The employees were extremely cold. When I walked into the store it was completely empty, there were three employees standing there, no one greeted us. I needed some new tac pants and visited the 511 store in Fairfield. The store is nice, clean and organized! They had a large selection of men's and women's pants, clean dressing rooms and friendly staff. While their clothes are a little on the expensive side, they're products are worth the price and are well made. read more

3 stars overall in my opinion. The reason being this 5.11 is hits great with the outdoor community by having the most basic essentials such as clothing, and gear. 5.11 offers some really good items at a fair cost. But 5.11 misses its mark with the tactical duty and uniform duty community. You would think being near a airforce base, and near State, County, and city police departments they would offer an exclusive in store line tailored to the departments at a minimum. I end up having to go to Galls Oakland or Sacramento. I'd like to see more TDU, or PDU options in store. Maybe some duty equipmentas well. If you want to get crazy .......offer a Patch and Embroidery service. read more

5.11 Tactical - Outdoor Gear Near Me - Fairfield, California

I'm so glad this place opened up, unfortunately many of the mom and pop uniform shops are wildly overpriced. The hours say 8pm and that will be true at some point, but due to them being understaffed they've been closing at 6:00 p.m. I love the nice clean modern showroom. I could order online from the 5.11 store, but nothing quite does it for me like trying it on first and looking at the cut, feel, and fabric. I came in a little bit later in the day while they were about to close. I'll definitely swing by a little earlier next time and explore all the products. read more

Needed to buy some work pants. Noticed that this store just opened up and they close at 8. Sweet! As it was 5:30 and I still had to pick up my son from daycare and errands. Arrived at the store and as I am walking up and talking to my 6 year old I hear a click and take a step or two more, reach for the door, and pull. It's locked. Confused I look through the window and there is a man wagging his finger at me. He points to a sign by the door that says the store times which say they close at six. I check my phone and it's 6:01. I was fine with the store closing at 6. Whatever covid times and what not, but don't lock your door as I'm walking up and shake your finger at me. That is garbage customer service. The least that could have been done was open the door stay six feet apart and tell me the store is closed.... Or even better have the store associate that was just outside and walking past me give me a heads up. Update your store times online! Especially since you can only read the times when you are right in front of the door. Literally locked the door as I was a step away from it! read more

We came from Sacramento to check this one out on the way to do other things. We weren't impressed with the size of the store. The Date Ave. location in Sac is about 3 times bigger. The selection wasn't bad here though. Staff were really friendly with us and offered immediate assistance. read more

Anthony is the only employee to make me feel welcomed while providing outstanding customer service. Anthony is knowledgeable in what seems to be every item in the store and is the reason I drive 20min to shop at this location instead of ordering online. 5 stars... However i will be calling corporate on the toxic manager that seems to think its ok to treat customers as if they are thieves. I've Also shopped at the 5.11 store in Sacramento multiple times so I know that this managers actions do not reflect 5.11 standards. read more

Went in there today and I was the only customer. The employee did not greet me or asked if I needed any help like other 5.11 stores. I walked the whole store and also walked infront of the counter where he was stand and still did not acknowledge me. I was looking to buy some stuff but not here due to this. New store, new employees, and I know they are short staffed. Not sure why the previous person commented about an employee being un-helpful. When I went in I was greeted, asked how my day was and what brought me in today. I'm thinking it was an Elk Grove employee with the initials AS trying to make a new store look bad. So I came to the Fairfield location for their grand opening. Of course It was a mad house that morning when it first opened so I left and came back about 30-45 minutes before closing. I purchased several hundred dollars in items and got the goodie bag that came with the purchase over $200+ as well as the 20% all items. I wasn't sure if I wanted the apex or the ridge and the employee said, if I don't like either or, I can come back and exchange them at a different time since the fitting rooms were occupied and they were close to closing. I was happy with my purchase so when I got home I tried them on and figured the apex looked to baggy on me so I wanted to exchange them for the ridge. I called the store to confirm if they had the size and color I wanted and they put me on hold and I waited 5 minutes so I hung up and decided to just go into the store instead. I get to the store, the lady said to pick out the one I wanted and she can do the exchange. She seemed a bit nervous while doing the transaction as im sure its her first day on the job that's fine. But the gentleman who I would think is the manager told me that since its for a different product (literally the same design and price with a different name only one is straight leg and one is slim fit) that they cannot exchange it because I purchased it at the 20% discount, so I would have to pay the difference of close to $20, I asked him if he can make an exception given that I was told different. He said in a rude way, No because if he made an exception to everyone, they'd be out of business. I simply said ok that's fine, took my stuff and walked out. I will be coming in on another day to return my entire purchase and will not support this store who's employees are rude. I get it, my fault for not trying on before buying but if another employee told me one thing I took their word for it. read more
