fresh, and packed with flavor--definitely big enough to share. Overall, Farnesi's Steakhouse offers a welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, and plenty of hearty, satisfying dishes that make it a great spot for everything from casual lunches to evening dinners out.

This visit happened to fall on Mother's Day weekend. We had reservations for both Saturday and Sunday, but we stopped in on Saturday to cancel that day's reservation since we'd already eaten lunch and knew we wouldn't be hungry by dinnertime. On Sunday, when we checked in for our reservation, I was impressed -- the hostess remembered us by name, which says a lot considering how many guests come through the restaurant. We were seated, and soon after we were greeted by Eleanor, our server. She was warm, attentive, and never made us feel pressured, which was a huge improvement from a previous visit. She answered every question I had, including how they cook a medium‑rare steak (every chef has their own interpretation, lol). She also gave an honest answer when I asked whether the vegetables used at dinner come from their greenhouse. The service felt genuine, and the food was excellent -- a much better experience than my last review. This visit was absolutely worth the return. Kudos to Eleanor and the Kitchen at The Mission.

We called about 20 mins in advance on our way from Casa de Fruta (where I could eat nothing). We'd never been there, always stopping for a pit-stop at Pea Soup Anderson's when going through that area. So first of all, the hotel grounds are beautiful, totally unexpected in this middle of nowhere hotel. The outdoor dining area for the restaurant is gorgeous and relaxing. The staff aware all polite and helpful. I had to wait a bit longer than expected but I grabbed the pizzas and took them to the car and was first of all shocked at how beautiful the pizza was. I got the California veggie pizza without mushrooms and added pepperoni, with gluten free crust. My husband got the same but not gluten free. This was one of the best gluten free pizzas I've EVER had. Everything as clearly freshly made. Amazing. Sad it's so far away from where I live! On the way out I checked out prices for the hotel...about 200 bucks a night. Totally reasonable. We'll be back here next time we're heading through this area!
