Pretty simple review the cookies were pretty good very tasty and very big. I gave four stars because the staff member did not seem very kind and he seemed honestly a little annoyed that we were there. There's really not much else to say about it. The front of the store was pretty clean.

Price before taxes $16.63 when the menu says the price is $15.99 discrepancy?

Eddie's Café - I've been coming here for a while, but this will be my last visit. The food was definitely one star while the service was maybe three stars, but I'm here for the food -- and it was terrible. This place has really gone downhill. Not sure if there are new owners, but it's noticeable. The new menu was already annoying. For example, they have an Eddie's McMuffin that doesn't even come with an egg -- you have to pay an extra $1.99 for that. Ridiculous. I decided to go with the sausage and egg breakfast listed at $15.99, but when the receipt came, it showed $16.63 before tax. Why the discrepancy? The food came out quickly, but it was awful. The sausage patty had zero sausage flavor -- more like an overcooked hamburger. The bread was super hard, and I couldn't even eat most of it. The only decent part of the meal were the eggs. That's it. Yes, I left most of my food behind, and yes, they still charged me a lot for a breakfast I didn't get to enjoy. This will be the last time I visit Eddie's Café.

This is a great American brunch spot with some Mexican dishes. Or maybe it's a Mexican-American brunch spot. The food was delicious. Lots of American breakfast options and some Mexican food options too. I ordered the chilaquiles with steak and got it perfectly medium. The red chilaquiles were on point. Just wanted a bigger portion. Maybe less potatoes and more chilaquiles. Eggs and refried beans were perfect. The potatoes needed a little more salt for my taste. They were able to accommodate a big party. The ambiance was ideal. Not too loud, but not dead. Prices were good for the good quality food. I would highly recommend them. I can't wait to come back and try something else. My kids loved their pancakes. Their coffee is good too. Winner winner.

It has a good ambience the service is great the only thing I had an issue with was that our food was a little cold I ordered some chilaquiles and were cold. They were good but that was my first time eating there but I know I'll go again and try something else and then I'll update my review.

This breakfast diner was next to my hotel and we kept seeing people entering the day before so we had to try it out. The biggest thing that got me was that the hospitality was there, everyone was super nice and patient. They even liked to start a conversation even tho it was super busy. I had gotten the COUNTRY BENEDICT, it was delicious, the gravy on top of the eggs and the sausages inside. Bomb!! I also love cinnamon rolls, one of the reasons I came, and it was ok just looks good. Was dry and it didn't have a glaze just alot of butter on top. Would def come here again!!

My favorite potato's and gravy ever. The asparagus omelet is great. It is a Los Banos staple.

Black Bear Diner Los Banos

Truly an excellent restaurant…read more My wife and I were on a road trip and were drawn in by the beautiful flower arrangements and the storefront sign, so we decided to have breakfast here. Atmosphere: This is a black bear-themed restaurant. The interior decorations are delightful, including the log accents and bear-themed items--there's even a great selection of bear-themed merchandise. The seats are spacious and comfortable, the table settings are clean, and there's not a speck of dust on the windowsills. Truly beyond expectations. Service: The staff member at the front--was she up too early? I didn't feel she greeted us with the energy this place should offer. Once we sat down, however, the other servers were very warm and enthusiastic--they introduced the menu, offered recommendations, and provided service with a smile. When I used to run my own restaurant, I always told my team: "Taste is subjective--you can't please everyone. But if guests feel they've received impeccable service, they won't leave a bad review. On the other hand, if the food is amazing but the service is lacking, they'll never come back." Taste: The service and atmosphere are ultimately just ways to enhance the meal. Eggs Benedict: The eggs were cooked to perfection, the roasted potatoes were just the right size, and the side salad was huge yet well-balanced--not too heavy in flavor. Using baby spinach instead of romaine lettuce was a very nice touch. Steak and eggs: I asked for medium-rare, but I think it was a bit overcooked--closer to medium-well. Coffee: Excellent. After we ordered, the staff very kindly told us that the food might take a little while and asked us to be patient. Meanwhile, the menu and table settings introduced the restaurant's history, which helps guests avoid feeling frustrated by a long wait. I thought that was a very nice touch. I used this same method in running my own restaurant--by consistently leaving a strong impression on customers, you encourage them to return. If the owner is interested, I'd be happy to share a few more tips from my own experience running a restaurant. If I'm ever on another road trip, I will definitely come back. All the best!

Wool Growers Restaurant - Lamb stew - SO GOOD!

Probably one of my favorite places to stop by when driving between Northern and Southern…read moreCalifornia. Being able to enjoy a full meal without completely extortionary prices is a rarity in today's world - and quite frankly if you want to get it in California, you probably need to get it driving up and down I-5. Not sure where else you can do it. The set menu is pretty simple. You pick your entree, say what side dishes you want, and they're off to the races with a full-course meal for you by providing family-style sides - namely salad, a lamb soup (fantastic!), baked beans, even a quick easy dessert at the end. Also, a house wine, which I honestly can't judge in terms of quality, but it certainly isn't /bad/ (ie, it's drinkable). As for my review, the main entrees I've had have generally been decent. I've had the tri-tip and the lamb chop and they both have come out decently seasoned, decently cooked. My thoughts on the side dishes: 1. The lamb soup is definitely the best. It's super flavorful, super tender, the meat really falls apart in your mouth. Honestly, the lamb soup might even be better than the actual lamb entrees. 2. The vegetable soup is basically just fine. It's nice and hearty, but honestly not super memorable (in either direction). 3. The salad is probably my least favorite entree simply because it always has too much dressing and is a bit too "rich" for my liking. I've actually found that it tastes pretty good though if you eat it on top of the bread. 4. Baked beans - basically hearty and good with the generous parmesan cheese they put over it. I'm a fan. My actual certified Gamer Pro-Tip is to toss tabasco sauce into it - it definitely balances out the parmesan better. 5. Potato salad - I don't actually think too memorable besides being adequate. Definitely filling. Anyways, the amount of food and diversity of dishes you get is crazy - and it's remarkably rare to see this kind of cuisine at this price point. Finally, there's honestly just not a lot of competition in the "places to eat driving up and down between Los Angeles and the Bay Area." If I had to think of any changes, I really just think they need slightly less dressing on the salad! No complaints otherwise!

So this is a popular spot for locals. Had to hit it up. Older building but quaint and clean…read more Great atmosphere, bar is always packed and jolly. Seating is family style so a great way to meet people. I ordered the tri tip and my friend ordered the baked chicken. It comes with a bottle of wine and all the sides. I LOVED the salad!!! So fresh and crispy. Homemade garlic ranch dressing. It was delicious. Bread was good and fresh. Ranch beans were yummy, a bit cold but still very tasty. French fries were old and cool. Didn't love those. They also serve lamb stew. I don't love lamb so I didn't try that. My friend did and he said it was really good (ate my portion too!) Our meat came and the tri tip was flavorful but over cooked and saturated in gravy. I would try again but ask for more rare and no gravy. Gravy wasn't bad, I don't like over sauced food. The baked chicken was very tasty and very farm to table like. Service was great. People were happy and conversing. Waiter was very attentive. The experience was good. I need to try again and see now that I know how it works if I can try something different! For sure get the salad though!!
