This place is amazing. Seriously the best simple, homey, crave-worthy breakfast food I've had in a really long time. We randomly found this way on the way out of a stay in Jim Thorpe and this place is the place to beat! Service was fast, friendly, delicious, and incredibly priced for what we got. They threw in a bunch of extra food for no reason because we had a big family maybe? I want to go back to here. We ordered everything and you can't go wrong with anything. read more

Krispy Krunchy Chicken - Delicious - Chicken Shop Near Me - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania

My wife and I had lunch here on October 14 We ordered four chicken wings, one chicken breast, an order of fries, and a couple of soft drinks to split between us. We were informed that in spite of what the menu you said they no longer were offering fried chicken breasts only chicken tenders. So we changed our breast order to three chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were excellent and the coating was exactly as advertised, "crunchy." The four chicken wings were disappointing... coating wasn't crunchy, and it was hardly even crisp. I kind of think maybe that they had been sitting in the warming tray area, for a long time, softened up, and lost their crunch. The potatoes slices were excellent with very crispy nice crust, skins were left on, and the inside was nice and moist. They did not have the Diet Coke that I requested, they were out of it, but they have Diet Pepsi. All in all... Our luncheon experience could've been a little better... But it was good enough that we would dine there again if we are in Jim Thorpe. read more

What a lovely experience! I found this little gem by accident, and let me tell you, it was a great find. Lovely staff, clean restrooms, and fantastic food. Had the eggs benedict, coffee, and a water. Very affordable. Utterly delicious. The ham on the Benedict was thick, and tasted incredible. The breakfast potatoes were perfectly cooked and crispy. 10/10. Will definitely be back. read more

Had our first fried chicken meal last week at Bob's.. OUTSTANDING! We give it a 9.4! ALL the sides were OUTSTANDING as well. The only issue we had at all, was not being accustomed to the slightly spicy chicken. The store did have a shortage due to covid and not having enough to sell. CALL AHEAD!!! Well worth the travel if your within an hour of him Thorpe. Even better than KFC! I really am not aware of any franchise selling better chicken right now. Wayne Brunner Lehighton, PA. read more

A few years ago, my friends and I took a day trip to Jim Thorpe, and stopped at Bob's Restaraunt for lunch. It's a little off the beaten path (that is to say, not really in the tourist-y area of Jim Thorpe), and it really doesn't look like much from the street, or even once you get inside, but my friends and I were HIGHLY impressed by the food at Bob's, and the service! This was such a quirky little find; quite literally the other half of a convenience store, coffee served in the most random mugs imaginable, like a collection of mugs from garage sales, sandwiches with names like the "Fat Drunk Sandwich", etc etc. I got a breakfast sandwich and home fries, and to this day, I still think about how amazing that food was. On top of all this, our waitress was very personable and attentive. Overall a great experience! read more

They serve brunch and don't forget to ask the chicken menu. The waitresses was very friendly. We ordered chicken tenders and wings. They are all super good! There was only one cook and the chicken was freshly made served right fr. Both the kid and us like their food. We will definitely come back if we ever visit Jim Thorpe again. read more

Wife and I were visiting family in the Jim Thorpe area. Being from CA we don't see many (or any) local, home grown, local hangout type diners. This stop for us was exactly what we were looking for. The locals are all friendly - the food was exactly what you'd expect - great food and lots of it. I had the #1 special for breakfast - for $3 I got 2 plates of food and was absolutely satisfied when we were done. All the 'locals' knew each other and were greeting one another from table to table. Something you sure don't see at all anymore in large cities from our experience. Would we return? We sure would... this is the type of place that makes you want to feel part of the 'family'. read more

We saw the reviews on Yelp and decided to go here for breakfast. After looking over the menu and eating the food, it was obvious the good ratings did not come from their breakfast offerings. We would not eat breakfast here again, but if you want a below average diner breakfast, this is the place. read more

Zero stars, really! I just went there and ordered two pieces of chicken. They put it in a bag but no one was wearing masks. I asked if this was a no-mask establishment and the owner, a young man with a short haircut, said they wore masks but not today. I met him at the cash register and was going to pay when he made another joke about the masks which I did not think was funny and decided not to pay. He told me I had to pay and followed me outside and challenged me to a fight, grabbing his crotch and knocking on the glass of my car window with his ring. DO NOT EAT HERE! read more

Great Food, Accommodating. We showed up after the grill had been shut down, and they started everything up to serve us. Friendly waitress. Super food. Blueberry pancakes were my favorite and world class. Worth a visit. read more

Best darn chicken in Jim Thorpe. I eat here when ever I can. Friendly service in nice local place

My friend and I crossed the bridge to seek out this restaurant based on the great reviews. Big mistake! Maybe breakfast would have been a better choice for our lunches... Our hamburgers weren't bad, but nothing exceptional, as anticipated; however, the buns were toasted and very good. Couldn't get fries with our meal because the fryer went down "yesterday", but by the looks of the thing it's been down quite a while; furthermore, you don't scratch out the word "fries"on all of your menus if it's just gone down the day before... Service was poor, even though we were the only customers. Won't cross the bridge to go back there again! read more

Family was in from outta town and with the holiday rush...we called in a large breakfast order. Everything was perfect. Everything was ready when we were told it would be. Portions were huge. Price was cheap. Flavor was yummo! Next to a home cooked meal....this is the next best thing. read more
