I've been having a craving for a Jasmine milk tea for a few days and spotted Snow Boba at 6029 Snell, San Jose, while I was waiting for a while roast duck to bake next door at the Hing Kee Dimsum & BBaq, 6033 Snell, San Jose. You definitely need to get your milk tea cravings here if you're located in the area. It's over the road bridge from Blossom Hill on Snell. The Snow Boba offers my favorite Marianne's ice cream, in wonderful flavors that you wouldn't find anywhere else. This beats going up to Santa Cruz to get your Marianne's ice cream fix! There is plenty of parking and the boba staff are nice and friendly. I will definitely need to come here when I am craving a milk tea. read more

Stoped by for the first time today to try their tea and sugar cane drink. The owner was so friendly and we shared a nice conversation. She even gave me a sample of their ice cream. It was delicious. You have to place your order at one of the kiosk. I ordered the grapefruit tea with zero sweetness and the passion fruit sugar cane drink. The sugar cane drink was super sweet and tasty. The grapefruit tea didn't taste like grapefruit but more like strong black tea. That may because I didn't want the extra sweetness. Next time I'll have them add more flavor. I took my order to go but there are seating options inside if you want to have your drink there. Looking forward to having ice cream the next time I'm there. read more

I decided to try the Marianne's Ice cream. I actually never heard of this brand of ice cream before. So I tried a scoop of Rainbow Sherbet and a scoop of Coffee. A "scoop" is actually 2 small scoops stuffed in a small paper cup. The ice cream is very good. It's creamy, not too sweet, and doesn't melt too quickly in your mouth. Ice cream is a "feel good" food. I tried the ice cream here and it was extremely disappointing. I can't speak for their boba drinks but I would strongly recommend staying away from the ice cream. I tried every flavor and unfortunately none of them tasted good. And I'm not just talking about the flavors, their ice cream tasted stale and very low quality. The milk teas are on the sweeter side and don't particularly stand out to me as it lacks tea flavor when I adjust the sweetness level. I would recommend getting sugarcane juice, specifically the kumquat sugarcane juice, because not many boba shops offer it and it's good for the price. It's also cool to see the staff make the sugarcane juice right in front of you with a machine so you know the drink is fresh and made to order. Service is chill as you mainly order on a kiosk. I ordered the lychee sugarcane with boba. It's $7 for the drink, and $.50 for Honey Boba. Total after tax, came out to $8.20. Cost is pretty fair for sugarcane when compared to other spots that offer it! And there really aren't too many places that have sugarcane juice, so I'm stoked that snow boba does. The drink itself was so delicious and refreshing! Especially on a hot spring day. The lychee flavor really comes through in the drink too. I was impressed with the quality of the boba as well! We stopped by Snow Boba today, which has been open for only a few weeks. There are a variety of drinks here. Looking at the ordering system, we were a bit confused with the limited options for sweetness. It will be nice to select 50% or 30% for less sweet in the future. Currently, the only less sweet option is 80%. I decided to go with the green guava tea with less sweet. The drinks were made fairly quickly. The green guava tea was refreshing, but it was bit too sweet for me. I also tried the black milk tea, which was just ok. It was missing something flavor wise, so I probably won't order that again. Love that this local ice cream and boba place is revamped. The interior is open and clean. You order directly at one of two kiosks and then can sit either inside or outside. We got Thai tea honey boba and the grapefruit tea with lychee jelly. Both were huge cups for the price and when you choose less sweet it really is less sweet but somehow still just as flavorful. Went in hoping to get delicious boba. Came out disappointed. Extremely overrated. Half of the store was used as a storage unit. Appliances and windows on ice cream display case were grimy. Shaker and pitchers used to mix the teas were disgusting. Toppings they probably use on ice cream were filthy. Even the stand and napkin dispensers were gross. Wished I would've checked the place out more before ordering, otherwise I would've never got anything from this nauseating spot. The drinks themselves were below par. Coconut shake had no flavor to it. Tasted like milk with tapioca. No coconut whatsoever. Brown sugar milk tea was mediocre. Asked for extra sweet, did not get that. Even though you order on the tablets, you pay with an employee at the counter. I got the soursop sugarcane drink which was good, the soursop wasn't too strong. The matcha and honeydew were alright drinks. The strawberry milk tea was very underwhelming, it tasted like a berry tea bag that was just steeped. I can see why this place is rated very highly Bro and I have been here five times in the past year and the owner is super nice first time around let us sample some of the ice cream flavors maybe pricey but simply delicious. Snow Boba is located on Snell Avenue right off Blossom Valley at the Nob Hill Shopping Center ample parking with several restaurants, nail salon, liquor store and of course there's Starbucks for those early risers.. Bro and I came by this afternoon placed our orders using one of two self serving kiosk machines or go on line whichever is more convenience and by the way they don't accept cash payable by credit/debit card only. I chose the passion fruit regular ice less and Bro had the grapefruit tea regular ice less sweetness both were price at $5 each regular size far cheaper than its competitors. Both drinks had really good boba and tasted great!! For the ice cream, they serve Marianne's so they had a good selection of flavors. Got 1020 and strawberry cheesecake, and it was delicious. Overall good selection of drinks and ice cream. Also loved the service. Staff were very kind and friendly. Indoor seating was allowed and so we were able to spend some time to chill before going. Snow Boba is located in the Santa Teresa Square with some parking, it was semi busy when I went, but I found parking fairly easily. The exterior kind of blends in the plaza, but the interior is more bright and slightly modern. The ordering process was a bit strange, you order through the kiosk, then pay at the counter with the employees instead of one smooth transaction. I ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba. The milk tea was a bit grainy and watery - it did not have a good creaminess nor a good floral tea taste to it.
