Shake Tea is a cute store by Anderson's Bakery, 99 Ranch Market in Westfield's Oakridge Mall. You can shop for cute plushies, keychains, etc. while waiting for your drink(s). Order via kiosk or cashier. The service was quick. I tried one of their "Top 10 Sellers", which was unique to me. Raspberry Pomegranate Green Tea +egg pudding (+$.70). I liked it and it was refreshing but surprised it was one of their top sellers. Support your local business. read more

While walking through Oakridge Mall I stumbled upon Shake Tea, which was a place I had never heard of before and had another section that was filled with cute trinkets, crochet items and stuffed animals. The reviews looked promising and the drinks were relatively cheap in price in comparison to other places, so I figured I'd give it a shot. The server seemed relatively friendly and the ambiance was alright, considering the cute items that were on display. Had I possessed more money, I probably would've wanted to buy one of those for myself as well, but I had to make do with just the drink. I got the Black Sugar Milk Tea with 50% sugar, which turned out to a big mistake as it tasted like nothing. I am most certain that I've had cups of water that had more flavor than this. I may as well have just ordered a cup of milk and carried on with my day, because at least the milk wouldn't have left me with the feelings of guilt and regret. Overall, a big disappointment. I'm not sure exactly where the high reviews came from, but I'm assuming they're either known for something else that's far better than the Black Sugar Milk Tea or there is simply something else about this place that I missed. This is conveniently located inside the oakridge shopping mall . So you can grab a Bobba tea and do your shipping simultaneously. The person on the front counter took the order and I felt instantaneously the other person started getting it ready for us . So they were pretty quick. I like the reasonable prices and they have wide variety of flavors but I opted for the classic milk tea flavor and didn't like it . May be it was the wrong flavor that I chose . This has recently become one of my favorite places to go, especially with kids, because of how convenient it is. There's lots of places to sit in front of the shop, and the Ranch 99 food court is just across the way if the kids are hungry. The teas are all caffeinated teas, but kids can still select from a variety of smoothies, slushies, or flavored milk. The drinks a bit sweet, even with regular ice, and the smoothies and slushies are really expensive, but they give a free drink for the purchase of a gift card and another drink if you buy 4 drinks. Their gift shop is trap of cute stuff that are oftentimes very affordable. read more

This is one of few Milk tea shops inside of Oakridge Mall. The difference with this place is it sells snacks to go and other refrigerated beverages in an open concept layout. They usually have different milk or fruit tea drinks in glass dispenser bottles on their front counter which you can sample for free. I've seen people sampling the drinks and shamelessly refilling their cups. Just because it's free doesn't mean you should drink more than your one free sample! Anyways, I have gone here once before and checked into Yelp so I could use the deal they have which is, "1 free signature tea with purchase". There is of course a catch as one would and should expect. You have to buy a drink from specific lists on their TV menu screens in order to get the free deal. Not everyone likes to be bound to a specific list of drinks (myself included) so I opted for a Jasmine Milk Tea (which was not part of the Yelp deal). The drink was made quickly and it had more of a milk taste vs. Jasmine tea which I wasn't exactly a fan of. My drink experience last time was better. If I'm at the mall, I may come back and try their drinks again. read more

This the place where I buy my milk teas whenever my sugar craving is kicking in. Usually the order that I always get; 1. Jasmine milk tea with boba toppings - 25% sweetness and 50% ice 2. Green tea crema (with sea salt topping). 30% sweetness and 50% of ice. The owner told me it might be bitter, but the bitterness is not overpowering, it actually makes a good combination. 3. The Lychee milk tea drink is too sweet for me, even though I reduced the sugar level down to 25%. Location is in front of Andersen Bakery, across from Sun Poke Sushi Bar, and kids playground. The nearest parking structure is Sears Building. They don't offer any stamps promotion, but sometimes on Friday they offer buy2 get1 free. read more

This place was my go-to for boba drinks whenever I was done with classes at my community college. The first time that I went to Shake Tea was about two weeks after they first established themselves at Oakridge Mall. This afternoon, I used the kiosk to order a black sugar milk tea with honey boba and egg pudding. Next time, I'll get my usual order of Jasmine milk tea with regular sweetness and no toppings. This is a boba shop put up in the corner of Westfield Oakridge. They constantly have free samples and are basically begging any boba lover to come give them a taste. I decided to stop by, and opted for the matcha milk tea. The cashier was friendly, and smiling the whole time (we even shared a laugh over the reciept!). I waited about 3 minutes until my drink was prepared. The tea is great. It has a nice balance between tea and milk that leaves the tongue in anticipation for the next sip. There's a pleasant aroma that drifts toward the back of the tongue, pressing in the flavor of matcha. The milk is also frothy, providing a sense of "texture" where other dishes cannot provide. However, the boba itself was quite dissappointing. Too chewy in texture, it creates a battle between drink and snack. It clings to your teeth, fighting hard to be the final survivor of a sip. It is also quite sweet, creating a flavor war between mild and condensed flavors (matcha) and sweetness (honey boba). Overall, I would consider coming back here, but it would not be a first choice. read more

Another great place to grab milk tea at Oakridge Mall. This is located right next to Living Spaces. There is a large variety of drinks to select, but there is only one size. You can also customize your sugar and ice levels. This place also sells a lot of asian snacks. Its always fun to browse at all the different snacks. I ordered the Classic Milk Tea and it tasted great. After ordering, I noticed there were 3 sample drinks next to the cash register. I wish I saw that before, since those were great flavors! I accidentally ordered pickup on door dash instead of delivery and they were so considerate. Got the passion fruit and red guava green tea with honey boba and there's a check in offer for a free signature tea so got a peach with honey boba. This was inside of the Oakridge mall and I would say one of the better milk tea places in the area. There was a snack section to the side of the place that resembles a mini-grocery store but for snacks like Pocky. I ordered a Classic Milk Tea ($4.19) with boba. It took a few minutes to make my drink and my friend's drink. The Classic Milk Tea wasn't too sweet and tasted better than other milk tea places I could think of in the area. I had just moved to the area and wanted to check this place out after going to the Cinemark Theater around the corner in the mall. A friend told me they offered a 10% discount on drinks if you show them your movie stub so I did just that. Unfortunately, the server / clerk I dealt with (Katie) was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The drink was nothing to write home about either...likely because Katie left such a bad taste in my mouth. It's likely they pay minimum wage here so the staff is entirely made up of high school students with no customer service skills needing to make a quick buck. I usually do not call out rude employees by name but Katie's name was indicated on the receipt which included a tagline encouraging me to leave a Yelp Review...so here we are. Other than that, this is basically your typical Boba Tea Café with some Asian-styled snacks sprinkled in...and rude employees to boot. I doubt my review will make a difference as this place is probably set in their ways for life and will continue to employ inexperienced young-ins who just need quick cash for a month or two before moving on to another odd job.
