Five stars for the excellent service and teamwork we received today! I've never seen this place this full on a Monday at 4pm! Despite it being super busy with holiday crowds, cyclists and multiple groups arriving around 4 pm on a Monday (including our party of 12), the staff remained incredibly efficient and composed. The cashier was super patient as he handled our large order with all our modifications. The barista worked diligently to quickly prepare our drinks while maintaining a friendly and welcoming demeanor. I was impressed as how quickly they cranked out all the orders. The manager (I assume) also helped to get everything flowing smoothly. These employees are what compelled me to write this review. Stephanie, Moe, and Nick really stood out. The drinks, as always, tasted great. They have new holiday drinks.. the vanilla cold brew tonic was pretty good and refreshing! read more

The slowest service at any Peet's store I've ever been too. Did a DoorDash order for pick up to myself and waited and waited till someone directed me to the correct place for pick up. Few days later did another door dash and was at the door dash counter. Finally saw it in the mobile order pick up, which is where I was told it wouldn't be last time. How does this location consistently turn out the most bitter cups of coffee of the four Peet's I visit regularly? Coffee so incredibly bitter that you can't taste the flavor of the coffee for the bitterness. And by the time I've added enough half and half to cut the bitterness it's no longer what I want. Monday July 21 at 3:53pm...I ordered an Americano with room (which there was none), which is espresso in hot water. How they manage to *uck it up with a machine that supposedly dispenses the right amount of properly ground coffee is beyond me. You should excel at making a good $5 cup of coffee. Oh how I long for the days when I couldn't wait to get my morning Americano made with Garuda from Peet's in Fremont. It's uncommon to get a decent cup of coffee from any Peet's now. Their coffee is on par with Starbucks...the worst of the worst. Peet's get it together. read more

I swing by 3-4x a week as part of a routine stop on local bicycle rides. Coffee is most of the time good, although the recent switch to feels like smaller cups and also the terrible paper straws is not great. Also the prices have been steadily creeping up where it's over $5 for a plain cold brew... What I have noticed is the place getting dirtier and dirtier. If I owned this place and came by, I'd be pissed. Right now it's Sunday afternoon, and several employees and almost no customers. Floors are dirty and littered with crumbs, garbage overflowing, and the door looks like a Jackson Pollock painting...it was also like this the last several times I've been here. I was heading to SF with some friends and could use a "boost". After managing the jungle gym of a parking lot, we found a cozy space in some shade. Thankfully the line wasn't long (granted it's around 12:30pm) We ordered Latte Vanilla Latte Chai Latte (All roughly $5 give or take $1) We were all pleased with our drinks, but then our worst nightmares come true. One of the drinks are dropped as we're exiting Peets. THANKFULLY - the barista was kind enough to REMAKE the order free of charge. I then left a nice tip to show my appreciation and support their kindness towards our inconveniences. We were all very pleased with the employees and the drinks. Peet's Coffee has plenty of seating inside and parking in it's lot. bicycles are left unattended in front of coffee shop which is usually for anywhere except Danville. therefrom, beware of the possible tripping hazard. brew: big bang (m. 2.75) -medium roast noted for it's higher caffeine content, -doesn't taste like Major Dickerson dark roast nor any Peet's dark roast. drips: -good to remember if i needed something stronger than the usual smooth dark brew. -quick and cordial as it was quiet on a hot day. read more

Peets Coffee in general has lost its mojo. I went to the one in San Ramon and Danville and many others for over 20 years. But about since covid their quality of business has plummeted. Today I had a very negative experience at the Danville Peets, and will never go there again (after 20 years) and in general will stay away from Peets. First of all, and mainly, the quality of their coffee drinks is not good. Used to be great. I think management simply doesn't care about quality anymore. They obviously do not train baristas how to make good coffee drinks. Pretty much Starbucks quality (not good) or lower now. Plus whereas all other coffee shops have brought back reusable ceramic cups, Peets hasn't and continues to populate our landfills with plastic coated paper cups, lids, sleeves, etc. that are horrible for the environment. And the employees do not care. The last straw today was the bad cappuccino and poor non-caring attitude of the employees. They even came over and disturbed my trying to work by literally sweeping around and below my feet. And when I asked them not to disturb said "I am going to bring the mop over and mop below your feet as well." Peets management does not care about quality, employee training and the environment. Done with them. Luckily at least in San Ramon, we have Joe and the Juice, a great business, ceramic cups, excellent coffee, excellent baristas, great management and employees who have an excellent attitude. But then again I just left Peets Danville where there were 1 or 2 customers and came immediately to Joe and the Juice San Ramon to get a better coffee and a good experience and there are at least 12 people here. Stopped by here today during our bike ride on Iron Horse Trail. I entered the cafe masked on, ready for a refreshment. Unfortunately, I was seen as I entered, but not greeted. As I approached the counter to order my drink, it took the staff a few minutes to even acknowledge that I was waiting. Usually, at all of the other Peet's locations I visit, I'm immediately greeted and reassured (even during rush hour) that I would be assisted shortly. This location did not do any of that nor did the barista ask if I had the Peetnik app, so I had to take the initiative to ensure I received my points for purchasing a drink. While I was waiting for my drink, there were a couple of the staff gossiping making the experience that much more less impressive. As soon as my drink was prepared and set on the counter, I told the barista thank you and have a nice day, to which I received a grim "you too." I will gladly ride past this location the next time we're in the area or when we bike the trail. There was no inclination to even take a picture of the drink I got as it was not a satisfactory experience. read more

This store has always been really great. Super friendly and super fast. The past few visits have not been so great. The old crew is gone. There are a couple newer staff members that are a bit robotic and unfriendly. With a look that says "I hate my job, life, whatever". And they are super sloooow... with that slowness comes longer lines, and the place isn't nearly as well kept either. read more

Got violently ill here last week from eating a chicken chorizo sandwich. I know it was this because it was the first meal I had of the day and the last. I confronted them about storage and dates. They claim they get the frozen and thaw on the day they use them. Went in today and asked to see the date in one.,,,, 2/27. Ask me? That's to long for a sandwich to be assembled packaged frozen thawed and served. Never had a problem before, got to wonder if it's the Covid situation or lack of the managers usually on site, either way, fair warning, Peet's in the perishable food service might not be the greatest idea. read more

I love the idea of Peet's Coffee: the alternative to 'bucks, the people who really care about the bean, etc. But this location is a nightmare. It's on the Iron Horse Trail in Danville, which equates to an Apocalyptic experience: You stroll through a parking lot of luxury cars massive SUVs and into a throng of tables squatted upon by The Motherhood of Soccer and The Future 16yr-old BMW Drivers of America. Dying of suburban hangover, you turn quickly towards the cofeehouse entrance, hoping that shot of caffeine is all you'll need to shake out the feeling of desperation. You then come face to face with an image to be engrained in your skull forever: Spandex Bulgemasters. Scores and scores of middle-aged men in various states of physical disaster dressed in pure form hugging, teste boiling copolymer blend. It is most definitely a sign of the end of times, my friends. And I face this everytime I want weekend coffee... Help. read more

I've been here over the years now and then, but I've always been partial to vanilla and up until recently they didn't have that option for coffees. So I didn't go there very often, but lately I've been meeting my friend from work on our days off to shoot the sh*t about work, life, husbands, kids you name it over coffee or tea. And it's been a very pleasant experience. First of all I have restrictions..... I can only do decaf....boooooring I know but if I don't want to feel like Buddy Rich is drumming away in my chest...then NO Caffeine. I'm also a Nonfat milk girl, hey it's what I like. AND...I used to work in a Cafe it whips up a better froth for your latte. So my only sin these days in the Vanilla, so please don't deny me that! So now that I can get that at Peets I'm a happy camper, because I really enjoy the rich flavor of their blends, And I had forgotten (from my Caffeinated days) what deep flavorful coffees Peets had and how delicious they can be. Also they have a very nice loose leaf Decaf English Breakfast which was just perfect, since I really don't care for the herbal crap I'm always offered in loo of Decaf flavors. Which the sunny crisp fall days we've been having it's so nice to sit outside in the afternoon with our coffee or tea to chat, and forget about rushing around for a bit. So Yes, I give Peets two thumbs up, and a "woohoo" for finally getting flavors for the coffees! read more

It's a Peet's. I like Peet's, almost without fail. This one is typical. Typically good. As is usual for Peet's, it can get quite crowded and is a favorite of the bicycle crowd. This one maybe even more so for it's great location right off Iron Horse Trail. I love running here (or to the La Boulange next door) for breakfast from my house. They never say a word about my sweaty, disheveled appearance. read more
