The only time we come here is when they are having their buy one get 50% off second pair. That's the best deal I know in this store. I haven't really checked out their clearance section that are at the back and side wall. I might just need to maybe I'll find an even better deal. But, typically we come here to buy the standard low top black and white converse. This time around my daughter got a high top burgundy, a lil switch up from the typical color choice. My hubby unexpectedly bought a high top leather brown ones. But, you can never really go wrong w a white converse so my daughter and myself picked out the low top white. We came in when they are about an hour and a half before closing so it was nice that there weren't many customers that day so paying at the register was fairly quick. read more

I have been here a few times. If you like Converse shoes, it's a great place to pick up some new pairs for cheaper than retail. The brand new lines are just fractionally cheaper, but they do have a clearance wall of shoes which are priced really well. Sometimes, there's buy 2 for $40 sales and other deals. With some of the styles, it's pretty obvious why they're on the clearance wall though. Unfortunately, like with any clearance racks, it may be difficult to find a pair you like in your size. This was especially true over Black Friday weekend because the store was out of most everything. I was there on Sunday, so I don't know if they just sold out of most things, but they should have stocked up. This shop is really small though, so unless you live really close or plan on hitting lots of outlet shops, it's not worth a special trip. read more

I popped in here when I needed to buy a pair of Converses for a wedding. Never ever wore one before. Don't ask. Well, okay, the wedding was a Burning Man theme. So I bought a pair here because I hate buying shoes online when you don't know how they'll fit. They fit fine. And then I wore them. Oh, they are so not me. They feel like there is absolutely no padding on the soles. Very uncomfortable for me. Came from Sacramento to shop at the outlets. We saved the best for last- The Converse Store! We knew exactly what we wanted (size and all) to make it quick trip. We had 10 minutes to closing and the doors were open. An employee was vacuuming the entrance and he told us they were closed. We told him we came all the way from Sac, showed him what we wanted (we were currently wearing on old pair) he said "we have those, sorry come back tomorrow" shrugged his shoulders. He then proceeded to shut the door and lock it in our face. Ten minutes before posted store closing time! I'm very disappointed in the lack of empathy and professionalism. read more

The story begins with a call by me to the store to ask if they have a particular shoe (white lowtop) in a specific size (1.5 youth); answer is "we have many pairs." I drive 35 miles to Vacaville and discover that yes, they have many pairs of shoes and many colors, but NOT white lowtops in size 1.5 youth. In the store I try on size 2 and since it's my first pair of Converse lowtops in 25 years, I ask for advice from the sales people. "Cute" and "fit you just right" in the words of two employees. I wear them around the store for about 15 minutes and then take them home in the box. When I get the shoes home I wear them in the carpeted house for 10 minutes before my niece (an expert on Converse) says "nope, those are too big, you should be wearing a size or half-size smaller." I immediately take them off, drop them in the box, and drive back up to the store the following weekend. EXCEPT when I go to grab the bag in the trunk -- they aren't there. My niece has put them into the other car's trunk. I go into the store anyway, buy a half-size smaller, and sure enough, I'm a size 1.5, not a 2. Very happy and content with now having the right size, and then..... This past weekend I drive BACK up to the outlet specifically to return the size 2. I stand in line for 10 minutes, only to have the more mature woman working the register open the box, flip the shoes over and tell me they're "worn" and I cannot get my money back. I point out that I DID wear them, in the store, and for a few minutes at home -- period. The woman insists they are "used" and I point out that if they have been worn they were sold to me "worn." (Twice for customers in front of me she sent runners to the back of the store to grab "fresh" shoes to replace the shoes brought to the counter for purchase; when I bought both the size 2 and the 1.5 they were the pairs I took from the floor itself -- NOT "fresh" from the back!) Her final comment is "I wouldn't have sold them to you like this." Well, since she wasn't the person who sold either pair to me, that's hardly relevant. My mistake was to believe that wearing shoes in a store and for a short time on carpet at home doesn't count for squat when it comes to a return. Her mistake is that 1) I won't take my nieces and nephews to this Converse store EVER again (and it was their store of choice for these shoes, which they wear constantly and replace regularly), and 2) that I will strongly suggest to others that they save their time and effort to pay the little extra the same shoes cost either online at the Converse website or in a store that values its customers, like Nordstrom. read more

Great store. We all love Converse. It's extra nice that you can get a product you love at a store you love shopping at. Tip: If you can't find your size in clearance, they do have stock in the back so always ask a floor person to check. Also, they will call other outlets in the area to find someting for you. The young women staffing the store could not have been more attentive and helpful. My friend found a shoe he really liked, but not in his size. The young women called the other outlets, checked online and when that didn't yeild results, gave him the bar code of the shoe so he could search online with various retailers that may be carrying the shoe. I've been going to the outlets for years but I guess I've never noticed this place. So, back to the chucks...they have tons here and a good selection in the clearance section. Went there Thursday evening and the girl working the front went to the back and didn't come out for hella long. Me and my husband were waiting to be checked out for a while. It was really annoying. Some customer even came in and set off the alarm and she never came to the front. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the guy that was doing the front window setup was nice. After waiting for however long he peeked his head around and saw us waiting and said sorry. Even tho it wasn't his fault. The girl didn't let him know she was skipping out to the back. He was busy doing things and she was no where to be found. Really bad customers service on her part and she seemed rude the time we did see her. read more

Alright, first- when we walked into the store we were told All shoes in the store are BOGO half off. At the register we were told different that only selected shoes are on sale. Second- the cashier "checked" some shoes my sister bought and let her walk out with two different sizes. Lastly I went in to maybe exchange some shoes for a different size... I handed my box to the short lady with short blonde hair, I told her I was maybe going to exchange them... Mind you I've only tried these shoes on at home on carpet... She came at me accusing me saying. "you wore these shoes!" she wasn't even professional about it. Didn't say " excuse me sir" or "I'm sorry but it looks like these look like the were worn" she came to me telling me I wore them with an attitude. She just kept on saying I'm not returning these They are used. I said I understand that they seem to be used but I didn't use them. She said we don't sell shoes like this. My sister was there exchanging the pair of shoes she was sold in two different sizes each shoe. My sister reminded her why was there. She wasn't listening and just walked away. She offered a discount on another pair of shoes but after that I didn't even wanna be in the store. I'm not mad at the fact that I wasn't able to exchange them because I was probably going to keep them I just wanted to try on another size but I'm just upset at the fact that she treated me with disrespect and like if I was trying to make a fool of the store. I'm not stupid. I wouldn't return used shoes. I hope this gets to someone important. It was my first time buying a pair from converse. I absolutely love this place. I mean...I wear other sneakers obviously...but Chucks are definitely my go-to comfy sneakers. The customer service is always great. They will greet you and ask if you need any help and check on you to make sure you're still doing good. They'll look for certain styles in your size. They'll even pull a few other similar styles of sneakers just so you have a selection. I love when they have their Buy One Get One Half Off sales. That sale is PERFECT to buy one classic pair and maybe a pair of European leathers or maybe some Jack Purcells. Too bad the classic Chucks are ALWAYS the "Buy One". Always the full price, never the 1/2 off. Oh well. Getting the leather or JP's for 1/2 off make it and even better deal anyways so I don't mind too much. The clothes at Converse are actually really comfy too though you may not want to throw it in the dryer...or just get a size larger. They should bring back the adult license plate pullover sweatshirts though. Oh gosh, I LOVE CONVERSE. read more
