An old staple of ours since childhood. Recently we've outgrown this franchise but after a solid 12 years of absence we shuffled through its doors with high expectations. Nostalgia was high, but right off the bat here are a few notes worth noting: Dark, Outdated machines The bathroom has a fidgeting passcode lock system that can be a nightmare to use when your fingers are all slimy and coated with sauce. And speaking of sauce, my GOD. The wings were absolutely drowned in it. Biggest mistake we made. The chicken was thoroughly overcooked, all you tasted was sugar syrup and a deep, fake BBQ flavor. My girlfriend was in the area and asked if I wanted anything, my husband and I have never been to this resturant, so we decided to have her pick us up wings with a hot sauce that came on the side with blue cheese and I ordered a chicken wrap. When she dropped it off, it was warm, since we live around 25 minutes away. Both items tasted good, we will need to go back and order and eat while the food it hot. read more

Solid chicken spot up in the mountains My group ordered about 80 wings our first night at shawnee and we all loved it. The save to wing ratio was perfect and the chicken was juicy. The infamous cluck u. This is my second experience with this franchise and it did not disappoint. The worker was very friendly and knowledgeable. I asked him what he recommends and he took his time to explain thoroughly all the choices and it's popularity. I do think he overstated the spiciness... I didn't get anything above hot because I was told that it was going to be a bad night for my stomach but... The hot wasn't that hot. I only regret not getting something spicier. The chicken was delicious. I loved all the flavors I got. I also ordered the largest order and it came out in no time which was a big plus. The store is pretty clean even though there was people running around everywhere even in 2am. I wish they had one of these back where I live. I recommend cluck u for sure read more

We stopped by here to pick up some chicken. We got 30 pieces and picked 6 sauces to try. (We ordered wings but ended up with tenders, such disappointment.) They had a large selection of beer too. Sauces we tried: - Teriyaki - too sweet. The food itself reminds me a lot of my favorite wing place back home. Be advised, when you order boneless wings, they're more like the size of strips. That's a great thing!!! The lemon pepper dry rub was a good choice. I like the choice of getting to have a beer with the wings, and the choices are plenty to choose from. If you're feeling froggy, order some powdered sugar biscuits for dessert. Those were good to finish it all off!!! So this place was delicious!!! The chicken was real! Lmaooo!! None of that breaded, mush that you get from the chicken spots here in the city. But, it was freshly prepared. Chicken was fried fresh, it was crispy, and seasoned perfectly. I prefer a three piece and the lovely people gave me more than that, clearly! Lol. The coleslaw to me was a little weird. A little too sweet, but still pretty good. I took off a star for that. The garlic Parmesan sauce was to die for! They need to bottle that up and sell it! I went pretty late also; maybe like 11:30pm. It was empty, and the food came out in a timely fashion. The customer service was amazing! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone in that area. You won't be disappointed. I've definitely grown to love Cluck U. Their wings are great, however I highly recommend the Chicken Parmesan sandwich! The bun tastes fresh, and is extremely soft and warm, and the whole sandwich tastes great. The cheese is melted and gooey. Overall, I give them five stars the environment is super clean. And not to mention they have a great beer selection. Everything you can think of is here. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quick meal fix. We do "wings & wine" most every Friday night and we often order from here. We've never had a bad experience and our food is always hot & tastes fresh. We usually order 10 wings each and we try 2-4 sauces, plus fries. I always order half of them "well done" and they've never gotten it wrong. I've been getting Cluck U for years. A LOT of things have changed in the last 8-12 months. Idk if it's an turnover in staff, or management, but it's gone down hill. The mini bites have been a staple in takeout food for me, and their buffalo fries are great; but the prices have risen and the quantity of food has gone down. They used to have tender Tuesday and mini bite Thursday but those are long gone. I just waited over 2 hours for a delivery order (I'm about 10 minutes away) and when it did finally get here and i opened everything up, they messed up my order. I will only ever order from them again when I'm desperate, I'm very disappointed. read more
