Worst costumer service I've gotten from a "Manager". On Saturday June 29th at around 5:00pm As we arrived to the mall I decided to go to finish line to buy my kids some shoes they had been wanting. As I walk in with my family my son grabbed some all white high top air forces . She helped me find a pair of shoes for my fiancee for Disneyland ( he was not with me) and they worked out perfectly!!!!!! If I could give it no stars I would! Absolutely the worst customer service ever! Went in to return some shoes. Had the receipt, never used, perfectly new conditions. Item was purchased during holidays so receipt said in capital letters I could return until February 15th. "The manager" Melvin refused because it's been past 45 days even though clearly on the receipt it says I have until February 15th. I showed him the receipt and he continued to deny I could. I'm a manager in retail too so I know you don't want to ruin your sales for the day but I was within return policy guidelines. I asked for his name and he completely ignored me and turned away.. so I asked again and he looked at me but didn't say a word just looked away away and pretended to do something. I tried the third time and he said he didn't have to tell me anything so I said OK I'll just call corporate. He then threatened to call security on me... Not once did I ever raise my voice or say anything rude so I said go ahead. Of course he didn't do it because I wasn't doing anything wrong but wanting my money back. I ended up stepping outside and calling corporate. They told me he had no reason to refuse it because I was within the guidelines and I could go back in there and get a full refund. How is he a manager? Who knows because he customer service skills at all. I really hope he is just a key holder! Never again will I shop there! read more

I rate this place 4 stars because I received excellent customer service! Today Jesus helped me with getting sizes for my shoes and giving a really good explanation on how to use the shoe cleaner. He really went in depth on how I should use softer things such as a tooth brush or soft rag to clean the outside of my roshes. I know it's funny I had never used shoe cleaner before so it was a really good explanation rather than just handing the shoe cleaner off to me and that's it. He also made sure that if I had any problems with the being double charged which number to reach. There was an issue with my card scanning so he had to rescan. Overall really good customer service and it wasn't busy. Pretty big and cleanly place with lots of selections. Will come here again if I need new roshes lol I'm so in love with these types of shoes! read more

Great customer service from Melvin the store manager today. We purchased a pair of Reeboks there yesterday and my son inadvertently left them in the food court while eating dinner. I called asking if anyone had turned them in and Melvin said no, but he asked us to come in and he'd take care of us. He replaced them and made my son's day. He asked how he was doing in school and actually cared. He didn't have to do that and only asked to see his grades when we came in next time. read more

I like to shop at Finish Line in the Solano Mall because they have a large variety of hard bottom shoes for young children. However, last night I went into the store before they closed and was extremely disappointed. A sales associate named Joseph was extremely rude and rushed my friend and I out of the store. I figured he was tired and wanted to get home so I cut my trip short and decided to return the following day (today) when I had more time. The other associate went to help another customer and immediately Joseph got uncomfortably close and started fixing shoes around me randomly. When I told him that he was making me uncomfortable because of how close he was in my personal space, he accused me of trying to steal the night before when I came in. When I requested that someone else help me because he started yelling at me, he said I had a bad attitude and that he would have me removed and banned from the store. He said that he didn't have a problem with black people because his wife was a minority as well. He blamed his poor customer service and racial slurs on my attitude and threatened to have me banned from the store for requesting help from someone else and for looking suspicious. I purchased the shoe for my daughter anyway because they were the only store that had them, and there was a very kind and helpful associate who worked there (the only reason I gave it 2 stars). This is how Finish Line treated a military veteran and military spouse. In 2020 there are still people judging others based on looks and complexion. I will not be returning! read more
