The bathroom is disgusting. The tables were OK just a little dirty but nothing I can't Clorox wipe myself. All the food was heavy on carbs, but the chicken tenders were delicious. The chicken in the sandwiches was also delicious. They definitely got the chicken down before the price of everything including like fries, mac & cheese... Everything was just very heavy on carbs. I happened upon big chicken while shopping and omg it was delicious. While it is a bit pricey, in my opinion it was worth it! The chicken was well seasoned and fried to perfection. Been wanting to try this place for a year at the Poconos Premium Outlets. It's definitely better than the food court options and sitting outside in the cold for the food trucks. As the title suggests, this place is known for their fried chicken! My mom, niece and I shared a big chicken sandwich combo which comes with the chicken sandwich, fries, and a large drink as well as a kids popcorn chicken combo which comes with a cup of popcorn chicken and fries as well as a small drink. They also have their house sauce which reminds me of the Chick-Fil-A sauce. The fun part are the drinks! For the kids cup, I mixed their most popular lemonade with their sweet tea and it was delicious! And for the large cup, I mixed their root beer and cream soda which is made locally. The chicken is crispy and flavorful. Don't be afraid to use your hands as there are paper towels on each table and two restrooms if you need to wash your hands. We stopped by this outlet mall actually to charge our car and wanted to get some lunch. The food court looked dismal. We saw big chicken and decided to try it based on the reviews. I had no idea this was the fast food chain owned by Shaquille O'Neal. There are fried chicken sandwiches, tenders, and salads. I got the classic fried chicken sandwich and we shared some fries. We also got a strawberry lemonade. The chicken sandwich was good, it's actually a folded piece of thin chicken breast that's been brined really well. The flavor of the chicken was tasty and it was moist from being brined. The french fries were good, they almost had a seasoning like lays potato chips. The star is really the strawberry lemonade, it was delicious and perfect. I might not seek out in the future, but it seems like a trusty and busy location at this outlet mall. read more

Let me start by saying I have no idea what the 1 and 2 star reviews are talking about. Maybe they went right when they opened and were crazy busy or something but those people don't have tastebuds Got a chance to stop in and check out Shaq's Big Chicken at the Crossings in Tannersville. I'm not big on chains but I love that Shaq does a lot for charity and a lot for children in need. It doesn't hurt that this chicken is very good. A little more expensive than a chic fil A or Popeyes but imo worth it. Nice seasoning and cook on the chicken, quite juicy in the center and crisp on the outside. The Mac and cheese alone was very tasty but I'd order it next time without the crushed cheese it's topping or whatever that was haha, it doesn't need it. I got a chicken sandwich meal and my son got a 5 piece tenders meal (they were large tenders too) with a side and a drink each and it came to around $33. I'm not even mad about it. Took the kiddos to BIG Chicken for lunch. It was our first time at this franchise. My young teens enjoyed the food, visiting Shaquille O'Neals restaurant, reading fun facts about him and they liked the food. The group favorite was the chicken tenders and the original chicken sandwich. They also liked the shake, mini is a good size. I read some of the other reviews, this wasn't our experience. For fast food, the meal was fresh, the tenders soft, Mac/cheese was good and so was the service. I will share that the place wasn't packed at the time and the lines were manageable. Let me begin with the service was great. The eatery wasn't full at all, and the employee at the register talked me thru the sandwiches when I said I was a first-timer. My meal was: Jerome's Nashville Hot XXXhot meal - the sandwich was great. The chicken patty itself was a bit thin but was good none the less and with some of their BBQ spicy Chipotle sauce, it brought it together. The Ultimate meal - was delicious and filling, but I'd say some lettuce is a good ad to break the oil a bit if you don't like alot of oil flavor. Popcorn chicken kids meal - my son loved it, and the popcorn chicken was HUGE. I honestly thought they gave me tenders until I saw the menu online. Service - 5 Stars Food - 3.5 Stars good fast food option Ambiance - 4 Stars the restaurant was a typical Premium Outlet Mall vibe but lively. Overall - I give this establishment 4 stars. I really wanted to like this place. Ever since I heard it was opening, I planned to go. Finally did this past Saturday and let me say that grossly disappointed is an understatement. The person working the cash register was right off the bat nasty. I had questions. First timer. He wasn't having any of it. Onto the food. I ordered the bigger popcorn chicken with fries for me and my wife to share. Oh, and it cost over $17 for this overrated kids meal. The chicken had NO FLAVOR whatsoever. The only flavor you got was dunking it copiously into the sauces you can order. BTW, the big chicken sauce is just Chik-fil-a sauce. Just saying. The chicken was also rubbery, it was the consistency of eating fried calamari. It was literally disgusting. I was having a feeling it might've been undercooked. Those feelings came to light later in the day, by the means of stomach pains, diarrhea, etc. for both my wife and I. The fries were ok. Salty, but ok. But that was about the only thing. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I'll stick with the other chicken places that are better and know what flavor is. Very sad that Shaq would attach his name to this disappointment. read more

We ordered the chicken finger meal. The chicken fingers were large, juicy, and had a fantastic batter. The batter taste to me like real fried chicken, not the old-fashioned, breadcrumb coated chicken fingers. The french fries were very unique. They were flat, but still maintained a crispy outside and a soft inside. I got an Oreo milkshake which was great. I also got a salted caramel milkshake. That was good. Here's my Tannersville, PA Big Chicken review from tonite. We stopped by The Crossings to look for sneakers and walked around the whole perimeter and after New Balance store we saw the Big Chicken next door. The dining room was half full, a few folks in line and we decided to give it a go. One Mac & cheese fried chicken sandwich with those awesome flat fries and a drink, a chicken club, an oreo shake and a peanut butter shake with tip $50. The shakes were over the top awesome. Very thick and lots of flavor. The fried chicken sandwich with Mac & cheese (not sure of name) was good and satisfying. My chicken club was pounded so thin so that it cooked through, the romaine has saturated the grease and bacon pieces were there but both sandwich buns were stale. If anybody knows that Brioche is baked with so much butter that they stay soft for dayyyys and yet these were over old. And the bread practically makes the sandwich. So, disappointed in that respect. It was a nice gesture that TY, the manager, stopped by every table to ask folks how the food was and the staff behind the counter were hustling throughout. I rate the food 7/10. Service 10/10. We were really excited about trying this place out but weren't too impressed. The Shaq Attack was very spicy and really filling. The tenders, Big & Sloppy, and sweet potato fries were ok. The French fries were just not good and thrown out. Milkshakes were banging though. As far as the Tannersville location: sure, the paper towel rolls on the tables were cool but there was no baby changing table in the bathroom which was a real bummer.
