small hot cocoa

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 I got a banana bread and hot cocoa, and it was a bit pricey for what it was but given you can also hang out and spend time working there it makes up for it. The music isn't too loud, I had friends take meetings here! Parking can be a bit difficult, I found street parking a block away pretty quickly however. The banana bread was yummy! Hot chocolate was a bit watery, but tastes decent. There are tables you can move around depending on your group size and outlets too. Overall a cute classic coffee place.

This is my first time trying the Oatmeal Cookie Cold Brew and no wonder it's not a menu staple and is only available for a limited time. I love the Philz signature Mint Mojito, Honey Haze and Rosé, but this drink was not it. It sounds delicious, but almost tasted like a black coffee with a splash of Oat Milk. I should've prefaced this review stating that I'm not a huge coffee fanatic so it may make sense why I wouldn't like this drink. The coffee flavor comes through strongly so if you like strong and bold coffee, this may be the drink for you. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me and makes me hesitant trying other drinks since it's $7 + tax and tip. Additionally, parking is extremely difficult in this location.

The service at this location of Philz is always amazing! This is the only location that will take the time to help you figure out what dairy free options they can customize for you. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming which is why I go out of my way to come here.

Who doesn't love themselves a nice cup of coffee especially when made right, part of the reason why we love Philz is the consistency & warm welcome we get no matter what Philz we stepped in at. As a former Starbucks barista that was one of the biggest problems we faced at the multiple locations I've worked at. Most of my companions were not really welcoming. So kudos to this particular Philz location for having a very welcoming atmosphere! Parking can be a tad bit tedious as it is located in the heart of downtown willow glen, but nonetheless we still make it a point to keep coming back lol we recommend you guys check it out yourself if you haven't done so already!

They have seasonal pumpkin spice drink :) Miss Philz coffee so much ! This location has a good assortment of pastries. They do not have the Philz bagel I get regularly in dtsj. I didn't realize the cashier didn't understand my order and that they only serve bagels with cream cheese. Clean cafe with good vibrations.

It's been over a year since the last time I was here. Same great customer service, cleanliness, and damn good coffee. i ordered the Luca's (decaf) and Tesora, Philz Way which is medium sweetness. *** they have a seasonal "Winter bliss" holiday spice drink on the menu now too!***

Philz is located right on Lincoln, close to Susiecakes. Stopped in for coffee before meeting a friend for dinner. Friendly service. You could tell the barista enjoyed his job. There is inside seating and it's very quiet and relaxing inside. I ordered the Honey Haze: Philtered Soul Cold Brew with Honey and Oat Milk. He asked, "the preferred way is creamy." I said sure. I enjoyed it.

Iced & HOT! All yummy!!!

I always love coming here! Philz is my favorite coffee places to go too! This location is great since it's in downtown Willow Glen. There's a bunch of places to eat, shop and craft things. There's staff here are always welcoming and there to help if you're having a hard time to decide what drink you want. Love going here!

Stephanie took 30 min to correct the mistake she made of ringing up one drink instead of the 2 drinks I ordered worse thing was she made no offer to make up for her mistake I would not go to this Philz at willow glen again

I usually don't get coffee at a coffee shop anymore but I splurged and Im glad I did! I don't like super sweet coffees anymore but when I saw one I thought that sounds delicious. I ordered an iced honey haze (oat milk and honey). It wasn't super sweet; with the oat milk, it was light and yummy! We ordered through the app which was best since there were a lot of people there and were able to pick it up in very little waiting time!

This is a cute place to sit and work or grab and go, I typically go! You must get there early if you want a seat. I always go for a drink whenever I'm around the area, Willow Glen downtown is cool! Parking sucks but that's to be expected for there. The parking lot is a joke. I think it fits 6 cars or so. The coffee is still some of the best around. It's worth the time finding the parking!

Ask the Community - Philz Coffee

I'm thinking about bringing my laptop to do work here, are there outlets?

Yes there are outlets and WiFi

I know Philz recently changed their business hours to close earlier. Is there a reason behind that change? Is there a plan to have later hours once school (college) is back in session?

I'm not 100%, but that sounds about right. According to their IG (@philzsj) they stated that those are their "summer hours," which implies that their hours will change again in the fall (i.e., school time).… Read more

The shop itself is a bit small, so it may not be the easiest place to study for long periods, but it has a great atmosphere, good vibes, and a very welcoming environment. The outdoor seating was a huge plus, especially with nice weather -- it's the perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy your coffee. Parking in the area can be a little tricky and it is paid parking, but that's pretty common for most downtown areas. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for quality coffee and a nice atmosphere.

The banana cream felt lacking as well. Even after mixing the cream top with the matcha, it felt unsatisfying and not enough banana flavor. I do like how the overall drink isn't overly sweet and the texture of the cream was nice. It was fairly crowded on a Thursday morning but the line to order moves quick. My drink took about 15 minutes to come out. Maybe it was just an off day? But I had higher expectations for their banana cream matcha.

The coffee shop was located at the front of a church, in a very quiet part of Los Gatos. I arrived a little after 2pm, and followed the instructions to park at one of the 5 First Time Guest Parking spots. There were plenty of other parking spaces as well. The signs to the coffee shop up the stairs were very clear. The inside of the coffee shop was bright, clean, and spacious with a cool and peaceful vibe. Service was friendly. While the tables of the banquette seating along one wall were all taken, there were plenty of other tables and chairs available. My matcha was very pretty and tasted legit. The fancy pastries (some savory/some sweet) from Neighbor Bakehouse in San Francisco all looked beautiful and yummy. The ones I tried were all delicious. The selections were limited, but you didn't have to go all the way to SF to get them. This would be a great place to have a nice cup of coffee while getting some work/study done, too.

Find myself removing my headphones to listen to what they have playing. Sometimes I feel like I'm inside an NPR segment. Lol The coffee and tea have been consistently tasty. The baristas seem poorly trained, and they don't have a solid process anymore. They've expanded their space, but that just makes the wait and confusion worse. I recently was in their new space and ordered two simple cold brews--no modifications. Where they used to pour it straight from the tap, now they treat it like a latte--and everything takes forever. If you want to linger in their aesthetic (albeit chilly) space, maybe that's fine. But if you just want takeaway coffee, be prepared to invest 20-30 minutes. The whole ensemble of textures and flavors came together very well - it also came with these two aioli type of sauces that really elevated the burrito. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was also delicious, even reheated on the second day. The bun was airy and the bacon was thick and crispy. We also shared truffle tots, which came as plain tots with truffle parmesan. Also delicious. The vienna latte was my favorite drink. The cocoa dusted cream top reminded me of tiramisu, my favorite. The double shot of espresso was rich and strong, and still carried through the thick cream top. The raspberry matcha special had a pleasant raspberry punch but it was too tart overall for my preference. It can get quite noisy, including in their new indoor/outdoor seating area. The line outside can look daunting but it moves quickly. Service was great! We paid about $28pp total. Would love to try the rest of their menu!
