I love coming here. The food is always really good and the service is always fast. The restaurant is always very clean and calm.

Received no acknowledgment upon entering the establishment even though I was the only one there. Ordered a lunch combo that was packed for me to go even though I sat at a table. Also did not receive the soup or egg roll that comes with the lunch special. The restaurant is quaint and located in a good shopping center but they did not have any heat on, making it cold. Decent prices for a quick lunch but my initial experience will most likely lead me to not return. read more

I've lived in the Poconos for a long time and this place is to me the best. I order general tso's chicken and it's usually white meat chicken which I love and cooked very well!! Their egg rolls are awesome .. only thing I think you need to work on is the crab rangoons they need to add more cream cheese they're too fishy compared to other places.. other than that most friendly freshest food around love it here read more

My 1st time trying this restaurant today, 08/10/2023 as it was one I hadn't tried. Ordered a few combo specials (comes with Egg Roll & Fried Rice): Lo Mein & Shrimp with Broccoli. *Wonton soup *Fried Wontons *Steamed Dumplings *Big, crunchy fried crunchy "chips" My order was missing the egg rolls. The combination platters were supposed to come with egg rolls but we did not get any egg rolls. *The wonton soup was good. *The steamed dumplings were 95% dough & 5% filling. The ratios were completely off. Did not enjoy eating thick, dough with scant filling. It's not a pasta dish. *The fried rice in the combination platters was terrible - completely flavorless although you would be deceived because it looks like fried rice but once you take the 1st bite - it's terrible. It's plain rice with NO flavor. Be prepared to create your own with soy sauce, sesame oil, etc. Terrible! *Shrimp with broccoli flavor was good but the broccoli needed to cook a little longer - it was almost raw. *Fried wontons were okay - tasted 'stale' *The big crunchy "chips" were chewy & stale - the humidity got to them or something but they are supposed to be crispy/crunchy not chewy like a fruit roll up. *The Lo mein was average at best. I called to complain I did not receive my egg rolls & was told I can come & get them - that wasn't going to happen as I live a distance away. I was then told I'll get a credit next time I'm in. I couldn't get the lady's name who answered the phone but I did ask. My to go #88. Overall - disappointed! There aren't really any good Chinese restaurants in the Poconos regardless, but this restaurant is definitely on the bottom of the list for Chinese you would want yo eat. read more

My kid was craving chicken and broccoli and an egg roll on an over night trip. I ordered pick up. The place seemed clean. The service person was friendly and spoke to me with a smile. This is by far the better of the Chinese Food places in the area, they have good prices. Combo comes with fried rice and an egg roll. I would suggest takeout only as it is very small and they only have a few small tables. The lady that works the counter is very friendly. read more

You are on a road trip back to NYC, and your stomach is growling with two hours left to drive. Chinese food? Yes, please! One thing that really made me happy about this place is that they substituted the pork fried rice and egg roll, for a vegetable fried rice and veggie roll at no additional charge. I got the mixed vegetable plate for $6. I was impressed with the amount and quality of the food. The ONLY exception was the veggie roll, which was gross. Way too much breading and the insides were just cabbage. Blech. Skip that. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, over rice that wasn't too greasy or salty. The broccoli and snow peas were cooked without being soggy. The mini corn did taste canned. Anything with water chestnuts makes me happy. A few quick bites and back on the road. Worst Chinese I've ever had. Everything was either way over cooked or soggy. I dont know what was in the egg rolls but it was grey and mushy. Everything that was fried came wrapped in a napkin because they were trying to soak up the greasiness. We ordered a quart of sweet and sour chicken and there was maybe 15 peices, there was so much greasy breading. The sweet and sour sauce was so thin and extra sour. I also ordered a combination plate of sweet and sour chicken and pork fried rice. It was 1/4 chicken the rest rice. Portions were terrible and it was expensive! Would not recommend. read more

Me and my family came here to eat and the food was okay. But it was sooo cold inside ! You couldn't even eat your food comfortable of how cold It was. Also they're so cheap we asked him a Home made ice tea and they gave us the juice in a little tiny container. Supposedly small ? Worst Chinese food I ever had! I'm from Chicago so could be that I'm just used to really good food but this was not good at all. Shrimp seemed raw and undercooked. Strange taste on all items like the cooking equipment had a taste on it from something else and it got cooked into everything made afterwards. We literally threw it all away. We just arrived to Mt. Pocono on business (if I told you I'd have to kill you). I was in the mood for something ethnic, but not too ethnic... if that makes sense. My co-worker and I stopped at the Golden Dragon, and we were quite happy! She got the shrimp and broccoli, with fried pork rice, egg roll and soda, and I got the kung pao chicken and all of the same. While I can say I've had better kung pao chicken, theirs was pretty good. The rice was amazing! Nice sized pieces of pork were in the rice, just in case you forget what type of rice you're eating, the portions were large, and my co-worker loved her's. I think for the entire thing I paid 8.50, no tip. While we were there some people came in for take-out orders, and I could tell that the Golden Dragon was more of a take-out place than a sit-in one, however we sat in, and that worked out fine. We were a bit disappointed that they DO NOT deliver, at least as of the date of this review. Things may change with time. The order took them about 10-15 minutes to prepare, and no, this isn't one of those "pick 3 sides and rice" Panada Express type of place, this is a legitimate Chinese place with Chinese workers speaking Chinese (ok, well maybe that makes it not so legitimate after all, but that's up to you to decide, not me!). We have been a customer for many years. The last couple of times the food was not nearly as good as it used to be. We decided to give it one more try. The meat was burned and the egg roll over cooked on the outside but grossly soggy on the inside. We decided to call them this time. According to them the only solution was to return it. We live a good distance from the restaurant and I explained that would be a big inconvenience to drive back. Despite knowing us for years and never complaining before we were given no other resolution. We won't be returning to this establishment any time soon. read more

I eat there a lot!!! There are so much variety's of food!!! I never even know which meal to pick!!!! Food is mostly ready in ten-fifteen minutes!!! And to make it better, their food is very cheap. The employees are very kind as well. I really recommend going for lunch or dinner. read more

The map I believe shows the wrong location. If this is the place in Mt. Pocono K-mart plaza its OK at best. Cool ass fish tank but I have had 2 meals that the meat just was not good. Lived in Mount Pocono for about 20 years and Golden Dragon use to be our only place for Chinese food. Unfortunately their quality of both food and service has seem to have gone downhill over the last 18 months or so. The last 3 times I've ordered pork fried rice it tasted old and was dry. The same with their spare ribs. Considering spare ribs aren't really inexpensive you would think they would do a better job. Today though was the final straw for me. Their menu lists their Pork Fried Rice in either Quart or Pint sizes. I walk up to the counter and request a Quart and a half of Pork Fried Rice. Apparently this baffled the 20 something year old kid. But then he decides once he figured it out, that it would be a good idea to roll his eyes at me and start mumbling. WRONG-O. I told him to forget it and walked out. There are better places that seem to want to capture the Magic that this place use to have. 2 within a mile or two of this place. I have lived here for 29 years and never thought to try this place. What a surprise when I did.i ordered triple delight and the plate was filled with a nice assortment of veggies with meat and shrimp.I could not eat it all and it was delicious. My wife had the shrimp with garlic sauce and raved about it. We now have a new restaurant to frequent. The prices are also great! read more

Walnut Chicken is excellent, best I have ever had! Highly recommend trying it. Both their white and fried rice taste authentic and will compliment any meal you get. The store front is a bit dusty, but the employees use gloves, and I have yet to eat contaminated food. This is not a great eat in place. Just order take out if you come. Prices are fair.
