I first visited back in late March. We were visiting the area and found this place on Yelp. It is attached to a spa, which is really cool but unfortunately we have not had time to try it out. Our party of 5 adults and 1 baby came for brunch. The service and drinks were ok. The food as very good. The Chicken Cranberry Croissant (toasted croissant with pulled chicken and cranberry salad with arugula salad) was our favorite. I've come back while driving through just for that chicken sandwich. Unfortunately we were traveling with it and I asked them to separate all the items for us and they did not. Would have been nice to reconstruct it ourselves and not have a soggy sandwich when we got to our destination. Much better to eat immediately so make sure you do that. I would have to say space is limited and the placement of the furniture makes it hard to dine in. It was very interesting because there were parties smaller than us and they all seemed cramped as well. We sat at the corner table right when you walk in on the left, we all had to sit on the bench because the circular table in the middle of the space blocked us from sitting on the other side of our table. It was very awkward because it was hard for our party to get out and the other table was full and wasn't being helpful by scooching a bit haha. I would recommend the food here but only if you're in a small party and looking for a quick bite. read more

Interesting spot - nestled before an Knob Cres and sharing space with Magnolia (a wellness center); there's parking to the side and outdoor seating areas. Small but cute inside with seating. Service was paced well and friendly. Sausage egg cheese croissant 9/10 Nutella banana croissant 8/10 Almond croissant with banana 7/10 Chicken cranberry croissant 8/10 Ice French latte 9/10 (too sweet and a bit pricey $7) The croissant items came with a small salad in the containers - the salad 10/10 was fresh and the vinaigrette they used was great. They charge a 3% credit card fee vs cash payment. read more

I found myself around the Pocono's on a mid Sunday morning in August. Looking for coffee & sustenance, I came across The Mug Cafe. The cafe itself is inside a building that shares with a wellness spa. The cafe itself has nice aesthetics, but is on the small side. They were playing classical music to add to the ambience, which IMO was a couple of notches too loud for a small space. There was seating for around 14-16 people, however, you would be sat VERY close to your neighbors. The seating arrangements, plus people lining up for orders makes it cramped. There is seating outside, but it was in the 90's & humid, hence I was not about to sit out there. I ordered a sweet orange latte, which tasted wonderful, 10/10. The bacon quiche on the other hand was too salty for my liking. The pastry was good, the filling was ok, I've had better tasting quiches though. There were about 3 staff & yes the cafe was a little busy, which meant a wait for all customers. It took around 15 minutes to get my order, the server was very polite when she brought my food & drink. So, for the cramped conditions, louder than needs to be music & salty quiche, I'm only giving 4 stars. read more

Hidden Gem in the Poconos. There has been an explosion of various eateries in Poconos since the Pandemic but very few of high quality coffee and pastries. There is maybe a couple of those in the general area but I like this one more. They have excellent coffee, macarons, cannoli, cakes and I think that the location just off 611 in Mount Pocono helps as well. They also have food on the menu which I would love to have again. The cafe is small and intimate which is great and it is located inside the building with a spa so if coffee and pastries are not your thing maybe some treatments will be. Service is wonderful as it is run by a husband and wife team. Can't wait for the summer when they have an outdoor setting as well. read more

Very cute place with an adorable inside sitting area and they also have an outdoor seating area. With lots of different kinds of coffee (matcha, mushroom etc) They also have some food to eat. Very busy place but worth the wait. Staff was very nice and friendly. read more

Stumbled upon this place when I was searching for some caffeine while staying at the Poconos. First of all, loved the interior. Very serene like you would expect from something attached to a spa. So, it was nice to find such a lovely spot to have coffee and a bite. The latte and chicken salad sandwich were very good, but as another person mentioned, they are a bit on the pricier side. However, you do get a lot of choices for your drinks, like flavor shots or different types of milk, which is nice and flexible. And, the lady working there was super nice and patient. The place is a bit small, so it's not the best spot for a big group. During the warmer months, it would be good for big groups because they have outdoor seating, but inside is pretty small. It was pretty tight even trying to wait for one's turn to order or get in and out if people are ordering. I think since they just opened, they only had one person working, so it took quite awhile to get my order, but I was fine with that because I had time to spare. However, if you are a person who is in a rush, I'm not too sure your order will come out fast enough. It's more a slow-paced atmosphere here. This last part has nothing to do with the café, but I wish the person working there would've said something, but there was someone watching a show on her phone with the sound on. That was super rude and distracting and killed the mood of the café and it's experience. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

This is a cute little place! It's attached to a spa. It's kinda confusing...when you walk in it's to the left with glass doors, but it's pretty deep in so on first glance you don't see the cafe/food area. The signage could be better. The coffee itself it good! Pricey but normal for a cafe in this area. I wish they sold food. read more

Stopped in on a quiet afternoon before a doctors appointment. Walked in and didn't even get greeted. We ordered our food at the kiosk, still not greeted. Waited about 45 minutes with only 1 other person waiting for food, asked how much longer it would be and the response was ..." did you want this one or that one" because it wasn't even started . Scone was not tasty, smoothie the woman had to chisel away the freezer burnt ice lol. read more

What a delightful surprise for me! I would never have found this without their little MUG sign on the side of the hill on Knob Rd. that I drove by last Wednesday. Being the intellectual genius that I am, I deduced the MUG must be for coffee!!! ;-) So I decided to stop there on my way back from the recycling lot. It's only a short drive, 2 buildings up Knob Rd. It shares the building with Magnolia Wellness Center, which I plan to visit next trip. ( lots and lots of healthy service offerings... I'm intrigued). What a treat! This is nothing like anything else I've found here in the Tobyhanna area. I decided to stay for a light lunch. They have ample, healthy choices for food and a mouth watering lengthy list of Coffees, lattes, smoothies and freshly made desserts. My egg, cheese and sausage on toasted croissant was perfect, even a small side of arugula with compari tomatoes and excellent olive oil drizzle! The delicious mocha latte will not be the last one I enjoy there. The server/cook was especially friendly and helpful ( I apologize for forgetting her name... I know it was a pretty one that suited her personality). I so enjoyed my little breakfast break in sucha pleasant, creative and fun environment that I will be making The Mug one of my favorite stops! read more

Absolutely gorgeous and cozy cafe perfect for the area especially since there's nothing like it around. I've been meaning to try this place for a while, I finally decided to stop in and was not too excited about the food. I personally think it's overpriced for the area mostly and the portions. I didn't even get a drink. I enjoy taking pics of food and I didn't even take any of the food we ordered. Maybe I just expected more. Small café in a spa run by two beautiful ladies. Limited menu but the choices are well thought out. I had a caramel iced coffee latte with oat milk and it was delicious! I was pretty sad when I drank it as fast as I did. Of course I'm writing about the cafe but don't forget to check out the spa! Clearly the ladies know a thing or two about health care.
