We have visited this establishment each time we head to the Poconos given its midway point from our home to our destination. During warmer seasons outdoor dining offers great views. Horrible experience- We had a very disappointing experience during our recent lunch visit. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and when we politely inquired about the delay, the waitress responded rudely, saying that if we couldn't wait, we should have gone to McDonald's. When we asked her to speak more respectfully, she abruptly removed the food from our table -- even the dishes we had already started eating -- and told us to leave. We were a family of four, including young children, and it was incredibly upsetting for them to witness such behavior. I've always believed restaurants are part of the service industry, but this was far from acceptable service. Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. A spacious Thai restaurant off the road with ample of parking in the town of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. There are a variety of tables as well - if you prefer to sit at the bar, in booths, or large square/round tables. Much to my surprise, the food is actually pretty good. I come from New York City so I can get all the Thai food I want, but for the rural areas in the Poconos, it's definitely hard to find some good Thai food. Everything was very authentic and delicious. I shared a Thai iced tea, curry puff appetizer, Tom yum soup, pad see ew noodles and Thai Thani fried rice with my family. The Thai iced tea was not too sweet and enough tea flavor. The curry puff was crispy on the outside and enough potatoes and flavor on the inside. The Tom yum soup was not too spicy since we asked for mild and it was perfect! Soup was also flavorful or not oily like some places. The pad see ew noodles were a tad on the saltier side but good flavoring. And the special Thai Thani fried rice is basically pineapple fried rice which was just enough smokiness and very delicious. The host and server who took our order was very friendly and so was the lady (who looked like the owner) who brought out the food and constantly checked if we needed anything else. We have been going to this restaurant since it opened. We always love the food, the ambience and the service. I had to give 2 stars for the service today . They sat us down at 5:05 pm. We waited 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. We ordered our drinks, appetizer and our main dish all at the same time to save time. We received our appetizers half hour later and waited another 40 minutes before we received our main dish. There was a couple that were seated after us but got their food ate and left before we got ours. I ordered the cashew with beef (my first time ordering this dish "never again"). Title: Disappointing Experience with Terrible Service I don't usually leave negative reviews, but after my recent experience at Thai Thani , Stroudsburg , PA . I felt I had to warn others. From the moment we walked in, we were met with cold indifference from the staff. The waitress was the most rudest person on the service industry that I have known. None of the order came in for 30 mins and when asked about it, she barely acknowledged it. On top of it she spoke disrespectfully Stating if you need food here you learn to wait. On top the waiter grabbed the plate away from us with children eating on the table. I have never seen anybody in a service industry with this behavior ever. An authentic cuisine never messes their culture with such a bad service and representation of Thai food. They were a disgrace to the owners who run business with people centric service Industry. We had to flag down a supervisor to ask about the delay, and they were unhelpful and unapologetic, offering no explanation. On top of the slow and inattentive service, the overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable. The staff was rude, dismissive, and seemed irritated by the presence of customers. I've had better service at fast food places. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I won't be returning. Save your time and money and look elsewhere. I wanted to give this spot a try while out of town. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and decided to sit at the bar. I noticed there weren't many workers. The manager/bartender/server came to serve me. Don't get me wrong she was nice but they had no real help in there. There was only her and one other server and 3 kitchen staff. I started with the chocolate martini and that had a hair in it so she had to remake it. The 2nd one was good. I then got the pinot nior which was good. I ordered the spring rolls and it took a very long time to come out. I was ready to cancel then it came out. I then ordered my food and there was one of the worker's kids in the bar area very loud. No exaggeration this was one of the best meals and dining experiences of my life. We had a large party celebrating a vow renewal and arrived less than hour before closing and were still warmly welcomed. Our server, Pat, was absolutely amazing, kind, and attentive. My Bestie took me here for the first time tonight and I was so impressed by it! It's on a stretch of road I NEVER travel and it's only 16 minutes away from me! Unassuming from the outside but kinda sorta on the high end on the inside. So much to choose from. To start, we got the Steamed Thai Dumplings. Looked like Shui Mai. Kinda the same, kinda not, but still yummy!! I love the garlic on top. For my entree, I picked the standard Pad Thai with Tofu. I like the get the basics so I can compare to other Pad Thais I've ever had. It was EXCELLENT. Saucy, uncuous, fresh, complex, and downright good! For dessert, Sticky Rice and Mango and Fried Asian Cheesecake (because they were out of Fried Bananas). Both so good. Did I mention the Jasmine tea was perfect too? I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Set atop the mountain overlooking the Delaware Water Gap to one Side and Stroudsburg to the other is Thai Thani. This beautiful building with it's breathtaking scenery and architecture has been a Thai food staple in the Poconos for years. They have a full bar and a very large dining room but on this particular visit Covid-19 was at it's height of numbers so I grabbed some takeout and headed to another one of my favorite spots, the scenic overlook in Delaware Water Gap. For todays order I decided to have an appetizer of the Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce, The Pad Thai Drunken Noodles, and a Thai Iced Tea to drink. You can order your food at whatever your desired level of heat is so I decided to go with 4/5 because I know at some Thai places (Indian too) if you go up to level 5 it's basically challenging them to burn you out. I am a guy who loves my heat, but on this particular day I wanted to taste my food before burning off my taste buds. After taking a sip of this bright orange, creamy tea I am hit with a blast of sweet. I enjoy sweet, but man this was super sweet. It tasted great, but when I make them at home now I use cream and Splenda over using sweetened condensed milk and it suits me far better. If you love a sweet drink though, this would be right up your alley. You definitely still taste the tea and on a hot day this is very refreshing. The Chicken Satay was very nice. First thought was that the meat was quite large. I've had some satay in the past where it's a very thin and short strip of chicken breast but these were large and thick cuts of chicken. In saying that though, the meat was extremely juicy still. I could have eaten these without the peanut dipping sauce and it would not have been dry at all. I did really enjoy the flavor of the chicken on its own, but adding that peanut sauce just took it to another level. Would definitely order these again. The Drunken Noodles had so much flavor! Many different flavors but they all came together so nicely. I decided to just keep it standard and went with chicken as my protein for that also. It's very hard to describe this dish because it's not a typical flavor profile. I will say that Thai Thani uses a wide, flat noodle which I really enjoyed. Some other places use a thinner noodle and I just prefer the heft and mouth feel of the larger ones. The level 4 on the heat is pretty hot. If you aren't good with heat, I would definitely go lower. I enjoyed it a lot and I do believe next time I will order the level 5 and see the difference. We would love to revisit Thai Thani now that indoor dining is mostly back in play because the interior was really very nice and we'd love to check out the bar selection. Was craving for some hot food after hiking the Bush Kill Falls and found this perfect place with beautiful views and candid servers. The food was delicious. The Tofu Soup that comes as a side with entree was my favorite soup. We also tried Tom kha soup and that was good as well. A large bowl of soup will easily serve 4-5 folks. We have had much better Pad Thai at a lot of other places, hence one star is off. But other than that, the Green Curry and Masaman Curry were delicious and will definitely have these when we come back. read more

This is my family's second time coming here as we vacation in the poconos once a year. We loved it so much we knew we were coming back this year. The outdoor dining during the COVID-19 outbreak provided wonderful views of the Pocono mountains. The service was wonderful. I had their crispy duck, which was cooked perfectly. My parents, who can happily share one sandwich most meals both FINISHED their entrees and ate dessert because it is THAT GOOD. They have a really beautiful location, but were severely short-staffed. Still, my mom repeated a few times that the food was absolutely worth the wait. My friend and I stopped by the restaurant after visitting the Bushkill falls. The restaurant has an upscale vibe but the pricing was very reasonable with high quality ingredients and authentic taste.
