I've since had the floors refinished by a different company to fix these problems. I received quote from 3 different people, and they all said that it appears that Perfect Floors didn't seal the floor before adding the Polyurethane top coats. This needs to be done with a stain or natural color sealant or else you get the problems I posted in my photos. When they mentioned that I realized that they were right, I don't remember the Perfect Floors guy doing a sealant coat. So that was several thousand dollars of my money wasted because of their error. And no one from Perfect Floors has ever contacted me to make it right. read more

He was very reasonable on pricing - and if I found the wood flooring cheaper on the internet, then that is where he would buy it = NO MARK UP on materials. I LOVE that! After obtaining several bids from various sources, we had Chad from Perfect Floors out, having been referred by the people at Floor & Decor. We liked what we saw and were told. and contracted with them to do the work. They did an amazing job. We could not be happier. Their workers were meticulous in their work. We had tile installed in the "versaille" pattern, and it came out beautifully. Two installers did the job, both with a computer printout of the pattern - the floors look incredible. I highly recommend this company for tile installation - they showed up when they were supposed to, worked hard, were trustworthy, very friendly, and cleaned up after themselves. I wanted to update the flooring in my house and had Perfect Floors recommended to me by Jim at The Carpet Stop. I had three companies provide bids, and the guys from Perfect Floors came in the middle. I chose them because I thought their bid was reasonable for the work that they thought it would take to complete the project to my expectations. They did not try to low-ball the project only to leave me wanting better results; they listened to what I wanted, and gave me a competitive bid. Everyone was on time and showed up when I expected them and they left at when I expected as well (worked a full day, but not until late at night when I was ready to have my house back.) The finished product looks great, and matches what I communicated during the initial bid. Complaints: I had some tile removed and I wish the guys would have performed the seal-off a little differently. They spent all their time sealing off the windows to the area they were working in to remove the tile. The doorways to the bedrooms and hallways were mostly sealed. What did not make sense to me was where did they think the tile dust was going to go? All the windows were closed, and the hallways and doors to the bedrooms were the least well protected. Knowing what I know now, I would suggest completely sealing the doors and halls and leave the windows open so the dust would go out the windows, not into the house. There was a little grout on the baseboards that I wiped up after the installer left. He did specifically ask me to perform a walk-through, and I agreed that the work was as expected. It was my fault for not more carefully evaluating the baseboards, but he could have done a better job with site clean up. Overall, highly satisfied with the work, and I will use Perfect Floors for future work, and recommend them to my friends who need flooring work. read more

I just had 900 square feet of engineered flooring installed by this company. After receiving their bid, which was very competitive, the specific material I wanted was out-of-stock. It was about 3 months later before the project could actually be scheduled, and this was not a problem for them. Angel and Francisco arrived on a Monday and by that Thursday the entire job was completed perfectly. Angel even spent most of one day hand matching stair material, including material that was milled as stairnose to match the flooring. It is perfect! Very professional, very responsible and cleaned up every piece of mess created. Fransico even swept the saw dust off of the front walkway before they left. I highly recommend this company. read more

We used Perfect Floors at the suggestion of the folks at Floor and Decor Outlet. One bonus was their quickness in having our work scheduled. We had a window of about a week to get our solid hardwoods installed before we started moving into our home. They delivered the materials in time and finished the work they could complete one day early. The only reason it wasn't totally finished was because Floor and Decor had to special order some T-molding to match the wood we'd chosen. That came in about a week later, and Vanessa had a guy come back and finish that up at our convenience. I'm not sure how soon we'll need a flooring company again, but I'll be sure to give them a call. For what it's worth, I never really had a problem getting in touch with anyone. read more

I had a horrible experience with Perfect Floors! They did not order all that I needed to get my floors done and I kept having to "special" order supplies that I needed to get the job done. They measured incorrectly and order too much and I could not return the extra supplies that were ordered. It took about 6 months to get my floors completed. To top it off my mother had them install flooring around the same time and they put concrete down her toilet, instead of the trash, which ended up backing up her septic system and flooding her whole house!.....But they are very quick and aggressive in calling for their money to be paid after the long and drawn out mistakes that they make:/ Very poor customer service as well, they hardly answer the phone. These guys were hired by our contractor, but we were so disappointed in the work. For a company who calls themselves "perfect" they sure did mess up a fairly simple tiling job. The floors are uneven, they put in a broken tile, even though we had plenty of leftover tiles, and worst of all, the grout is already falling out of the shower 2 weeks later! They also left a messy worksite, dumping their leftover mastic in our yard. read more

Terrible experience never do business with them. First crew was called off the job because they were not going to take up the flooring thin set that was used to lay ceramic tile they were just going to lay wood over that!! Lots of damage from the second crew installed a towlet with no bolts screwed down and crooked. Damaged cabinets in utility room moving washer and dryer, put back moulding with decking screws broke molding. They installed t moulding that made me trip going go a room looked like the 70's very big and tall moulding going to bedrooms. Constant calling and emails while I was trying to get these problems fixed on my own. I am trying to run a business while all this is going on. Good luck never again. read more

Terrible, My floors are less than perfect, highly disappointing. I had more than half of the house done and the floor is uneven! I had hired them to do my floors and back splashes through out the house! They ran out of floor tile in my bathroom because they didn't do a mirror image of what i had before and decided to use the back splash tile to finish, its the same product, but a different color. so that had to be ripped out and i had to buy more flooring which was a customer order and very expensive. Then they used the wrong color grout. They damaged all the base boards and door jams in the house. They ruined the tubs by setting the toilets in them and they got rusted, they attempted to scrub it out only to damage the tub more, so we had to have it resurfaced, They did a terrible job replacing the shoe molding, which we had to pay for, yes they did come back to repair everything and tried to right there wrongs, but how about just taking the time to do it right in the first place. worst remodel ever. I fired them before the back splashes were to be installed, they did a crap job hanging the backer for the new backslash so i had to hire someone else to fix it first. I just didn't trust them with my materials, as they were very expensive and custom order, this was supposed to be my dream home, We still have stuff that needs to be repaired from there carelessness, but just don't have the money to do it...Don't waste your money or time...and they never ever work a full day. I just moved to Austin/Cedar Park Area. I needed flooring for the upstairs and stairs in my condo. I was referred to Chad with Floor and Decor. He was very helpful, prompt with his bid, and even found some discounts on my bid. The installers came and did a very professional job. The stairs took 2 days but it was worth it. Overall, I am very pleased with their work, they cleaned each day so that there wasn't a lot of sawdust. I would recommend Perfect Floors to anyone interested in a quality job. They were able to act quickly and do the flooring the day after I closed on my condo. I wanted the job done before I moved in and Perfect Floors Inc. did just that! Update: Last year I wrote a review after having some issues with getting my floor fixed by Perfect Floors. Well, I am happy to say the problem ended up getting fixed. I was contacted by Chad Tafs about 9 months after I had given up on getting my floor repaired and he was very apologetic that my problem was not taken care of initially. He was over at our house very quickly after that contact to help solve the issue with our sliding board. After seeing our floor, he said it was an easy fix and I had two of his co-workers over to work on the floor within a couple of days. I am happy to report, our floor is now fixed! While I still don't like the way the ball was dropped last year, I greatly appreciate the follow-through of Chad to help resolve this issue and how quickly it was taken care of once the mistake was identified. They get huge points in my book for correcting this issue. read more

Do Not Use This Company. They didn't put a moisture barrier down on the concrete substrate before putting down a layer of plywood and the hardwood floor which is now causing moisture to seep through both the plywood and the hardwood floor causing darkening of the flooring and water bubbles to surface. Hardwood is now coming loose from the plywood. I had a certified floor inspector inspect the flooring and installation and his report states that installation should never have been done the way Manny did it. Manny says since it's past his 2 year warranty, he has no liability. The fact that his installation was not up to industry standards to begin with is proof that they don't know what they're doing and they should be held liable. Worst job ever. They cut end pieces less than 1/2 in length. Their finish work around the edges was the worst. Manny told me he's not going to do anything about it so I'm going to have to file suit. Do not use Perfect Floors for any installation. read more
