This restaurant is owned by a Thai family and is quite authentic. The owners and staff are all really sweet and generous and offered my family a bunch of complimentary Thai ice teas to go with our order. I'm not familiar with the Stroudsburg, PA area except that it's the suburbs so I'm pleasantly surprised to see such an authentic restaurant in the area. Since we had such a large group we were able to try a lot of the menu. The basic dishes, like Thai basil, pad kee mao, pad thai, green curry, chicken satay, and pineapple fried rice were all flavorful but one of the highlights was the fried red snapper. It's a whole fish fried and topped with diced pepper and spices. We drove a little out of our way from our vacation home to find this restaurant but it was well worth the trek to support this lovely little family business. read more

We ordered a couple appetizers - Spring Rolls and Chicken Wings. The Rolls and Chicken was good, the only issue was both came with same sauce, which was okay, the menu said Plum for Rolls, Thai House sauce for Chicken. My Soup was good, the small was a good size for the price. Soup Wonton was tasty and broth with broccoli, cabbage complimented it nicely. Wife did Yellow Curry, she enjoyed it (too spicy for me, I am a wimp). It was a little watery for her, and was missing potatoes. and mushrooms listed on menu. Wow! I am so impressed by this restaurant, the food, ambiance, and service. Our first dinner in the Poconos and it exceeded my expectations! I got the whole fried tilapia with Sam-Rote sauce and the texture was perfectly crispy, sauce sweet, sour, and spicy, and my taste buds were delighted. Can't believe it was only $18 for a huge fish! Fiancé got the Thai basil chicken which was delicious as well. Thai tea and Thai coffee a little too watery and sweet for me, but overall ok. The owner lady was so sweet, giving great recommendations regarding the sauce and spice level of the fish, and also helped us plan a little itinerary for the next time we visit Thailand! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with one man who is your server and cashier. The decor is older, lights are dim, and parts of my large party left due to the lack of tables to sit on. I can tell that it's mostly take out business because the server was so nervous with the all of us (20+ people, kids included) walking in...12 of us ended up staying. To my surprise, all of the food came out at a decent time (10-15 minutes) and my oh my, it was the best Thai food I've ever had. Never judge a book by its cover, it could be a total gem! This review is a bit late considering I went there late October 2022 to see the fall foliage but I can't not give the review. To be honest, it was the picture of a whole fish that got me. I've been looking for an Asian restaurant that serves a whole fish instead of filet and so far none near us does. Weird but true! So when I see it on the menu, I knew that I had to have it. The sauce that comes with it is what we South East Asian call "3 flavored" because it has 3 main flavors, spicy, sweet and sour. I wasn't sure at first and was asking the cashier (owner's daughter I assume) what type of sauce that is but then the owner came out while I was making my to go order and upon seeing me, immediately told me it's 3 flavored fish. I guess she recognized a fellow SEAsian! Surprisingly it didn't take that long for my order to be ready. Maybe 20-25 min? The fish was crispy and the sauce was pretty good. I wish the sauce was slightly more thicker and spicier but my stomach was content and the friendliness of the owner who even told me where to get Asian groceries in the area, sure makes you want to keep going back. read more

I love a local mom and pop shop but we had a very bad experience here. Came here with a big party and ordered family style. The service is pretty bad-no water is served, only bottled water. We had to ask for utensils, napkins and plates/bowls multiple times. They gave us 3 menus for our big party. And they automatically charged us 20% gratuity for not doing much. Now onto the food. There were three dishes that were okay- crispy duck, fried red snapper and fried chicken wings. However everything else was poorly made. We got the coconut soup (tom kha) and it was lukewarm. They did NOT even cook it with lemongrass or kefir lime leaves. It was boiled shrimp, mushroom, onion and cherry tomato mixed with coconut milk. Nothing was melded together. It was weird. Chicken satay we ordered two orders w 3 in each even though i see in pics here there are 4 and worse the menu picture shows 6. White meat on a skewer. There were also some dishes that we asked if it was spicy and they said we can make it not spicy for us but it was still spicy. We had kids w us. Then they had nothing to eat and we had to order more food. Curries had no flavor. All the veggies in the curries and stir fries were not even cooked enough. My daughter and I are in Poconoh for dance competition and so happy we found a delicious and homey restaurant to enjoy. We kept going back for delicious food, amazing service and beautiful ambiance. The owners are very lovely and genuinely nice. We tried mango chicken curry, panang curry with chicken and I had Thai basil with shrimp each time and it was consistently delicious with bursting flavors, mouthwatering smell, fresh veggies, yummy taste and all cooked to perfection. I really loved the mango curry and tom kha soup! Both were beyond my expectations; I had actually gotten the mango curry for someone else, but then ended up ordering from Thai Chang again the next week for those two same items! The papaya salad was way more khatta than my own personal taste, but I also got the Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodles during the times I picked. Would definitely say that their curries and soups have been my favorite though. I did pick-up for takeout both times I went, and the main girl who checked my order out both times was really excellent and kind! The interior is very cute, but it does seem like takeout might be the move over dine-in. Even if I came a little late to pick up my food, the items were still very hot by the time I came home & I was a huge fan of the spice levels being accurate. It seems like a nice family-run business, and the food does taste authentic; their spice levels are wonderful and it was really nice to have the food properly spicy! Overall, not going to forget about the mango curry and will probably try their other coconut-based dishes soon! read more

It is a very spacious restaurant and their interior was really authentic ... it's not for show. This spot is very underrated in my opinion!!!! this spot prices are great and the food is fantastic!!! Their tilapia fillet was absolutely fresh and dances on your taste buds. I wasn't expecting much and kinda was just expecting to taste frozen fish but noooo... this place surprised me. I also loveee lovee their soup dumplings: it was sooo meaty and just stuffed with ingredients and it was only $6.50ish. Def worth it if you want something soupy and hot after any water activities in poconos!! Their pad Thai was awesome as well- there was just so much flavors in every dish!!! Not to mention the waiter was very pleasant and attentive throughout! This is the fourth Thai place I have tried the drunken noodles from in this area, and this has moved into first place for me. The Thai tea with cream is also very excellent. We went to this restaurant for a team lunch dinner. The woman who seated us and her husband I believe were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was prepared fresh and it was brought out really quickly. They were asking how it was over and over. The building is rustic and not new, but adds to that "hole in the wall" feel of a place that has fantastic food. Absolutely best Thai restaurant around the area. There is a small parking lot which is shared by a few businesses but it was empty when I went on a Sunday night. The place is pretty big with plenty of sitting and it felt very homey. Also, the food is absolutely delicious and the owners are very friendly. I got the pad see ew and basil with beef. My son enjoyed the pad see ew as it had plenty of broccoli, carrots and noodles. The basil with beef was a bit spicy but nothing overwhelming. The food was really good and portions were decent. The one thing was that the menu said beef was $1 extra but they charged me an extra $2. It was fine since the food was good but a bit deceiving. I am very picky with where I choose to eat because you can never be too careful but this place I certainly trust and their food is delicious I always get their Thai fried rice and I always ask them to add ginger, they never disappoint! It was our first time there. We went to the new location in Mount Pocono There was only one person working front of the house and he didnt seem like he knew what he was doing. Tables were all filthy and he was moving slow. There were only two other tables with customers. It wasn't busy. It was super cold out and I wanted something warm, so I ordered the dumpling soup since the photos I saw on Yelp all looked delicious. So what I was brought out to me was strange looking. It was a bowl of wontons with very little broth??! I wish I took a photo. It wasn't appetizing whatsoever and unfortunately it didn't taste as how I imagined. It was quite bland. Wontons didn't taste fresh either . Also ordered the Thai basil with vegetables and it was boring, no kick even though we asked for it to be spicy. It was more sweet than savory. Which is not the usual flavors I'm used to... Thai fried rice with chicken was rather lackluster as well. The rice was a bit mushy. Two thumbs down. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. I checked their menu online and ordered via phone. After picking up, I realized I was charged more than I expected based on their price online. I called back, and the manager said the menu was outdated, they increased the price. Shouldn't it be the restaurant's responsibility to keep the menu on YOUR website updated??? Using this trick to attract customers is a SCAM! They didn't intend to let me know the price had changed when I ordered on phone or give me an itemized receipt when I picked up. As a customer, I do expect food price fairness and transparency. A disclaimer such as "price is subject to change" shouldn't be your excuse to having fraudulent pricing, and it's illegal! read more

The owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating, tailoring the flavors to match our irksome preferences (I lean towards less sweet and more sour, while my wife is the opposite, and neither of us can handle South East Asian fiery spice levels). Despite our odd tastes, she managed to whip up all the dishes that greeted our senses and opened up a whole new world of Thai cuisine. We were skeptical walking in given it was pretty much empty (Sunday night) and the interiors seemed basic. However, our sever was super nice and suggested pineapple fried rice which was amazing. Service was slow but friendly. Ordered a salad, curry and pad see-ew. Salad was way overpriced at $9 for cabbage, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes and a hot peanut sauce. Curry had good flavor but for $13 I expected more than 2oz of chicken and about a cup of vegetables. It was the Pad See-Ew that was awful! Tasteless, bland, devoid of any seasoning or sauce.
