My sister has been looking for a pair of Hokas on sale and this was the second Rack location she tried. Unfortunately no luck here, but I tagged along and tried on some shoes. They have a very large selection of good designer shoes...the largest choice of Sam Edelman shoes I've seen in ages. The discounts are good, not great. I ended up choosing a pair of EVA Arizona Birkenstock sandals. At $54.95 they are $5 more than buying on Birkenstock direct website, so no savings especially as free membership allows you free shipping. However, I wasn't sure of my size for this brand so it was helpful to try several pairs out in person. The salespeople here were low key and helpful if asked for assistance. The store was large, cool, well lit and had a large selection. The store was larger than the ones I have gone to in Sacramento. I briefly looked at personal care items and they had a nice selection. Otherwise, we didn't have time to look at much else as we wanted to head home and beat the traffic. I am taking one star away for no discount on the shoes and the fact they when I got home I realized the security tag hadn't been removed at checkout . Fortunately my Dad had a bolt cutter and he took it off for me.

I hadn't planned on buying anything and mostly wanted to browse, but once I wandered into the jeans section, that quickly changed. Like many people, I've always seen the Levi's numbers, 505, 511, 512, and so on, but never really understood the differences between them. After staring at the sizing and style chart for a few minutes, I finally asked one of the associates for help. She was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to ask what I actually liked in a pair of jeans before recommending the Levi's 511. Long story short, that's exactly what I ended up buying. The store itself is large, clean, and well organized, and there were several associates available to help throughout the visit. Prices were also very reasonable, especially during the Memorial Day sales.

She told us to feel free to look around if we wanted. She was polite and professionally friendly in her demeanor. At the time there were no other customers in the shop, so no offense could be taken by others. We browsed briefly. The dressing room are single rooms that are accessed by staff only. Oh...the dressing room I was in sorely need a new coat of paint. It was very drab and worn looking. Every second being in the box made me depressed and claustrophobic. The two associates working were very matter of fact though. There was only one customer in the shop when we were there. As I walked around the shop, the male associate comes up and asks "how can I help you". I told him I wasn't looking for anything in particular, just looking for now. "Skateboarding" I stated my case... I'm into BMX and hanging out . He came out with a couple pairs of shoes designed more for my type... "BMX and hanging out" These shoes fit much better and look good on my feet. I was impressed with his product knowledge. Now I know what I need in a Vans shoe. The Berle is a totally different design from the Denim Kyle Walker and the Trujillo shoes I had purchased. I loved those shoes they just don't fit my feet as good as these Berle's do.

We found some things to purchase and were satisfied. It is a place to check out and depending on the day they may have what you want.

I had ordered a kitchen aid mixer as a gift for a friend, Kohl's was the only store I could find…read morethat offered the color that they wanted. Even though I have never bought anything from Kohl's before I decided to purchase through them to get them that specific colored mixer. The box arrived, I checked the box it said "matte black" on the outside, which was correct so I wrapped it up and dropped it off at my friends house. When they finally opened it they discovered it was actually a Teal mixer that was in the box. They let me know and I was so embarrassed that i had given the incorrect gift to them. I now had to make time to drive to their house to pick it up and call to orchestrate the return. When I called customer service they said that due to the cost of the item the return had to be done in person. The closest Kohl's is about a 30 minute drive from me so it took a few weeks for me to have the time to return it. I drove to the Kohl's in Vacaville to do the return/exchange but there wasn't a matte black one in store so I would have to return it. Unfortunately the card I had used to purchase the item was stolen and they needed that card in order to process a refund. They offered me Kohl's cash but that is a lot of money for a store that I don't shop at, and I still needed to spend the money to replace the one I gave my friends as a gift. I was feeling pretty frustrated but luckily Marina R. And Taylor J. (In return department on 3/13 at ~3p) Were able to save the day and come up with a solution that I think was satisfactory for both parties. They were incredibly professional and helpful. I understand that mistakes happen, and that's ok. While it was frustrating having to dedicate so much time and effort toward rectifying Kohl's' error, in the end the problem was solved and Taylor and Marina's customer service may have made a Kohl's shopper out of me!

I've been treated like a little kid multiple times by the staff, one time being told "tell your mommy...". (I'm in college). My sister and I were treated horribly and dismissed multiple times by the customer service desk over a store credit dispute, telling us to "just call the customer service number on the back". I thought you guys were customer service? AND nobody wants to talk to the robot on the phone. They did try to explain to us why they couldn't help, but it made zero sense and it was delivered with an argumentative tone. Anyways, time to shop online from now on, as nonexistent service is better than whatever they got going on in the store.
