I stopped by Bagel Street Cafe in Danville before my massage next door at The NOW and tried the pastrami sandwich on a honey corn bagel--and it was excellent. The pastrami was flavorful and tender, and the honey corn bagel added the perfect touch of sweetness and crunch. Everything tasted fresh, and the sandwich was generously filled without being messy. Well, I do love bagel street and always have. Today was a big disappointing. Service was fast but honestly it felt too fast and rushed. I don't think our order was completely heard because they were just moving so fast. Ambiance has never changed which I like there is a lot of seating. The food was so-so today. Bagel with cream cheese didn't have much cream cheese, they left stuff off the BLT, the breakfast sandwhich was good just out of preferred bagel. I've tried many sandwich shops around Danville and this is by far one of my new favorite sandwiches! I normally don't get everything on my sandwich, but I decided to take a risk and I did not regret it! The employees are so great and so helpful. They provide great service to their customers. This location specifically has higher ratings than some of the other Bagel Streets near by because it's right in the heart of downtown. Inside the cafe they have seating as well as outside seating. The cafe is perfect for breakfast or lunch. The ambience is very kid and family friendly. The prices are also very reasonable. read more

I recently ate at Noah's Bagels, which had a horrible wait time so I decided to try this place and it was much better, both food and speed. The service was fast, they take your order and then you make your way to the register, pay and your order is ready. I ordered the toasted marnara bagel with chive cream cheese, capers, tomato and red onion. The toasting was light so if you like extra toasted, you'll have to ask for it. Also they're not shy about putting on the stuff (Noah's was definitely lighter) They put on 3 to 4 sliced fresh tomatoes, good amount of thinly sliced red onion and plenty of cream cheese and capers. My wife ordered a salted bagel toasted with butter (this was about the same order we had at Noah's) and all delivered after paying, not 15 min later. Great speeded service! I read a few reviews and I can see how they feel the servers were grumpy or a little to flirtatious, but I love how fast they worked. I didn't mind the no smile when taking the order, she just started to make the order before I was finished and didn't miss a beat. She got the order perfect even tho that last part was told to her back.. Doh! I didn't care, it was great to see people working hard and fast, not a bunch of teenagers moping around (Noah's). Before I saw they had quiche, I accidentally ordered a egg and cheese sandwich on an onion bagel. Yes, it was good, but I wish I would have got the quiche instead. The egg and cheese combo meal is only $6, including coffee. I consoled myself by Reminding myself what a deal I got. Whilst I was munching on my sandwich, I noticed the orange juice squeezer machine that was running. Man alive I'm going to have to try some of that. I snagged one of the freshest bottles right off the line and gave it a try. I'm glad I did. It's pretty expensive but was excellent. The 16 oz bottle set me back $4.95. I didn't see where the drink prices were listed anywhere. So overall a very good visit. Nice people, excellent food, large dining room. They have twice gotten my order completely wrong in one week, no care in making my order at all, were rude both times and the coffee was so bad I threw it away. Really tired of my order getting messed up! Went in today for our usual,( California club on Dutch crunch bread) And they made it wrong AGAIN! Our order is wrong more often then right and unfortunately you find out when you get home! Today they gave us the BSC club. Which means no bacon and they added avocado, which my husband hates! There is definitely a language barrier here. I think we will go back to Dominicos where they always get our order correct. read more

I used to work near this location and the staff are amazing. They would remember my order and always had a joke to start the day off light. Here's a cafe I hadn't tried yet. Well, it's okay, I guess. Bagel Street Cafe is tucked away in the maze of wooden buildings and suburban forest known as the Livery. More inviting than Concord's Puke-n-Shop, but I hoped I was able to find the place. Thankfully, I did, and walked in one Sunday morning. Sat down with a Bagel Street Special (ham, turkey, egg) and small Sprite. Smallish, well-taken-care-of place. Seating in the front, more in the back, some on the deck outside. Many people there already, and the line was a few minutes long. My bagel sammy turned out okay. A few nitpicky things: Hot sauce came in small packets, a little hard to use. Only coffee & tea available, also soft drinks, no juice??? Hmph. Customer service was quite lacking. I was asked what kind of bagel I wanted. I couldn't find the listing on the board, which is the logical place where the bagel selection would be. The counter lady was not to nice in pointing out that it wasn't listed up there, it's on the window where you can see the bagels. Demeanor was overall a little crabby, and the man who checked me out leaned that way too. Something we don't need before 10am. Well, they need God's love too, and I'm happy to give it to `em, but many customers come in needing that loving approach, and I doubt they'd get it here. Bagel Street Cafe has pretty good food, but it's not a place to go out of your way to visit. I did go out of my way, and maybe I should have gone to the Alamo Cafe instead. read more

Dropped in for a quick breakfast. Huge selection of bagels, decided on the jalapeno, cheese, egg and bacon. The staff was prompt and courteous with our order. At the register I ordered a Mexican mocha with two shots, the baresta asked him if I wanted the optional 2 shots of tequilla. LOL. Sure wish that was a real option. Whenever I am craving a filling breakfast or a bagel in general, I make a beeline here! Delicious bagels, a variety of flavors, a great many other good options such as sandwiches, eggs, and more. Big tip: try to come early as many of the popular bagel flavors sell our early in the morning. This, however, is a great indicator of the popularity and quality of the establishment. The staff might seem rushed at times, but cut them slack! They are always pushing hard so the customer doesn't wait too long. They are still very welcoming and accommodating. The setting in the wooded livery is peaceful. The service is in the eye of the beholder. They snap orders at their customers which generally moves the line super quickly. There is a ton of audible banter behind the counter. Some people would see this as a fine tuned assembly line (which it is) while others might find it loud and offensive. today the customer service was terrible. didn't ask if I wanted my bread toasted for my sandwich to start putting mustard on. only one piece of turkey on my sandwich. we were eating on the patio and they just lock the doors 10 minutes before closing. it would've been nice if they would've said we're closing would you like a box or a drink refill no they said nothing. We had a pound on the door and yell I almost just dropped the plate right there. No yelling back at us we're closed. Finally after all that we got our to go box and our drink refilled. I have been going here for years but recently moved on because I had many incidents of being overcharged. The bagels are good but the store is not very clean which was especially concerning during covid. Be sure to pay attention to what you owe and what you are charged as I know many people who have had the same experience being overcharged. Gosh i had to downgrade as I really had a nightmare ordering 3 dozen bagels with spreads for a school I wanted to gift the bagels to as a thank you. The man trying to help me did not understand me at all when I asked for a box. He said all I have is a bag-ok if it was just for me at home a brown paper bag is fine. This was a thank you gift for teachers which I did not want to give them 2 brown paper sacks of bagels. I tried to explain and he would not listen remaining with all I have is this bag. I'd never done this type of purchase with them before but wanted to rely on them for this gift. I wanted 2 dozen baker and 1 dozen gourmet. I asked just to do a mix and he kept saying pick. I didn't know which was which in those being gourmet to those being baker/regular (you pay more for gourmet). I don't know what people would like so I was open to anything as the line grew with only 2 servers. The other server knew what to do in the end. As the customer after me all of the sudden was able to get a box of his bagels and the other server cut them in half for him! I'm like how did you do that?!! He said I'm a regular and have done this before. When I then asked for the bagel to be boxed, the server desserted me literally to help 3 other customers as I stood there. When the server who cut and boxed the other customer's bagels was done, I had to ask him to help me when he was going to help another customer as I'm standing there. So do you need to be a regular? The answer is yes if you want more than to just get a drink and a bagel. Anything more than that is going to be a struggle. I really was sweating that whole situation out and apologizing to all behind me but I wanted those bagels to give to a neighboring school as a thank you. How hard that had to be especially with what I ended up paying. I get the server who helped me in the end say that next time call ahead to let them know, etc. But I didn't know and should I have suffered that hard to buy 3 dozen bagels with spreads? Will I remember if I do this type of purchase again - (yes)? This is a tough follow-up review as I can see it's a local spot for the young and old. But I really dislike places that take their good fortune for granted if that is how they are run. That's why I wrote this. I have to say that I am an all around fan of the Bagel Street Cafe franchise thing. I have only been to two and so far I have been very happy. This one is close to the office and very large inside. It also has very nice outdoor seating, which I didn't use but liked the idea. I like the decorating to. Its very cozy and warm inside with beautiful art on the walls. I went in around 11:00am. Before the lunch rush I'm assuming. The smell of the bagels was so overwhelming I almost went with my go to roast beef sandwich, but I didn't. Trying to cut the carbs here people. I'm trying to eat lighter fair these days so I checked out the premade salads. They had three options, Asian Chicken Salad, Mixed Salad, and a tiny little Garden Salad. I went with the Asian. A very nice sized salad with nice sized strips of Chicken, large Tomato slices and some Cucumber slices. All for less than $6. What I really liked best was they weren't skimpy with the dressing. They had two mini tubs of dressing instead of just one like you would find with other places premade salads. The only thing is watch out. This dressing was spicy. What is with spicy? You can breath clearer and have a runny nose all at the same time. I worked through it and really enjoyed my salad as a matter of fact.
