We stopped into the Cork and Plough on our way back home. It's a hidden gem in sleepy little King City. We were seated right away and had a knowledgeable server who told us the specials. We saw all the beers and excellent wines on the list, but because we were driving, we had to pass. Hubs ordered the prime rib French dip. It came served on toasted ciabatta bread. He said it was shaved prime rib (house made), caramelized onions, melted cheese, and aioli. It was very tender. It was served with au jus, which he said he thought was flavorful on its own and if it wasn't house made, it was a good fake. Also, came with a side salad, which he enjoyed. I ordered the roasted beet salad with chicken breast. It was HUGE! It was beautiful, too. Came with an enormous chicken breast atop many roasted beets, feta cheese, and candied walnuts. It was dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette. Outstanding! It was Sunday evening after 7 pm and the place was over 3/4 full and a few to-go orders came in, too. Hmmm. People know this is a good spot. I will remember the Cork and Plough and try to return.

The food was served hot and fresh with a smile. We ordered the burger, pasta, sausage sandwich, clam chowder, drinks and other items. The facilities are clean and hospitable. Staff is friendly but lacks in communication. Party of 6 has an extra service charge that was not communicated. Resulting in over tipping. Price point for the food in my opinion is about 15% over fair value, I do recommend the location and food just make sure you check the bill.

My cousin's niece graduated high school so to celebrate, we took them out for lunch. We've never been in King City so we decided to look up on Yelp a spot that looked good. Cork & Plough looked interesting enough. Well in short, although the food was good, it took forever to get our food and didn't feel absolutely welcome when we were there. Perhaps they were having a bad day and it was busy (there was a group of 20 in a different room and lots of tables full in the main bar area). L O C A T I ON It looks like Cork & Plough is in the downtown-ish area so parking can be quite hard. We parked on the main street, but I believe there was another lot in the back side streets. M E N U A good variety of items from small dishes, sandwiches, burgers, salads, entrees, pastas and soups. We all were quite hungry and wanting to devour anything in front of us. We got the Pork & Cow burger and spinach salad with grilled chicken. The Pork & Cow burger was divine. Juicy, flavorful, a little savory and sweet (bbq pulled pork), and just everything you want in a burger. Definitely would get this burger again. The spinach salad was quite good especially good flavor combo with strawberry, apples and goat cheese with the poppyseed vinaigrette was great. In retrospect, we didn't need the grilled chicken as it did have kind of a spicy rub on it which my mom can't handle anything spicy and to her it was spicy. I had it and it was maybe a tingle so just be aware that the chicken does have a spice rub on it. And note it's an extra $6 for the chicken. S E R V I C E We were seated in the bar area. Then after a short while, we ordered and everything seemed fine. Then we were served our water and drink (one of us ordered Diet Coke). Then it was pretty much dead for about half an hour. Like we were waiting for our food and little to no interaction with the server. The server was also not super friendly to be honest but perhaps it was the stress of the day with larger groups. We eventually got our food after waiting over half an hour. We weren't sure about refills on drinks but no one really offered to refill the Diet Coke we had. Our waters only refilled once which was a bummer. It was kind of hard to grab someone to get the bill as well. So it just felt overall probably an off day for them. O V E R A L L All in all I did enjoy the food. But sitting in the bar area wasn't great smelling as it smells like a bar...you know that smell. So perhaps in the future, if ever getting food here, to-go might be a better option for us. Try not to go on a busy day or just don't go super hungry which we all were. I'm sure if you're there for like happy hour or after work drinks, I'm sure it would be a different experience. But definitely try them out if you're ever in the area.

I grew up in King City and visit my mom regularly. We always eat at the same places so my wife decided she wanted something different. I suggested Cork and Plough which is very upscale and pricey. Our lunch for the 2 of us was $57. That included a $4 coke from the bar which was watered down and not worth it. They do serve complimentary water so I suggest sticking with that. This is definitely not a place that we would go frequently but maybe only for a special occasion.

Ask the Community - Cork & Plough

Would C&P be able to show the Warriors game on 6/5/22? Not sure if that would be a fit - I've never been there but will be driving thru King City at that time.

Is C&P open on Christmas Eve? If so, what hours? Answered my question calling them. They should be…

On a warm April weekend, it was a beautiful place for brunch. We started with a few cocktails and mocktails. They were all well made and presented, but the favorites were the Cowboy and the Negroni. Cowboy had a nice presentation and had a smoky taste. Tomatini consommé did not have the flavor of Bloody Mary and tasted alright. Falafel Benedict was a nice idea with two eggs Benedict set on two falafels. It tasted good and falafel were a tasty and healthy replacement for English muffins. California Frittata came in a cast iron pan and was also well done. These two dishes were on the smaller portion size. Ventana breakfast and Margherita pizza were on the larger portion sizes and both tasted good. We tried three dessert and while they were all decent, none of them were impressive - Heirloom Wheat Waffles (shareable with 4 people), Strawberry Tiramisu (on the sour side) and Ricotta Zeppole (the custard was quite generic). The service was excellent, even though things moved at a relaxed pace. We did not mind it with the beautiful setting, weather and the view of the pacific.

JK I booked this on points a year in advance because it was the best way to get the cheapest point redemption at 45k points per night. Sadly this is going away with the devaluation... Ok onto the food, service, and vibes. Food - The breakfast was phenomenal...don't sleep on this place! While the dinners were also great. It's definitely memorable when you think about where you are and how the food is so darn good. It has a farm to table vibe while tasting like fine dining. The standouts to me was the Ventana Breakfast (basic but so goood) and the Branzino (catch of the day) which was cooked to perfection. Service - The breakfast service was sort of a miss on one day where they forgot my avocados to go with my Ventana Breakfast but we had great service at dinner. Our dinner servers on one night was Leo and he was so pleasant and kind of reminded me of Pedro Pascal lol Vibes - Each time we came here the music was exactly what I wanted. From sunset vibes like Tycho to 2000's soft rock....each meal had the right energy. It was relaxing but still upbeat. I found myself smiling and being grateful for being able to experience such a resort and restaurant! Overall I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5. The inconsistency in service was surprising but it wasn't a big deal. I highly recommend staying here at least once! Especially if you need a break from city life but are too bougie for real camping lol

LXV is especially known for pairing wine with custom spice and flavor experiences that complement the tasting. The cheeses are coated with the different blends of LXV's own herbs and spices, adding a unique layer of flavor to each tasting. If you enjoy cooking or simply appreciate bold, and well balanced flavors, chances are you'll leave with a few spice blends to take home along with a bottle or two of wine. Our first stop when we arrived in Paso. We've been to so many wineries, this would be one of our top 10. The spice pairing is unique but pairs so well with the wine. Buy 3 bottles to waive the fee. Since it's more of boutique, the bottles are quite pricey, mostly ranging near the 100s. But it was our favorite the whole weekend we went there. And we bought 6 bottles. We loved the spell and got 3 bottles of that! It's a Syrah cab blend. Has the Paso flavor that we love. It's not a vineyard, just a tasting room but worth a visit. We met the wine maker too. Friendly and attentive service. Can't wait to pop open a bottle at home soon!
