Looking at the existing low star rating, I can see why it's so low. My partner and I are fragrance enthusiasts/collectors and we frequent different perfume shops in Solano and Contra Costa County. We had checked this one out once before and were a little discouraged to return due to the lack of customer service we experienced. A middle-aged woman assisted us in the past, and although she demonstrated knowledge of the fragrances, she did not seem enthused to help us and we got the distinct impression she felt we were wasting her time. Well we returned yesterday to give them another chance and we are so happy that we did! ELIJAH is truly an excellent sales professional! He took the time to show us new arrivals - including designer and niche. He asked us about our scent preferences and what fragrances we already owned and made great suggestions on what we should try next. He provided great explanations regarding the fragrance notes of multiple scents and even the history behind some of the brands and specific perfumes. It truly makes a difference to have someone who is attentive and enthusiastic about the work they are doing. A pleasant, enjoyable shopping experience is important to consumers. For men: I would recommend any of the Daniel Josier fragrances, especially Green Leather. They are pricey, but well worth it and also very hard to find. Black Storm Private Collection by Lomani is also excellent and very underrated. It can be quite heavy and intimidating at first sniff but the dry down is so incredibly sexy and sophisticated. For women: You can't go wrong with anything from the Versace line or Dior J'Adore (original or Joy). Elijah suggested Bvlgari Omnia Coral and Vince Camuto Illuminare for me and I love them both. I'm extremely selective of my fragrances so finding something new and different that I actually like is quite rare. We ended up purchasing four fragrances and will be back for more. July 28, 2019 Smelling good, it's one of the laws of attraction. The dollar store stuff will only get you so far, you spray it and then the smell goes away right after. Thank Goodness for Purfumania, brand name fragrances at a discount. I for one have specific brands that I like, and since discovering these stores I've not been disappointed with the selection. Allow me to tell you why.. Perfumania: "Perfumania" the perfect store for your fragrance needs. Honestly the good thing about these stores is you don't need to go to an outlet store to find them. This particular one though did happen to be in the "Vacaville Premium Outlets". "Perfumania" is like the "Burlington" or "Ross" of perfume stores, but all the offerings are top notch. Sitting in the East Lot of the "VPC" this particular location wasn't as busy as some of the stores in the West Lot, but that still didn't mean they didn't have their consistent foot traffic. They had most of your big brands here and some of the mid tier brands as well. Me being a big fan of the "Sean John" (Puff Daddy) line of fragrances, I had to get another bottle of my favorite from the line "Unforgivable" . This cologne I think works with my overall body chemistry. I get many compliments when wearing this one, plus I think it smells amazing myself. I usually go cologne shopping with a woman, as I value a woman's opinion on scents. My choice ended up being the Sean Jean Unforgivable 3 piece set $40.00. This particular set normally retails for between $69.99 - $79.99 at other retailers, but "Perfumania" sells their products at a great discount. This set included the 3.2 oz Aftershave lotion and Body Wash, and the 4.2 oz cologne. The scent is sweet and warm with hints of citrus and floral notes. A great set overall for casual and formal moments. Overall: This location for me had a pretty decent selection of fragrances for both men and women. The service here for me was pretty good, the saleswoman who served me on this visit was pleasant and very helpful. I would recommend this location or other "Perfumania" locations to anyone looking for a deal on top fragrances. read more

I love perfumes, I'm always in search of new fragrances. I went to this store on Saturday (it was my fav store before) and didn't have time with my job so finally I made it on sat.. R U D E employees they won't greet at the entrance (like I'm used to before) but okay that's not a big deal I guess. I was specifically looking for certain perfumes so I asked the price (the guy barely could help me with the price scan because I don't know, he's unhappy with his job I guess) but anyways he thought me and my father won't make any purchase and he was absolutely not interested in help. I of course wanted to buy presents for Xmas here but his lack of interest about me asking prices (because no price is visible) kept me away from buying. Sad. read more

(Please be patient with me long winded) On December 9th, 2020 I decided to buy a bottle of Aqua Di Gio (6.7 oz) from Perfumania at The Outlets in Vacaville, Ca around 8p just before closing. I called before I arrived assuring they would have this item. This is my favorite cologne for the past 20 years! I was greeted by 2 female employees-- the main female that did the talking was pretty good at up selling and encouraged me to buy the bigger 6.7 bottle because I get more savings. She also suggested a travel refill bottle which I'm actually happy I got. I decided to also buy a 3.4 oz of Versace Fresh to which I have not opened yet. (and will defintely refund) Bottom line: the cologne does NOT last or even make it from Noon until dinner time. TRUST ME pleeeease- As a matter of fact AND with proof from a coworker I let him try on the cologne it wears completely and I mean TOTALLY off in like 4 hours. I even timed it! I looked up the authenticity of the bottle on various websites and YouTube sites to see if it's a fake. The codes matched up to a May 2020 birthdate but I have been told there are really good fakes out there. Or sun exposed ones. I called Perfumania about 3 days after purchase and of course---no refunds becuase it's open but they had no explanation. She mentioned my personal PH content in my body?? My senses not smelling it?? Been wearing this for YEARS why cant a 40 year old smell this --all --of --a-- sudden? My coworker, also a cologne junkie cannot smell it on him. We sprayed it on at 8pm and by 1230am all traces vanished. Even a police dog couldn't pick up this odor! I'm going to test more and more people becuase this cant be happening to folks. I paid $189 dollars for 2 bottles of cologne and it does not work. I will never shop at a mom and pop shop like this again....I knew I should have trusted my gut and went to Bloomimgdales or Macys! If you guys are reading this you should have at least allowed me to come into the store and investigated the perfumes quality instead of shying away and dodging a "valued" CUSTOMERS concern. Middle class people cant afford to spend $100 on water. What's it going to be Perfumania? The stuff does not work and you guys have not demonstrated any customer service....if this was Macys or Bloomingdales this wouldn't have happened. The selection is fair. There were some items there I wanted. I was getting ready to purchase one cologne by Kenneth Cole, and I let the clerk talk me into another, and it smelled good on the test strip When I got home I noticed it had a really strong chemical after smell. I took it back and the clerk pointed out on the small print on the reciept no returns after one spray even though I had planned on purchasing something more expensive since she was such an UBER snot about it I wouldn't go back nor recoomend this place....Caveat Emptor! P.S. if you look at the reviews on their other stores they aparently have a SERIOUS customer service issue. read more

Just went to the Vacaville perfumania store to buy my wife some perfume for her birthday I realized when I took the bottle out that it was the wrong perfume I went back to the store with receipt in hand both the salesman and the store manager were extremely rude and refused to take the perfume back or even give me store credit I didn't even want my money back I just wanted to get the right bottle I would strongly suggest that people don't go there and make the same mistake I made. read more

i will not ever shop there, the return policy is horrible and their customer service is horrible. if you buy anything please remember it a final sale even though the return policy says 30 days return unopen and unused. even if the item is unopen or unused they will not reurn it.
