Grabbed lunch here on a recent visit to my parents and really enjoyed my grain bowl. Red Leaf offers dozens of predesigned salads and grain bowls, but there's also the option to customize your salad or bowl using an extensive list of ingredients. We ordered online, which is a smooth process with plenty of opportunity to personalize your order even when choosing a predesigned option from the menu. The only annoying thing about the online ordering was that it forced me to select a green to replace some of my grain with in my grain bowl --- they either need to make the question optional or add the option to say no. BF and I both wound up ordering the Green Machine, which features a bunch of green vegetables (kale, avocado, broccoli, celery, cucumber, peas) and shrimp --- this tasted fresh and delicious. The suggested parmesan peppercorn dressing paired perfectly and I devoured every bite of the very sizable salad. My mom got the southwest salad with sweet and spicy chicken, which is her go-to order from Red Leaf. She usually gets her dressing on the side and winds up transferring a portion of her salad into a bowl at home so she can save the leftovers without dealing with soggy lettuce. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and the large variety of options they offer. Service was a bit slow (they weren't ready with our order on arrival at the designated time) but friendly. read more

I loved my salad from here! I was looking for a healthy quick option in town, and this was the perfect spot. They have so many salad combinations to choose from or you can make your own. Shady and Nasty! I was very excited to get a coupon in my email for Red Leaf Salad Company. It urged me to order online but wait! There are hidden fees. Almost everything at this restaurant is an up charge budget the fees for ordering online are hidden until you are paying. When I went to complain to the manager, the assistant manager got rather snotty with me. I won't be going back. If they're not upfront with their fees they're certainly not upfront with the quality of their ingredients. I called this a warning. read more

Friendly staff, fresh ingredients and lots of great choices -we had The Powerhouse salad & the Ancient Sweetness grain bowl. When we arrived at the cookout and unpacked the salads the looked horrible soggy gross lettuce everything was wilted and drenched in dressing they look as if they sat in fridge for 2 days . It's nice to see that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in NEPA, but this place is no Saladworks or Sweet Greens. It would be helpful if they offered some concept salads with pricing, because you can go overboard really quickly and the next thing you know, you've made $15 salad. Another point of annoyance is watching them chop the salad. This is not the time to take out your aggressions. It's a very sloppy process to watch and slightly unappetizing. And, if you take your leftover salad home be warned it will be a water mess the next day. Lastly, If you don't like salty chicken, stay away from the Cajun style or get ready to buy more than one of their overpriced beverages. Oh and a little roll or pita chip would have been nice, too. I would give zero stars of I could. Not because of the food but because the workers are very rude and do not know how to follow instructions. Then when they make a mistake they argue with you about it. I am not talking about my order. Great concept. Made to order salads like the way chipotle makes burritos endless combinations. Base salad includes your choice of 5 base items, pay per ingredient above that and pay for premium ingredients. They also offer wraps and soups. Garden decor with small 4 seat tables. The good: Good selection of ingredients, very fresh veggies, great atmosphere, convenient location, generous portions The bad: I do not like the chopping method, TBH. Would be nice to be asked "chop or no chop." If you allow them to pulverize it, it turns to mush the next day (considering you order to go or take the leftovers home). Could get pricey depending on what you order and sides. Overall, it's worth a try, but be aware of the pitfalls. The salads here are huge, delicious, fresh, fast, and very affordable. There is a vast array of toppings available, and the clear cubes filled with hydroponically grown lettuce are attractively presented. Lettuce has rarely been so enticing! I loved that the dressing I chose (Soy Ginger) was not overly salty or oily. Dressing can so often be the downfall of an otherwise healthy salad. All in all, I love this place. We order Red Leaf (usually from the Dallas location... occasionally from WB) at least once per week. I always order online and have it ready for pickup after work. It's sooo good as long as they get the order correct. There was a time when I had three different orders in a row made incorrectly (missing ingredients, wrong dressing, etc). We've had so many mistakes that there was a time we stopped purchasing from Red Leaf. I don't find out about the mistake until I get home and we unpack our salads. We decided to give them another shot and I'm glad we did. Hopefully they're more careful and we don't have as many mess ups going forward bc their salads are great. read more

This place is hit or miss. Never ever order online - your wait time will automatically triple. I usually order two salads (one for someone else) and do it online for pure convenience of the staff, but in turn it just inconveniences me. Better off to just order there and get it done instantly. On that note, the staff is incredibly rude. There is one girl at the Dallas location who looks you up and down with disgust. Multiple occasions and multiple staff members were rude to me. Also, one of the owners could work on his social skills (the bro one). He's just as rude as the super chopping minions he hires.
