    kibbeh, combo plate

The food was incredible, we had fattoush, kibbeh balls, lamb shawarma, shish taouk, lamb kebab, tabbouleh, and hummus. it was all so wonderful but my favorite was the kibbeh. i'm lebanese so i'm picky with my kibbeh but Rita and her mom nailed it. Rita was incredibly warm and hospitable. she obviously cares so much about the food and her customers and it was a wonderful place to spend an evening. not to mention her son Tony. love that this is a family business. they had a small grocery section and cute indoor and outdoor seating. it's so well taken care of and obviously a well loved establishment. makes me wish i lived in town!

Been coming to this place for over 10 years. 6 years ago the owner sold the restaurant dive to family members. It has NOT changed! Gyros and the chicken shuwarmas are amazing! They told us about their Lentil soup home made in house- UFFFFG wish I can order a 55 gallon drum--soooo good and is a mom and pop store in Stroudburg, PA. Come and support trust me. Not a big spot but that's ok- eat in the car or outside seating when is warmer. Cedars... great job keeping the food consistent..

    Falafel, Moujadara, Hummus

I was not expecting to have some of the best Lebanese food outside of the Levant in Stroudsberg, but that's what Cedars was! Truly incredible falafel, hummus, and moujadara, with super friendly service. Despite having a "home cooked" vibe (the meal was prepared by the server's parents) the food was exceptionally executed.

Absolutely wonderful food and people (thank you Rita)! The lamb souvlaki was incredible. The lamb was cooked perfectly and sooo tender. The chicken shawarma sandwich, beet salad, kafta, and red lentil soup were crazy good. Don't even think about not going! I can't wait to come back! A few tables inside, and a few outside. I would stand and eat, or eat in the car for this food!

You can immediately feel how happy and welcoming everyone is the second you walk in. Even the customers were smiling, chatting, and being kind to each other... it just felt like one of those places people genuinely enjoy being in. I ordered the chicken halal over rice and baklava, and I'm already thinking about when I can go back The baklava situation alone deserves its own review because you get four pieces in an order and can mix flavors. I tried the chocolate and pistachio baklava and both were unreal. Their dessert display should honestly come with a warning because everything looks amazing. Huge thank you to Jorge and Saiyu for being so welcoming to me my first time there. I recently moved nearby, so finding a spot with great food and great energy made me ridiculously happy. I ordered: - Lamb tikka gyro - Lamb and beef platter The meats in both dishes were delicious. You cannot go wrong with ordering food here. I would order the white sauce on the side next time because it almost took over the food but other than that everything was great! The amount of food that you get is worth the price. Is it not expensive and you get a great value!

You order at the counter and your food is brought to you at the table of your choice. In spite of this, we arrived early in the evening and received a fair bit of attention right at the table. We started with an order of light and flavorful falafel which arrived with a serving of vinegary salad and a small cup of hummus. For our meals, we each had Kebaps, chicken for me and donner (shaved beef and lamb) for my husband. Perfectly spiced, served with more salad, tzatziki sauce, and a side of rice with a scattering of vegetables. All of these flavors melded together to make a delicious meal. For dessert, we shared an order of Kazandibi (Turkish crème brulé) - served cold, topped with crushed pistachios. Scrumptious! Highly recommend this out-of-the-way restaurant!

No spice, no heat, no substance- they were over fried dry balls of cornmeal. While I was there, someone came in and ordered a box of falafel. I was amazed and feel like I'm missing something. However, their lamb and chicken and adana were on point and reminded me of my visits to Istanbul.

There's ample parking in front of the building. The restrooms are handicap, accessible The atmosphere is decorated with a beautiful Mediterranean theme, florals , wood themed throughout , greenery, and plants. Great for date night as well. Greeted via a wonderful gentleman Fred , who is also the owner of Mediterranean Grill. He seated us immediately. He took our order we decided to go with a chicken Shawarma wrap And lamb Shawar. Both had a beautiful presentation. We ordered a side dish of grape leaves and a hummus dip. The dip was amazing, smooth and creamy and flavorful, and the grape leaves had just the right touch of flavor, rolled to perfection. The chicken Shawarma was lightly seasoned with a garlic cream sauce. The lamb Shawarma was equally just as good and flavorful. The dessert was a Osmayli - creamy and delicious, not too heavy . The prices are reasonable. When I visit Bethlehem Pennsylvania again I would definitely stop by here and if you are here, I say stop by give it a try you will not be disappointed and you will thank me later Say hello to Fred

Food that's absolutely a must order include the hummus platter, with extraordinary fresh bread. and the baklava. Both are epic! I had the lunch special, which was lamb kebabs with white rice. Lamb was ok but not remarkably spiced nor that tender. But it was good. The rice was a bit mushy and there was little to no dressing on the salad nor the red cabbage on the dish. Would have loved to have had something more like rice pilaf. Requested some white yogurt dressing on the side and this brought it together. I don't think one can judge a place based on the lunch special so I will definitely be returning to try more of their entrées that they're known for. The place was packed so clearly locals know this is a good place to go!

The restaurant is open very simple, has a take out area in the front. It's a good size space and there was no wait on a Saturday evening. The service and food was good although it did not compare to other Turkish restaurants in New York. Everyone was polite, service was good, we were not rushed, prices were fair and they did put their own spin on a few dishes. They are great for families and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many choices on the menu for all your meal choices. For breakfast you can have eggs, pancakes, Belgian waffles, juices, coffee, teas, potatoes and much more. They offer salads, sandwiches, wraps and you can probably have them make you whatever you want in a variety of combinations. There were three of us and we shared the falafel balls, and the pan fried liver as appetizers. They were good but not the best they had. For entrees we had the baby lamb chops, the mixed grill and the chicken Shish kebab. The mixed grill and chicken shish kebab were very good. The portions were a good size. The lamb chops were just "ok" the quality and flavor were not up to par. I had the bulgar wheat instead of rice and that was excellent. I would recommend them for a nice, relaxed meal.

Not sure who cooks this food, but it was quite possibly the most disgusting worst food I've ever had. Not an ounce of seasoning on anything, and barely anything resembling culture. Ordered chicken shawarma platter, no tzatziki, hummus on the side, rice on the side. Also ordered musakahn rolls, chicken shawarma flat bread, and mujadara. The chicken all across the board was dry as a rock, room temperature, completely tasteless, and crunchy like it was days old. I didn't get the musakahn roll, I got veggie spring rolls instead. They were soggy in the middle and greasy. The chicken shawarma flatbread, I have no idea what the heck they gave me, but it wasn't what I ordered. The menu says comes with chicken, tahini, pickled radish, and toum. What I got was the same days old dry as a rock flavorless chicken with tomatoes, salad, mayo, ketchup, and parsley on it. The mujadara was fine, just basmati rice with some lentils topped with not cooked enough onions. I asked for one toum and one hummus on the side, but the restaurant gave me five toums, five tahinis, five hummus, and five hot sauce. I didn't ask for all that so it shouldn't have sent. My wife didn't eat her food. I scraped some chicken off the flatbread and had a few spoons of rice. Everything else went into the trash. Also, the toum isn't toum, it's mayo with garlic. At least try please. Can't compete or compare with NYC style Halal food, not even remotely.
