Most of my daughter's first clothes are from this Carter's! They have some really great deals and even better ones if you sign up for the coupons. Even when I forget a coupon, I'm still pleased with the prices. The prices are comparable to stuff you can find at Target, which carries Carter's diffusion line, Just One You by Carters. The difference is that Just One You is usually made of thinner material that's not as soft. The last time I went to this Carter's, there weren't too many fleece sleep-and-play onesies beyond newborn size, but I was able to stock up a little for spring with other doorbuster deals. There's always a nice employee with fun makeup there - I believe she is the manager - who makes shopping there a pleasure. The line may move a little slowly because of the personal touch with each customer, but that's OK by me. I'd probably go to Carters all the time with my daughter if there was a bathroom with a changing table. :D read more

Do not come here! These people will get you and your kids sick!! I've been coming here since my son's been born so almost 2 years now. Never had an issue. Today I walk in to grab my pick up order and the girl at the register looks and sounds clearly sick! So I ask her "are you sick" she says "yes" as she's touching my package. I asked her why is she at work then and she says that they won't let her go home so she's working sick! WHAT?! So meanwhile u don't wear a mask and are risking everyone you come incontact with including CHILDREN to get sick!! What kind of establishment allows this?! Just terrible! I took my stuff out of the packaging and told them I'm leaving with my already paid items since I don't want someone who is SICK touching my stuff!! Literally insane. Won't be back. It was a weird environment walking in no welcome or greeting but the people after me got a greeting from the older woman. She seemed to be selective to whom she welcomed in. It was just weird but they want to ask me to open up a credit card? Atleast have good customer service. No one was available on the floor to answer questions. I would have picked up more things if they had more sizes available or if I got a chance to ask someone. There is a ton of selection and a lot of older collections from there non outlet stores. The prices however were the same as the regular store. No reason to drive over here when you can find the same deals in the stores closer to you. read more

went in to EXCHANGE an item WITH tags but no receipt as it was a christmas gift. the lady at the register by the name of jhonnie or jody, told me i was not able to exchange it because it had to be exchanged the SAME DAY i received the item which doesn't even make sense. she was not friendly or helpful AT ALL. Called a different store and asked if i could exchange the item and was told YES it is in their exchange policy that an item can be exchanged without a receipt within 90 days which it was within the time frame. Called this store back and spoke to jhonnie AGAIN and even read her their return policy and told her i spoke to a different store manager and they said i could exchange it. she said that is not what SHE was told in training and still refused the exchange. called consumer affairs and they said she clearly did not understand their "same day exchange" policy which simply means you CAN exchange an item with no receipt as long as it is exchanged that "SAME DAY" you go in the store. it does NOT mean the day you buy/receive the item. like girl its not that big of a deal, you could have just done a simple exchange instead of making a customer do all this for an employee to understand simple policies. at least this review will help other customers who have a question about no receipt exhanges/returns. read more

I love coming here to just mosey around and waste my time and spend my dough for my daughter. Jk. I really like coming to Carter's for kids clothing as the quality is pretty good and you can sometimes score pretty good deals on clothes here. There's an abundance is size and variety available. The great think about this location is they have an Osh Cosh right next door and they are connected so you don't even have to walk outside. There is also a bathroom and a baby changing station available. Although I wished the changing station was more covered bc you never know if there is a pedophile lurking around the corner. Thank goodness this location is far from where I live bc I'd be one broke mom if it was any closer. I probably buy the whole store and would be her every weekend. I went in last week to get some clothing items for my niece. I asked a sweet young lady by the name of Kayla who was so very helpful and kind. I asked her about the sizing since I have never shopped for kids before. She went out of her way, even though I knew she was doing something, and found me the right size in the item I wanted. Now when I went to check out I got rung up by a cashier named Samantha. I was standing there for a couple minutes waiting for her to say are you ready to check out. She was tagging some items and completely ignored the fact that I was there. She finally decided to help me I guess when it was convenient for her... She did not say sorry for the wait and did not greet me with a "hello" or "did you find everything okay?" I work in customer service and I know better to treat customers with good service and friendliness. Samantha did not have any of that. And by looking at the comments from other shoppers who have encountered this rude woman.. should show the managers and supervisors that she's the problem of this whole store. I work for Carter's so my opinon is a little biased. I came here with BFF and her cute baby so I can buy her some goodies! The store is packed but I was able to wrangle the stroller everywhere, and I had no practice! But it is filled to the gills with fixtures and not in an outlet kinda way! As her mama picked out cute outfits I noticed a majority of the stock onhand is the same as Macy's, Kohl's, JCP and BRU stock. The prices here are defintely cheaper than the department stores and you are most likely to find your size here and get better customer service!! They have basics, seasonal fashion and accessories. Sign up online for the newletter and they will send you coupons for extra off their already low prices. Can't go wrong with Carter's. The sales staff was friendly but no help needed everything was out on the selling floor. So even without my discount it was a great deal! I'm getting a little teary-eyed as I type this because the thought of buying new clothes for my little means she's getting bigger. And she's not my little baby anymore. Woe is me... ...ok, I'm back. This store is one of my favorites, and has been since I was pregnant (with my little angel, she's so sweet). I find Carter's clothes to be of good quality and they're adorable. The clothes are on color trend and the seasonal roll outs are complementary without being matchy. The same items I see at Macy's are usually at this store as well (and at better prices so I can buy more). The onesies are the best prices you'll find anywhere (my personal favorite are the muscly tee onesies - she looks so cute in them). The customer service is usually quite good. There's a SARS-y kids table in the middle of the store that bums me out. There's another, wisely placed, counter mounted kids toy that is genius (but still SARS-y); it gives me just enough time to pay so I just wipe her down after we leave. read more

I shop here ALL the time. They're usually always running really good sales and the employees are pretty friendly! However for being a children's store and parents coming in with strollers, it could be more stroller friendly. It's pretty hard to navigate unless you have a rinky dink stroller. read more

I wish we had a better carters here. The one in alameda is so much better. Today was a horrible experience. They had limited stock on 18 month and seriously no pants! Like nothing but shirts but the bottoms selection was sparse and not cute. I found a few good things and I get in line. I'm waiting for 15 minutes, meanwhile 3 other associates are standing talking to each other and one associate walks into me and doesnt say anything! Lol. Like okay that just happened. So I'm still waiting and this lady is busyy talking the customer forever. Like to the point where my son starts crying and finally Debbie comes over and starts to assist. At first she seemed nice but then she gets this weird attitude with me when I showed here our coupon that I was emailed and she goes "I've never seen those! Omg what is that??" Making a huge ass scene. Like idk debbie your company emailed it to me so I'm assuming you would know what it is! She doesnt even try to scan it and lies saying she did but she didnt. It was clear she didnt care and then starts talking crap about leaving more work for the manager with the colleague who is STILL assisting this customer and nothing is even going on and theres a line of people. Just when I thought I was at a loss to find my 14month old shoes because he has chunky feet, I decided to give Carter's a try after many different stores. The employee named Nicole I believe was her name was so helpful, and very patient with us. Because she was so helpful we were able to find 2 pairs of shoes that fit him perfectly! I get great clothes here for my kids. They have very cute children's clothes that are sometimes pricey but they always give you coupons for 20% to 25% off everything you buy. Also, they do this thing where if you spend $50 on clothes you'll get $10 back to spend the next day. What a great idea CARTERS! This keeps me coming back to your store over and over again. But you MUST remember also that if you get close to $50 that you have to spend more than $50 even after using your 20% or 25% coupon to get the $10. It can't be $49.90. Last time I came here I spent $89. The cashier just rung me up a $10 gift receipt. I missed getting $20 worth of gift receipt by $11! What a waste! So I went back in and got another $13 worth of stuff to add into my purchase to get the $20 gift receipt. Sometimes the workers won't tell you that you missed getting another $10 by this much. Oh and my son always like coming in here because there's a table with puzzles and building blocks to play with to keep him occupied while I shop. I enjoy Carter's selection and always visit the store when I happen to drive out to Vacaville. However, when I went this past Friday (8/23/2013), I left with a sour taste in my mouth. I picked out several outfits for my boys and when I went to the cashier, she (employee named Emily) acted as if I was ruining her social time! She was inherently bothered that I informed her that my address (for their rewards program) was no longer correct. When I told her that she spelled Vallejo wrong, she practically rolled her eyes! I like this store, they have good prices and it's always well organized. Probably the only thing I would say that is a negative, is that there is never anyone at the counter when I'm ready to check out. I always have to wait for someone because they tend to hang out in the middle of the store talking to each other. This was my first time in this location. Overall the service was good everyone said hello and even tried to chit chat with me and my daughter. What truly bothered me was that in the middle of the pouring rain they had racks of clothes outside and a young man accompaning them you could tell he was cold and upset. As I was leaving he was informing a young lady that he was in fact cold and she apologized to him but made him stay out there. I dont understand this one bit.
