11/10/23 Of course since my cell phone service blows I couldn't do a check in when I was here at Antonio's. I've been to Jim Thorpe many times and have seen their pizza in the window. My friend and I were looking to find something fast because we had to keep feeding the damned parking meter- that's a whole other issue)! We decided on this little place- it's actually bigger than I expected and there is a dining room in the back. The dining room is old and run down so if you don't mind no frills - this is your place. We ordered a small pizza and it was savory and tasty. I do have a couple gripes though- our server never checked back with us after we got our food and the dining room wasn't crowded at all. The other gripe was no fountain drinks?? You have to order by the can and that equals no free refills. When you ask for water- you get bottled water- another upsell. The food was good, service was nice enough but no check back. I would go back though.

Everything from the food to the service and the environment was fantastic! *plain pizza emoji*

Easily some of the best pizza I've had in a while. The cheese and dough are so fresh. It's definitely a great place for some New York style pizza. Plus the business owner is extremely awesome! Please let this be the one restaurant you stop on by when visiting Jim Thorpe!

Pleasantly situated on Broadway, Antonio's seemed like a legit spot to get a slice, as evidenced by the neon sign and pies in the front window. I can only speak to the NY style pizza here, and it was good! Was greeted right away by cashier, ordered a couple of slices to go. Pretty tight at front of store, small kitchen, but seemingly efficient. Dine in area at rear. Slices were great-just the right amount of flop, slight crunch, sweet sauce, but not over sweet. Cheese was a bit heavy, but it was a good slice, came out quickly, and really hit the spot!

Pizza fries, pizza burger and "baked" hoagie

Food was not very good. I hate a couple bites of my hoagie but it was pretty bland same with fries no flavor. Sandwich was so dry my boyfriend took one bite and was turned off. Staff wasn't super friendly.

OPEN for BREAKFAST! 7 am! Not reflected in yelp hours. Tasty, filling, one egg, fried potatoes, toast. Fruit- fresh cut. Reasonable pricing. Choice of canned or bottled soft drinks or iced tea. Hot coffee or tea. Feed the parking kiosk if dining 9a or later.

The service was great from all employees! The food was very good and a big portion for the price. The burger my friend ordered was supposed to come with bacon, but instead got bacon bits (like the kind you put on salads). The ambiance could use some touching up, but other than that, everything was great!

It is the opposite of that. Food great. Recommended Italian red wine great every time I've been here. Outdoor dining great. Service great. Not great, when I only get 4 pita triangles for so much more food to take home that I asked for more pita to go, which I would've been more than glad to pay an up charge for. I was told "no" we are too busy. Even though there were still 4 tables outside that were empty. I don't know about the inside, but still... What would've been a better reply would have been ..."yes that is possible. It will take 15 minutes (or however how long), is that acceptable to you?" and then I could've decided if I was willing to wait or not which I would've been willing to wait because we sat there for at least 15 more minutes drinking the rest of our wine. Otherwise, I am a big fan of this restaurant and recommend it highly. We used to go to Macaluso's's all the time, but since it was sold to the new owners, this is our go to place for Italian dishes, pizza, great appetizers, sandwiches.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

The hostess informed us it would be a 45 minute wait, due to it being a weekend in October (their busiest time of year due to tourism and the fall foliage festival). We asked if we could sit at the bar, and were told we could. Unfortunately, there were no seats at the bar. So, we decided to wait. The people ahead of us in line were rude to the hostess, as she was trying to explain the wait time, and was becoming visibly frustrated when they asked to see the manager, who was standing right beside her. Trust me, patience at a busy restaurant on a Saturday night during tourist season pays off! As we were waiting, another waitress asked if we were the party being difficult, and the hostess said no, they're waiting. She looked at us and said "follow me", so we followed her and were seated immediately. We told her we didn't mind waiting, and she said patience pays during busy times. Our waitress was amazing! I don't recall her name, but she was a young lady whose name starts with a J (Joelle I think). She thanked us for being patient and apologized for the commotion out front. Quickly took our drink and dinner orders, and checked on us often. Our food was amazing! Best crab cakes I've ever had. Chef's kiss. Philly cheesesteak was tender and wonderful. The manager came over and thanked us for our patience, and again explained the business of the weekend. We were in no rush, and would have happily waited the 45 minutes. Know that if you plan to go to any restaurant in the area during a busy season, please make a reservation, and be kind to the staff. Dom n Ali's is a wonderful establishment, with hard working and fun staff!

We visit Jim Thorpe annually and were excited to try this place given its vegan options. When we entered the restaurant, the set-up was a little confusing. They did seat us pretty quickly though, and the service was probably the only positive to this experience. My husband and I both ordered cocktails; he had the Manhattan while I had a special vodka drink they were offering that day. Our drinks were overall fine but not anything special. My husband's Manhattan was very basic tasting. The menu and the food were the worst parts. The menu is unnecessarily long and phony sounding, like they are trying to be quirky but just come across as fake and condescending. There's extra, unnecessary description of the food that makes the menu difficult and frankly annoying to review. We ordered the bread teaser as well as the hummus. The pesto and the hummus were basic store level quality. The bread was definitely undercooked. For our entrees, we ordered the Cleopatra salad and a pasta dish. The salad tasted fine enough but it was basically just romaine lettuce with a very light dusting of nutritional yeast, vegan cheese, and a very low amount of chickpeas/protein. The pasta was an absolute travesty. It was extremely oily, flavorless, and bland. To top it all off, the food is extremely expensive! They have absolutely no business charging that much. The interior of the place is also a waste of space. It doesn't make any sense that it calls itself a pub. There's also stupid decor everywhere, including a sign that says "no" leading out to an employee-only location. I guess that's supposed to be funny but just comes across as condescending. It's a shame that this place has such a good location with Jim Thorpe and apparently can make a pretty penny serving subpar food and weird vibes. Don't waste your money.

The staff insists that "it's well worth the wait," but the real question is: is waiting over an hour for food truly worth it? After placing our breakfast order around 10:40 AM, we eagerly anticipated a plate of fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon, but alas, time marched on. In fact, it marched so slowly that I'm convinced we slipped into an alternate universe, where time doesn't exist and food is just a mythical creature. By 11:45 AM, we were staring at the menu again, now featuring lunch items, and questioning whether breakfast is merely a figment of our imaginations. To make matters worse, the entire experience felt like a tourist trap--no pun intended--where dreams and appetites go to die. You know it's bad when you start contemplating whether the omelet and pancakes you ordered actually requires a passport to arrive. By leaving time (6pm) we contemplated making a pit stop on our way back to see if they were finally prepping our breakfast, we had resigned ourselves to the cold reality of gnawing on our own disappointment. Don't get me wrong; I appreciate a good mystery, but I didn't sign up for "Where's My Breakfast?" as the main feature of my day. So, if you're looking for a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal that may or may not arrive before dinner service, this gem is for you. But for me? I'll be sticking to an actual looking glass, where at least I know the reflection of my breakfast is not just a cruel joke. Never again. Nope. Edit** we walked down the road to Antonio's pizza, the place was packed but Magee to find one empty table. Upon sitting down our order was taken within 2min. Our food then took 10min until it came out. We were blown away! Antonio's for the win!
