Great spot for breakfast in an area that is extremely limited with the options they have here. You order at the counter and they bring your food. Prices are super reasonable and the food couldnt get any fresher! We tried bagels, hash, homefries, waffles and cold brew. They have so many amazing homemade flavors of cream cheese to choose from. I am not sure why this is rated a 3.9 on Yelp. We love our little places as we travel across the country in our RV. This is one of the best breakfast I've had in a while. I had the big Poppi and the Home fries and my wife had the spring zing. The bagels were sensational and the big Poppy has pastrami on it. OMG! Some of the best pastrami I've ever had. I was so excited to try this after reading google reviews, but this was the most disappointing meal of our trip to Jim Thorpe. To say the food was tasteless is an understatement. I ordered the Glen, and it seemed like they forgot the salt (or any flavor, really), and the avocado wasn't even ripe. The rest of my family felt the same way about their food as well. Whoops. Yet another review where we ate everything before we could get a picture. This has got to be the best local breakfast spot. We got the Cali on a wrap, pork roll on Portuguese roll, everything bagel with pickle cream cheese and the tree hugger hash. Everything was absolute fire. The potatoes are local fyi and super crunchy. I would 10/10 recommend coming here before taking the LeHigh scenic rail. It's just a mile up the road and so worth it. read more

So we came here twice in one day cause the breakfast was soooo good. For breakfast my wife and I got the Burner which was a jalapeño bagel with eggs and pepper jack cheese and andouille sausages and my wife got some bagel with loads of pastrami.. we also got the Hunter's Hash which was awesome. Not sure why this place doesn't have 5 stars. My friends and I stopped by for a quick brunch before going to Jim Thorpe to hike. It's a cute restaurant on the side of the road and it's huge. There's a big outdoor seating and plenty of tables inside as well. When we came on a Saturday it was extremely packed and they were running out of bagels. Regardless, the service was nice and the food came out quick! I highly recommend the lox bagel. I would say it is comparable to New York style bagels. The sandwich was thick, stuffed, and they did not skimp on the cream cheese and smoked salmon. It was an incredibly delicious sandwich and most importantly, affordable (I think it was about $9). I would also get the home fries to share. They came out hot and perfectly cooked; crispy on the outside and soft inside. If you're coming into Jim Thorpe, I would definitely make a stop here. read more

I've tried 5 kinds and they are all bland and almost tasteless, not at all sweet. Maybe that's the point but should be labeled as health conscious and less or no-sugar if that's the case. This is our new go-to for breakfast when we are at our place in Jim Thorpe! The space isn't very large, but it is decorated beautifully and gives off fantastic mid century vibes! The staff were all friendly, and the service was very prompt. I ordered a smoothie, which was great. They have a great selection of baked goods to grab and go, and the mini cinnamon rolls were fantastic. I can't wait to try their bagels next time because they looked amazing!! Chris and Courtney have outdone themselves with his down to earth, from the heart, restaurant. From the time we gave our order, we realized this was a special restaurant. My wife and I both ordered eggs omelette with avocado cheese and bacon with a side of hash brown potatoes. Oh my gosh, what a meal.., everything was done to perfection and the icing on the cake was getting to meet the restaurant owners, Courtney and Chris. By the way, the portions were unbelievable. They're beautiful people who have created this great eating establishment that should be the benchmark of all restaurants to follow. Their attention to detail, their desire for their customers to have a positive experience is something that is rare today! The chairs were disheveled with crumbs left on multiple tables despite two workers wiping down the coffee bar, they never made it over to the dirty tables. Ordered 4 items off of the menu, all were 10/10. Blueberry cobbler coffee had great flavor, Iced Elderberry Chai was wonderful. I got a Turkey BLT wrap which had perfect ratios of meat and vegetables. Beware- $3 charge for tortilla wrap which I thought was a little odd. Prices are fair, especially for the area. Quick service, diner-like atmosphere with a decent amount of seating. Located on the side of the highway with a decent amount of parking as well. If you're in a pinch and looking for a breakfast spot, you will most likely be able to find parking and be able to sit fairly quickly compared to other spots in the area (they have a patio outside that is covered with more seating). People are friendly and food comes out hot and quick. Everything was pretty good! What you would want in a standard breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and rye toast. I wasn't a fan of the butter they used on my toast. The toast was warm, but the butter didn't really melt and it had an oily texture...seemed like some kind of fake butter. Bacon was very crispy and flavorful. Everyone else enjoyed their food. Great stop along the highway for sure. read more

Yet the staff (who were very polite) seemed busy so I don't want to blame them, so possibly something with how the business is run makes this inefficient. And the bagels were flavorless. My husband ordered iced coffee and he took a couple sips and had to get coffee from Dunkin. My husband didn't want me to leave this review bc he's kind hearted but it is not kind to waste our time in this manner. experience made us very disappointed. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service! Staff is really rude. Came in to ask if dogs are ok to come inside and she told me no, which is fine. We took him to the outside seating on the side. Came in to order and the girl that told me no dogs allowed inside was happily petting a dog that came in and didn't say anything to them about taking their dog out... ok fine whatever kinda annoying but moving on. I ordered and told them for here and they asked where we were sitting. About 25 minutes later I asked about my food since the people that ordered ahead of me were done eating after having their food brought outside to them. Came back in to ask and they handed me a bag with the food sitting for a while. I asked why it's in a bag when we wanted dine in. The short blonde girl that told me no dogs allowed inside looked me dead in the face and said just eat it out of the bag. No attempt to apologize or remedy the situation. She didn't feel remotely bad about the wait or that it was their bad. Beyond that, the food is basic. Not the best food I've ever eaten by any means. Definitely not coming back read more

Super cute breakfast spot that's off the side of the street with plenty of parking + seating. On my way back to New York I was hungry and found this place on Yelp. They have an order at the counter and then find a seat type of ordering. I got the Hunter hash, lazy boy and OG + two ice coffees to share with my bf. The Hunter hash was so good and well seasoned, portion was generous! My bf got his bagels on a French toast bagel and that was very tasty. I am amazed at the amount of bagels and cream cheese they got here! The prices here are extremely affordable and I will miss these prices in NYC. The patio was clean and there was a lot of seating on a Sunday afternoon! The workers were also very kind and got our food to us quickly. read more

Although I'm up in Jim Thorpe a few times a year, I'd never been to Perch. But NOW, it's mandatory. Staff? Friendly, chatty, knowledgeable, and fun. We did observe a customer who'd been "waiting for 40 minutes" but we definitely heard their name being called multiple times, so not sure what's going on there. Food? Delicious... french toast bagel with funfetti cream cheese -- I SWOON. Hash browns were incredible... best I've ever had tbh. The menu is inventive and extensive. My bagel sandwich was delicious, and seasonal parfait was good, and the roasted garlic cream cheese I took home did not last long. The only thing we weren't superfans about was the iced coffee. We did mention this to the staff and found that they were aware of it and working on a fix for their brewing machines. There is some seating indoors but the shaded patio is beautiful and well worth it. Someone really knows what they're doing with the planter boxes. Everything was beautiful, clean, and spacious. While spending the weekend in Jim Thorpe my family ordered a half a dozen bagels from Perch. Being from NJ, bagels are something that are made well, so I tried evaluating these on a curve. Overall, these bagels were tolerable, but no one was heavily impressed. (No one got any bagel sandwiches or anything, which I feel may have altered our experience in a more positive way.) i would highly suggest calling ahead or ordering ahead online, as this place gets busy! We called ahead and the staff was incredibly friendly on the phone and in person. Please be aware the shop can be easily passed by due to its location. Pros: reasonably priced and a wide variety of bagels Cons: The bagels overall are not that great Overall, it's just okay. We would be willing to have them again, but we'd most likely get bagel sandwiches moving forward. read more

The blonde woman who seemed to be manager was EXTREMELY rude to my girlfriend and I. Unsure of this interaction was triggered by bigotry or just a nasty attitude. I was visiting from out of town and am fitness oriented and track my macros. I ordered a bagel for my girlfriend and potatoes to mix with my meal prep and kindly asked if they could simply microwave my meal prep (sealed in its container, it was tofu scramble I am also vegan). The nice brunette agreed after taking my order but was then reprimanded by the blonde and told not to heat up my food. I should have cancelled my order and left but I just took my things to go. I was all set up and ready to do some work on my laptop. Too bad. I've been to plenty of coffee shops in New Jersey and baristas are always happy to heat up my food for me as I always order food and coffee from their establishment as well, it's just an add on to make sure I hit my protein goals. read more

The Perch is a great place for breakfast and has a nice recently renovated interior which looks great. I always get the chia seed pudding and a bagel with the flavored cream cheese both of which are filling and yummy! There is a long wait on the weekends and most mornings so I usually order online but the wait is worth it for the various bagel types and cream cheese flavors. read more
