Gap Factory was one of our stops during a visit to Vacaville Premium Outlets. My wife was looking for a pair of pants, and I was hoping to find a couple of T-shirts. The store is large, clean, and well organized, making it easy to head straight to the sections we wanted. While I didn't find a T-shirt that caught my eye, my wife had better luck and ended up finding a pair of pants she liked. On my last recent shopping trip to this Gap Outlet, they had both petite and short length jeans. Better yet was the pricing.I bought a pair jeans (which I always found to be an odd phrase to say 1 jean). It cost $25, marked down from $70. Score! But since this is an outlet shop, the inventory changes up quite a bit and there is no guarantee of petite and short pant sizes availability. So I don't advise making a special trip expecting those. But it's worth checking out if you're in the area. The shop has women, men, and children clothes discounted from the retail Gap stores. And if you're wondering what's the difference between petite and short, please let me tell ya. Both sizes have a shorter inseam then the regular size. The inseam length is for gals 5' 4" and shorter. The short size keeps the proportions to regular sizing all except for the inseam length. The petite Gap cut, on the other hand, is cut smaller in all proportions and not just the inseam. The petite Gap cut is not the industry standard. It's a nice option though for the smaller framed gals which I am not. read more

We visited the store yesterday, Sunday. My wife had trouble finding her size in a particular coat she wanted. The staff were very helpful in tracking down her size. They stripped two mannequins to get the right fitting size. Such a nice, patient lady. The value was quite good at 60% off. It was a successful shopping trip. read more

Diego is very rude. I came in to the store to pick up two online orders and when I got to the counter I had picked up a dress to buy for my granddaughter. Diego gave me my two online orders but when I asked him to ring up the dress he told me he had to help someone else. So I got back in line and watched him handle their return then ring up their items that they had picked up in the store. Very rude why did I have to stand back in line but they didn't? Wow! I came to GAP to shop for some cardigans. I came in the store and the cashier turns her head to see who came in the store. No hello no smile! I walked around the store and another employee turns looks at me. No hello no smile and kept going with her task. So I left the store feeling with negative vibe. Customer Service sucks!!! read more

I give not just the store but the entire business a one star. . A few days ago, on the GAP app, I ordered a hoodie. And yesterday, it said my package was delivered at my home. But, when I checked UPS tracking, it said it was mailed to the local post office. So this really confused me due to it saying that it was both at my home and at my local post office. In addition, I got a text message saying that my address was not completely filled out but I used this exact same address for my other online orders. On that text, it also said to fully fill out your address so it gave a link to go to but the link did not work. Altogether, this really confused me. This entire morning I have spent trying to figure out what is happening. I tried to tell them that my package wasn't delivered and it said it would arrive in three days. But at the same time I'm thinking how will it be delivered because they "don't have my full address" even though I have screen shots of it showing my exact address and me using the same address before. In conclusion, GAP has horrible customer service and should take the initiative to enhance their app and overall business which is why this is a one star. read more

I don't know what is happening to the Gap Outlets, but they are starting to cost more than the regular Gap stores???? I notice that the prices are high, they give you a 30% discount, but the item is still like $40!!!! WTH? Clothes should be like super cheap. Not sure but it's almost cheaper to hit up the Gap stores and check out their clearance section. Maybe the outlets will get better again? Who knows? I was expecting for Vacaville to be cheaper than the Livermore Outlets, but they weren't. read more

The 3 times I've been in here have been such a horrible experience. The employees are so rude and don't even acknowledge you. I had a pick up order and I kid you not they were just standing there staring me down, didn't even ask if they could help with something or even say a simple HELLO but obviously these little girls have no education. I love their new location, with a whole new area just for GAP kids. My best friend and I battled it through the rain just to go outlet shopping. I first want to give kudos to the excellent customer service they provided in the dressing rooms, when I couldn't find a size in a jacket I wanted, they were very prompt in finding it in a smaller size and getting it back to me right away, totally awsome! Plus you can't go wrong with their sales, I think I got one of my sweaters for $3! I get a lot of my work pants here and I never spend over $20 on a pair. read more

I use to love shopping at the Gap but its been a while since it seemed like their designers lost their inspiration and clothes were becoming more plain and all of the same colors. This passed weekend with their huge sale and a friends and family coupon in hand I ventured back into the Gap Outlet in Vacaville. The designers are back! I found a wide variety of colors and styles for the fall season and lots of great deals. Being a big shopping weekend the store was packed but staff managed to keep things in organized, fitting rooms ready and the cash out line moving. Today I returned to the Gap to see if I could exchange a dress I bought on Saturday for another size. Unfortunately the size I needed was not available but Heidi was very helpful in locating the dress at another location. She tried calling the other location twice, secured the dress and assisted me with my purchase. Thanks for the great customer service! read more

I went to the Gap at the outlets in Vacaville this week. This is my second time going in a 2 week period and they do not disappoint when it comes to customer service. We had the pleasure of having Tristan assist my daughter and I. She had answers for our questions and was extremely polite and helpful not to mention a great attitude and personality. My daughter and I will be going again this weekend, she wants to get another Gap zip up and matching sweats.This is becoming her new favorite store and I'm totally okay with that since I know if we need assistance customer service will be on point. Based on our interaction with Tristan being so professional this is a big factor why we will be returning. I was really pleased to stop by here the other day to use my Gap Cash. This store is smaller but it had some good selections. I was impressed with the quantity of spring items as spring is just starting! The sale section was also full of goodies but sizes were limited. The store was pretty much all 40 percent off that day, which seems to be pretty normal for most stores to have some storewide sale going on. We got some great deals. Our total went from 100 dollars down to 55 after the Gap Cash and my teachers discount was applied. read more

In the not so distant past, I used to be a Gapnatic! Now setting foot in this store I don't have the same love for it as I did before. Perhaps it's the feeling like the clothes are not as quality as they used to be or the styles are not as fun. One thing is for sure, I think I see the same styles coming through that I saw two years prior, is there a fashion cycle? This particular store is ok. Each time I've been in it seemed as if a tornado hit the place (the tornado being some really competitive women blowing through). I can give them props though for their environmentally conscious thinking by selling reusable bags that get you a 10% discount on one item when used. I of course jumped at the chance and got some really utilitarian work shirts out of the deal. While there's not a need or serious drive to come in, I can always browse. read more

I don't shop at the Gap (mainly 'cause none of their men's shirts are cut to a flattering shape for the deep-chested and narrow-shouldered), but I was recently given a t-shirt as a gift. I didn't need yet another t-shirt, so I exchanged it here for a pair of sandals and a cheap little manbag, both of which I did need. The store is impressively large, and it's connected to a Gap Kids as well. All the surfaces looked quite new, and indeed the cashier told me they'd just moved to that particular area of the outlets. So what is the selection and the price range like? Imagine that all the sale and clearance racks of a regular Gap exploded in here. The deals here range from 20% to 70% off depending on what you're looking at, and it's up to you to decide if that is worth a trip to the outlets. The 20% discount is something you can find at a regular, non-outlet Gap, while inspecting the 70%-off merchandise mostly just leaves you with the nagging feeling that the company is still probably going to make at least a 40% profit margin off of the stuff. read more

Lots of sales going on right now at Gap Outlet including Baby Gap and Kids. :) The employees working in the Children dept was very attentive whereas the employees working in the women/men dept weren't. The selections of Children clothes were so cute, sold variety, but when I looked in the women's section, kind of boring for my taste. I actually didn't pick up anything because my wardrobe basically sold the same, similar outfits, which I picked up from Old Navy few years ago. Overall, love Baby Gap and Kids store. read more

Found jeans. Went to try them on, and almost got turned away. Lady on intercom/walkie talkie, was very rude, short when fitting room employee asked if she could let me in the rooms. Lucky she did, ended up spending $160 dollars at closing time. Stock is good, love the clothes here just wish they would have been a bit better with the customer service even if it was closing time. read more

This place gets busy and messy. Quickly. Even if they have 20 people working on the floor, they wouldn't be able to keep up with what people are doing to the displays. This location is either a total hit for me or a total miss. Either I spend $100 or nothing. But if you're in the area, it's worth stopping in to see what they've got. Because of all the tour buses that come through, if you're only getting one basic tank top, it might not be worth the effort to stand in line and wait to pay. Don't expect to get ANY customer service here. They take the whole "outlet = no service" idea reallllllllllll seriously at this location. read more

There hasn't been a time where I've stepped in and seen the store orderly. I always seem to be stepping over shirts on the floor or sweaters mixed in the wrong rack so when I'm looking for my size it's no where to be found. If you have the patience to sift through the mayhem, the Gap Outlet store is definitely worth your time. I recommend going in on a weekday to avoid all of the weekend crowds. I definitely used to be a GAP girl back in the day. I loved the simple styles and the colors. These days, I can breeze through in a matter of minutes because nothing really seems to catch my eye anymore. The jeans, especially with a coupon, are pretty much the only reason I come back. The staff helped me look for some sizes, which I appreciated, but it was pretty dead in there minutes before closing. I think if it wasn't in such a nice little cluster of other stores I like to visit, I would be a less frequent visitor. read more

I loved the baby/children section of this store. The customer service was great, however; in the grown up section no one offered any assistance. Although this is the outlet I still expect some sort of customer service but there was certainly a lack of that the day I was there. The store was having a sale (when are they not?!) and things were messy but I managed to find a couple pair of lounge pants. I was waiting to pay and there was no one at the cash registers so I just stood there eyeing the lipglosses and whatnot. A guy comes over and motions for the next person in line to pay. I get up there, put the merchandise on the counter, he scans the items and tells me the total. I take out my credit card and swipe it through the credit card machine in front of me that says "please swipe your card". A few seconds later, nothing happens and I swipe it again. He then slowly realizes that I am attempting to pay with that machine and probably hits "credit" on his side of the register. Transaction goes through and he stuffs the receipt into the bag and practically shoves me the bag. No "Thank you" or anything! Coming from a retail standpoint, that was really a poor customer service interaction for the entire company. read more

I used to like going to the Gap outlet because of all the great deals. I found that the quality was not the same on many items when I compared them to the regular Gap stores. Cardigans were thinner with cheap buttons. Jeans and pants don't have the same fabric quality either, as well as the buttons and zippers. I did some research and found that Gap and Banana Republic outlets sell cheaper quality clothes than their regular stores. The styles may be similar, but you're paying for WalMart quality with the Gap Outlet name. read more
