Really disappointed in my experience today. I placed an order for pick up on the mobile app. When I arrived to the location, I saw that there was another drink in the stand ready for pick up that had my same name, but a different last initial. My drink should've been ready by this time, so I waited for a minute just to be sure that someone had accidentally indeed grabbed the wrong drink. I see a woman come back in with a Peet's coffee in her hand, and I overhear her tell the barista that she did accidentally grab the wrong drink. She had made it all the way out, obviously left the establishment and came back to return it and get her drink. I waited to see what the barista would do, in my head it made sense to throw away the drink since it had left the establishment and was with a completely different person. The barista proceeded to ask the woman if she had taken a sip, to which she said she had not. I was shocked to see that the barista placed the drink that the lady had returned back in stand for me to pick up and placed a stopper in it. I approached the barista after the woman left and explained that I had a witnessed the entire interaction and that I would like my drink remade. The barista proceeded to explain that she was going to wait until I had come to pick up the drink to explain what had happened and ask if I had wanted it to be remade. I truly believe that the barista was not being honest because there's no way that she would've been able to track and monitor when I came to actually pick up my drink. I think she was just caught off guard that I had actually witnessed the entire interaction. I'm pretty disgusted as it was very clear that the barista was not wanting to remake the drink initially and if I hadn't been there to witness the entire interaction I would've had no idea that my drink had actually left the establishment and had been in someone else's hands for who knows how long. This is usually my go to for coffee and I always typically order on the mobile app, but I will no longer be doing so. I'm grossed out. I feel like this is food safety protocol #1. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this Peet's location. It's conveniently located near the Trader Joe's I was at, so I decided to swing by. The space was pretty nice, the iced vanilla latte was solid, but the real star of the show was the chicken and waffle sandwich. It's shockingly great. It doesn't look incredible in the picture, but I promise you, it's amazing. Get it while you can. Seems to be a limited time item. read more

My mom and I frequent this location during our morning walks along the trail. We typically order ahead via the app when we're about 10 minutes away and our drinks are almost always ready for us by the time we arrive. On occasion, if they're busier than usual we'll have to wait 5-10 minutes for our drinks to be made, but it's no big deal. My go-to order is an Iced Havana Cappuccino and my mom likes their Hot Vanilla Latte. I do notice that Peets coffee is much stronger, caffeine wise, than any other coffee shop we go to. Definitely come here to get your caffeine boost. This standalone shop is located in between the Marshalls and Trader Joes off of Bascom Ave. There is plenty of parking at the Pruneyard. read more

No above and beyond, but it's more so just a convenience being in the center of Pruneyards for me to get my pick me up before Yoga. I will say it's a nice spot for me to do my remote work. I stopped going here about a 8 months ago because the chances with me getting the drink I actually ordered we're about 30%. Decaf americano, splash of milk, two pumps of vanilla. 70% of the time, no vanilla, and again on my opportunistic visit today. Things not improving over 8 months later, come on that's a poorly run business and unlikely to change. 2 stars because it's very nice and clean. This is a nice location in the Pruneyard in Campbell. I ordered an iced coffee and the cashier was extremely patient as I ad ousted my order several times. Even after ordering and paying, she added the things I forgot to request with a smile. This is a great location with ample outdoor seating and a lot of other nice places to eat or shop. Awesome staff a very nice, helpful barista assisted me with selecting a perfect after surgery snack for my husband. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name but all the crew working today (Tuesday Jan 6th @1:30) were extremely pleasant. The location is good and the drink quality is fine, but the staff are not friendly and they get my name wrong nearly half the time. It's "Dan" -- how difficult is that? I've been Dan, Dean, Don, Dana, and I may be forgetting a few others. I say they're not friendly because there are literally only two people that ever smile. TLDR: promised time for mobile order was 10AM, didn't get drinks until 10:20AM. Hot drinks got cold because of how long the order took. The way they set up their mobile ordering system is by far the worst experience I've ever had at a cafe, even from a big industry cafe. They split up their mobile orders and have each barista focus on one kind of drink. Our hot drink came out immediately and then we had to wait 20 minutes for the rest of our order to come out. The hot drink was cold by the time everything was finished. I asked one of the baristas for the status of the cold drinks and she (blonde hair) gave attitude and said "I only make one kind of drink". From an efficiency standpoint, it makes sense to have each barista focus on one drink but the way they split drinks up needs to be reconsidered. Why does it take 20 minutes for the cold drink to be made from the same mobile order? Once I spotted the last drink missing from the mobile order, I saw another barista (guy with hat) have it near him and kept making all of the other ones around it instead. He picked it up 3 times, read the label, put it down, and then made a different one. Overall, service was crap and the drinks are mid. read more

There is a serious lack of quality control at this particular Peet's Coffee location. I have placed pickup orders here two times now. Both times I requested sugar free vanilla syrup to be added to my Latte and both times they have put full sugar syrup in it. Also, if you tend to order a large coffee be prepared to pay for a cup that is barely 3/4 of the way full. So basically you will get a medium drink in a large cup and at the price of a large drink. I personally order the sugar free vanilla because I don't like overly sweet things. However, I am sure there are plenty of people out there that order their drinks with sugar free syrup in it due to either diabetes or other dietary restrictions. So their complete disregard for someone's request is pretty annoying. At the very least I can still drink it when they do this although I don't love it. But if this happened to someone with dietary restrictions they would have completely wasted their money and would have to toss their drink. I am not a huge fan of Starbucks but at least they get my orders right so I guess I will go back to them. read more

I love this Peet's a lot! I have been coming to this Peet's whenever I am in the Campbell area. I love the atmosphere of Peet's and all the people are so kind. The coffee shop is so cute and has everything played out that you can see it. I usually order an iced vanilla latte or an iced mocha latte. Also, I love the pastries, mainly the scone and the cinnamon roll! Today I asked the barista for her recommendation. I tried an iced coconut mocha latte! It was so yummy! I will be getting that from now on. The only thing I would say is that Peet's coffee can be really strong. I always ask for 1 shot because it is so strong. Located perfectly in the middle of the Pruneyard, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seats available and I am grateful that if I need to get work done on my laptop, they have some electrical outlets too. Super helpful for my long work days on my laptop. Drinks are always on point, and I love the merchandise they have available too - super cute tumblers! Baristas are very friendly, their drinks come out fast (love the mobile app), and their service is consistently superb in my opinion. So glad to have a Peets in the area! The last 2 times I have come to this location I have had a bad experience. The first time the milk was bad. The second time they made me wait 15 minutes or more for just a matcha frappe. For the record when I had both my orders placed the coffee shop wasn't busy at all in fact people behind me were getting their drinks in a 5 minute wait time. Pruneyard has decided to take back its community oriented square and seating area. Smack in the middle is a Peet's Coffee. This Peet's-er is housed in a rather cool building. A a stand alone rustic box painted a rich dark chocolate coffee brown. It reminds me of the clear glass APPLE computer stores with its open glassed in architectural concept. By far, a aesthetically pleasing unique structure. The coffee is the same. As I write this review, pumpkin spiced season has begun. I do love pumpkin pie. Also that mystical nutmeg flavor does me good. I even read a book about the start of the nutmeg craze and the geopolitics of the trade. 'Nathaniel's Nutmeg', by Giles Milton was an interesting book that really helped me appreciate nutmeg beyond the taste. So, I try to put it in my coffee when available. Gotta respect what role this little spice played in south east Asia and Europe. That being said, errr written, I'm done with pumpkin spiced everything. Great location, but not so great vibe. Decent drip coffee (light roast), but not so great cappuccino. I don't know what it is about this place...I realize coffee shops are not typically packed with extrovert employees; coupled with it being early most times I visit, but the vibe of this place has sucked the last couple times I've visited. I'm not entirely sure what it is - maybe they are just so hyper focused that they forget to be friendly and welcoming. Also I know some people like or prefer a dark roast for cappuccino, but medium roast is better IMO, and they only give you one option which is a bummer. Ordered a drink via Uber Eats. Now hold on before anyone starts thinking whatever issue I might have it must be the Uber Eats driver, I can assure you it is not Uber Eats fault. What was my issue you might be asking, imaginary person I'm envisioning that I'm speaking to? Well it's simple really. If I order from say Starbucks, they make a point to seal everything. The lid has a cover so you know (or hope really) that the delivery person hasn't decided to take a secret sip or worse. It typically comes in a bag that is also sealed adding on to security of knowing my drink has not been tampered with on its way to me. Peet's had none of this. The driver walked up to my door like I had asked my homie to pick me up a drink on their way to my house. No seal on the opening, no bag with a seal letting me be doubly sure my drink didn't come with added saliva or whatever else a rogue delivery driver might decide to do. Nothing! And that my friends is 100% on Peet's. If Peet's were some one off mom and pop coffee joint, I'd give you all some slack but at this point you're sort of within sniffing distance competition wise of Starbucks so there is no excuse for this lack of drink/food security. The one saving grace is will give Peet's is at least they give you decent (plastic) straw instead of that shit show of straw the other place gives you but a decent straw doesnt make up for the possibility that maybe my Uber eats driver is a gross lunatic. Barista is prioritizing mobile orders so if you're a walk in customer you have to wait a long time for your order. They should be prioritizing on site customers first since the mobile orders will just be sitting there anyway and they aren't there to pick it up. Also, today was 85 degrees outside and the have milk just sitting outside, unrefrigerated. I ordered a iced latte and I instantly had to run to the bathroom. I get it if you're busy the milk sits outside but I was there for over 40 min and even though there were no customers and the employees were just chitchatting, never once did those milk go inside the fridge.
