This is a lovely store inside the Vally fair mall in West San Jose . The store is spacious and nicely designed that gives you holiday vibes , comfortable ambience , with tables and chairs to enjoy freshly brew coffee . There is free coffee station with two of their newest machines . Self serve or you can ask the staff to demonstrate how to make coffee. They have all kinds of sugars and sweeteners and cold fresh cream ( half & half ) for your coffee . Then you can sit down on a comfortable sofa with tiny pink coffee table to enjoy your coffee . This is absolutely the best way to promote your products . Customers can try any flavor before they buy a whole box of pods . We have two of their coffee machines at home. One was a gift from friends . They do have new coffeemaker models and new flavor from time to time . It is so convenient to make coffee in the morning when you are in a rush to go to work or school . It is also cost effective to make your own coffee then drive through a coffee shop. Highly recommended. read more

There are way too many staff members at this store. They were hovering over me, not giving me the space to look and shop, making me very uncomfortable. When I walked into the store, a staff member with a tablet asked me what I was in the store for. She also told me up front that I needed to "get on a wait list" to go to the cash register to check out and asked me if I wanted to put my name on the list. I had only made it two steps into the store and there was literally only one other customer in the store...How ridiculous is that to ask. Then when I made it to the back of the store to pull the sleeves I wanted, another employee stopped me and asked me if I need help. Like let me look around please, geez!! This store feels beautiful inside but they are trying way too hard to act premium when the store and the products should speak for themselves. This location is leaps and bounds better than the one in Palo Alto. The staff is warm and welcoming. They offer full Vertuo size samples when you stop in and browse. I do wish self service in the back for original line capsules could be easier. The limited edition ones I want tend to not be out so I have to ask for assistance, and I don't have the app because I hate adding apps to my phone, so I have to go through my emails and find my customer number every time. This process requires an employee every time so I wish there was a way to just get helped directly. read more

While we were walking through the mall, we spotted a Nespresso store. We went in to check it out. All the staff were greeting us and ready to help in any way they could. We got to try a new flavor espresso called Tanzania. It was very good. They have a really cool wall filled with all the different Vertuo pods that is automated. When you select your box and remove it from the wall, it is automatically replaced with another one. They also have a very high-tech self-checkout. You grab a bag and fill it with the boxes of pods you want to buy. You place the bag under the touch screen at the kiosk and scan your member card, and it automatically knows exactly what you selected and charges you. It was a really neat experience. I really like that you are able to taste any variety of coffee you like. They also have a lot of promotions going on as well as sales on their coffee machines. read more

What a gorgeous store! I finally had the chance to stop by the new Nespresso store this weekend after walking through the Apple store. It had been on my radar to check out the coffee boutique for a while, but it always looked crowded. This Saturday afternoon, I saw it wasn't too bad so I decided to browse. So happy I did! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted at the door. The inside is very aesthetically pleasing. Lots of pretty colors, an area to sit down, etc. They offered me a coffee sample but I don't drink coffee after 3 pm. Funny enough, I asked if they had any matcha and the guy laughed and told me there was a great matcha place upstairs in Valley Fair near the Popmart. I currently do not own a Nespresso machine but their whites ones look so pretty! Also, I heard the strawberry espresso pod is delicious. Will stop by again next time. read more

Boutique just opened inside of valley fair - across from Eataly. Good service, full coffee bar, and all of the machines and coffee options. They made us a cup of coffee while we waited to purchase. So I was walking out of the Apple Store at Valley fair and I looked up, to my delight I saw that there was a Nespresso store right across the way! I said to myself... self how cool is this that I don't have to order Nespresso coffee pods online anymore?!? As wifey and I walked in we were greeted right away and were asked if we would like to sample one of there many different coffees "they even sell Starbucks" I asked if they had a decaf espresso shot? "Of course they do" so she made me one. After enjoying the espresso wifey and I walked around checking out all things Nespresso, they actually have many different products, I must say I was quite impressed. They also have a Nespresso coffee bar where you can order coffee drinks and enjoy them at the bar. After walking around I opened an account with them and purchased two reams of coffee. They put them in a nice Nespresso paper bag with a box of free samples as well. Just an fyi Nespresso uses 85% recycle aluminum pods so there is none of that yucky micro plastics to ingest, this is quality coffee and they definitely have coffee for the most discerning of drinkers. read more

I haven't been in this location before and thank goodness I came here. This place is similar to union square in San Francisco. Very huge and organized. Staff here are kind and friendly. You can try their coffee before you purchase it. Can't get enough of their coffee. I save lot of $$$ when I brew it at home instead of getting coffees at Starbucks or Dutch Bros. Nice beautiful Nespresso boutique located in Westfield valley fair. It's lovely, bright, modern design. Staff is super friendly. There's a tasting experience where you can try some of the flavors. During Xmas we tried gingerbread coffee made to perfection by the staff. You get the glass and be able to walk around the boutique shop at your heart's content. The boutique also carries the latest espresso as well as coffee pods. I needed to de-scale, my Nespresso machine, and the Nespresso store was the only place where I thought I could get it same day. The location in San Jose is also open later than the location in Palo Alto. I came in requested what I wanted, and they were pretty fast in getting it to me. The only part that slowed down the process was that I paid in cash, and there are a few more steps for them to handle that the ambience is very upscale. And since the copy that they sample here is OEM, I can assume it's very very good. read more

Drove all the way up to Santa Clara from Salinas just to come to this location. I was so excited. I absolutely love my machine. I love all the coffee that it brews it's exceptional taste and quality has made it very hard to drink coffee anywhere else Anyways, when I bought the machine, it came with the sample pack and while it was my fault for not writing down the ones I really liked when I saw there was a location only an hour away from me where I could go and try the product I wanted to buy I was very excited Yes, when I got there, I was greeted nicely and someone got my name. I walked back to the coffee wall and a young man handed me a bag that I started putting my pods in, there were four more flavors I was interested in trying,so I had went to the area where you could try them. That's when the lady from the register came and pretty much rushed me up to the register saying she would grab me whatever I needed-I told her I was standing here because I wanted to try the coffee. She said oh yeah, we'll come up here. We'll get you all taken care of and pretty much snatch my bag out of my hand, &still brought me up to the register. That was the whole reason I drove all the way to San Jose Was so I could try before I buy, and because she was literally so pushy and rushing me out of the store, which is ironic because when I went to pay, it literally took 20 minutes at the register. She took my payment walked to the back and literally didn't come back for like 20 minutes. Maybe I'm over exaggerating and it only took 10 but it felt like 20. Now I am stuck with three sleeves of coffee. I'm not happy with because I wasn't allowed to try them. I wish I kept my receipt. I know I have an account where they can see what I purchased and probably who helped me but when I left, I was so annoyed. I think I tossed it Don't get me wrong. The location is beautiful and some people look like they were receiving exceptional service even though I purchased six sleeves of coffee I guess that wasn't a big enough purchase for them or maybe because I wasn't decked out and designer They didn't think I had the money to be there, but I do -just think if I drove an hour away to spend some money on coffee imagine if the service would've been good. I probably would've left with two bags full of coffee instead of one. To be honest, I didn't even want to continue with my purchase, but I had already driven so far I didn't want it to be a waste. I am sooooo excited this nespresso is here at valley fair! For starters i already love valley fair, and now this has made my nespresso ordering and food just perfect! the minute i walk in, the staff is super helpful in asking what services you're there for. They have the nicest staff helping get different tasters of their complimentary coffee and what pods are similar to your machine. I ordered the Nicaragua espresso original pods, along with the Paris and the Tokyo and was gifted a small pack of Miami espresso (which i lived in my latte recently). I have been waiting very impatiently for this location to open and it finally is! Palo Alto is not worth the drive for me and I've had issues in getting my orders delivered so I am so thankful to finally have a Nespresso so close to home! If you have a Nespresso you have a member number and you can self serve from the wall of pods. Only thing to note here is some stuff isn't on the floor or there are only a few sleeves out so an associate can help and they take your order and then grab everything from the back. They have a station set up in the front of the store where you can sample, today they had the pumpkin spice cake pod and they have sugar and cream. It was nice to try since I've heard mixed reviews. They also have a recycle bin so you can bring in your used pods instead of having to take them to UPS. The staff is super friendly, very welcoming and available to answer question and make recommendations. I will definitely be back on the regular to restock my pods! read more

I'm a big coffee enthusiast and came in earlier today specifically to see if there were any new coffees. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I had asked for a sample of an iced coffee and instead of brewing it fresh, I was offered coffee from a jug. When it was poured over ice, it looked watered down, tasted extremely weak and old, and lacked the foam and richness I usually love from Nespresso coffees. The store wasn't busy, yet the ladies available were talking amongst themselves rather than engaging with customers. The coffee was very underwhelming that I didn't finish it, I left it on the counter and walked out. Sadly, the other reviews are right and this location doesn't deliver the quality customer service or coffee experience I expect. I wouldn't recommend coming here again. read more

Attended Nespresso's Grand Opening in Valley Fair. Initially, I was dismayed at the long line to sign in because the alleged start time was 4pm, but I was still standing in line at 4:25pm. Once you get in, there's another line if you wanted to try their Nespresso Martini. Of course, I wanted to try the beautiful looking drink served in a coupe glass with a coffee bean on top so in another line I stood. While standing in line, I saw a few people eating hors d'œuvres. I wonder where you can get a bite? After standing around for a bit, I noticed a server with a tray of appetizers, but the server was mobbed the minute he came out from the back. On the display table, there was a sign that Eataly was catering the event. If you were patient, there was plenty of opportunity and time to try the different foods that were being served. In the mean time, you could try October's Nespresso offerings: Pumpkin Spice Cake, Sweet Vanilla Decaf, and Maple Pecan. While I appreciated the fall offerings, I was really wanting to try the new Blue Bottle Coffee called Blend No. 2. Moreover, when I asked for a Sweet Vanilla Decaf, I received a Maple Pecan. Yikes! I can't do caffeine this late in the day. Additionally, sparkling or still water was also being offered. As far as purchases of capsules and machines, the discount wasn't as significant as I would have hoped, but it was better than nothing. read more

Put your name on the waitlist immediately when entering. I was so glad they have a Nespresso in the South Bay as driving to Palo Alto was getting old. This shop is beautiful as per the other reviews. Where this falls down is it's completely disorganized, chaotic with a complete lack of customer service (another Yelper said this as she visited a few days before me and it was a spot on description, thanks Stacy!) It's a self serve place where you can go to the back wall and pick your sleeves yourself. This is an improvement. However buying these is a complete trainwreck. The self service kiosk are trying to be a Uniqlo with a deep well so you can put your item in and it'll calculate the total, however the interface that asks you for your Nespresso membership account (which no one seemed to know what that is and if they even had it) was worthless. Also the interface is large, which is great, except for the fact that you may need to enter you password, which then makes it big and bold, thus easily viewable to anyone nearby. NOT SMART. LACK OF SECURITY / PRIVACY design. Lets say you don't want to use the self service, you have to go back to the front of store and get put on a waitlist for service. So, now I'm at the store for what should have taken less than 5 minutes and I'm 10 minutes in and needed to wait another 10 minutes before someone could help me. This is because the other customers maybe knew to put their name on the waitlist as they arrived (even though they weren't there before me) and were getting help, however because it's a new store with new procedures and technology, it took a long time for anyone to get service. In fact one guy paid and was still sitting there waiting for his coffee sleeves when I had finished up. I'm hoping these are new store kinks and they work it out. I also hope management does some secret shopping to experience the flow from an outsider view and see the gaps and blindspots. Rarely do I write critical reviews, but for the $$$ of these sleeves and the atmosphere/experience Nespresso is going for, there's a huge disconnect. read more

One of these worst shopping experiences as a customer. Walk in to buy coffee right now, there's 5 employees just standing around doing literally nothing. They tell us we have to wait in line to buy coffee. There's one person helping customers the other 4 are standing around doing literally nothing. NONE of them want to help us. They now require to you give them an email to check out or won't let you checkout without. Genuinely awful service that makes me wana ditch this brand all together. Won't be coming back here again. I had a bad experience here this weekend. Walked in and saw they had sleeves of Kona (which came out a couple of days after I had ordered a bunch) and wanted to buy one! I have never purchased in store and asked someone who worked there who said they didn't know and couldn't help but to wait by the two cashiers. I decided to try the self checkout that said I needed my customer number but found no way to enter it so I decided to wait till one of the cashiers were free for troubleshooting only to be told once one was, that I would need to check in with the front and put my name on a list to be helped. Just to troubleshoot the self checkout? What? I get that they have a process, though I'd imagine it would be helpful for those having questions about machines and things, but I just wanted help using the self checkout and at least 3 employees weren't helping anyone. Ended up putting it back and it will likely be a long while before I come back to purchase in store. Please make things easier for your customers. If we just want to buy a sleeve, at least have some well thought out instructions or someone serving as self checkout support. read more

However, when I checked my receipt, I noticed I was charged for a shopping bag--even though the item was being shipped, not taken with me. On top of that, the order ended up being delivered to the store instead of my home as originally planned. Overall, the process was confusing and inconvenient. read more

So glad VF now has a Nespresso store. The store is very nice looking. Went in yesterday and bought 3 sleeves and tried to do self check out and it wasn't working. 2 workers tried to check out on the kiosk for me and it still didnt work. I was rung up and the worker went to get me new sleeves from the back. I didn't realize she rung me up for one of the wrong sleeves until I was home. I tried to call Nespresso this morning and their phone line is just giving a busy tone. I originally wanted the Stormio boost and she gave me the regular stormio. Now it's just a hassle to have to go to the mall to return/ exchange especially on a weekend. Lesson learned to now double check before I leave. read more

Unorganized, chaotic, and a complete lack of customer service. Would prefer to continue to order my supplies through the app than have to deal with this nightmare place. You walk in to have someone with a tablet ask if you are a member, who then says to go to the coffee wall and "check yourself out." Go back there and attempt to use the self checkout machines, which do not work, and I then attempt to find some assistance from one of the many workers walking around the store. Each time, one of them would tell me, "wait a few minutes," after me saying, "excuse me." After this happening over the course of about 20 minutes, I walk back up to the person with the tablet at the front. This time the person tells me that if I cannot work the self checkout, then I will need to wait in the virtual queue. I ask her how long that is, she just responds, "well, they are working, but it shouldn't take too long." After standing another 10 minutes in the store, I hear the ladies who were, I am assuming, in charge of watching over the self checkout area, scurry to the front and state that the self checkouts were down and malfunctioning, and they could no longer handle people in their area. At that point, they started directing people to sign in on the tablet for the virtual queue. At that point, I left my bag on the counter and walked out. I had already spent 30 minutes waiting to try to check out my coffee, and I didn't have much longer to wait. Maybe once they iron out their system I may try again. But as for now, I would rather go to Palo Alto instead of this horror house. It was pure chaos. read more
