Nowadays, a Starbucks in just a walk-in space without a drive-thru seems quaint, at least in California where we live in our cars. Figuratively, if not sometimes, literally. Dear Hubby and I were in San Jose to visit relatives and needed some sustenance. After lunch at West Coast Sourdough, we walked over to Starbucks to get a Frappuccino for an afternoon boost. The drink was well prepared, the shop was clean. Service was good. One of the main challenges of this location is that it's in a busy strip mall and parking can be tough to come by. Not having a drive-thru option makes it not as convenient to patronize this location. read more

I've never had an experience like this at Starbucks before. During my visit, baristas were braiding hair while taking orders. When a customer raised a concern about hygiene, the response was dismissive, and the behavior continued. Regardless of hand washing, handling hair while serving food and drinks is not appropriate. This really needs to be addressed by management. Supposedly the one braiding was a supervisor which sets the tone for the store. Do better. read more

I started to come to this location on my morning walks, and I order the same drink just about everyday, and there is a barista named Serena who makes it, literally, THE BEST. Idk how but it just tastes better when she makes it, lol. She is always super friendly as well, sometimes I have my pup and she is super considerate of him and offers either water or a pup cup. I just have to say that I had the most wonderful service at Starbucks this morning. I have been coming in consistently to get my iced vanilla latte and breakfast sandwiches this past week and between yesterday and today, I had to replace my debit card due to suspicious activity. I was issued a temporary card which doesn't include the chip and upon ordering my usual order, my card was not being accepted. I didn't realize that it didn't have a chip until it was too late, and we tried other options to accept it, but it wouldn't work. My barista was Blair, and he had consistently seen me coming in over the course of the past week as well. He was so sweet and kind, and as I'm scrambling to figure out what else I can do, he actually covered my coffee and sandwiches. I was absolutely shocked and replied to him, "Seriously? Omg, are you sure?" it was so unexpected and it was incredibly gracious of him to do that for someone. I really enjoy coming to this particular Starbucks because it is all inclusive and filled with diverse people who really do care and pay attention to their customers. I always see regulars coming in with big smiles and the social interactions are always positive. I know this isn't relative for every location , and there are Starbucks on every corner in the city, but this is certainly one that takes the cake for me and will always appreciate the team who works there. read more

I believe in giving everybody chance. I go to the Starbucks on most Sunday mornings four weeks in a row since last month. I order on the app and when I come in to pick it up, I always say hey good morning thank you not one employee can't even take a half a second to lift their head. Yes I know they're busy blah blah blah, but I pay over five dollars for a drink. I expect some customer attention. It's always the same crew. I think they need a change up. i'm not sure why this location has so many negative reviews. i've been a couple of times this year and the staff is always friendly, funny, helpful, cheerful, and energetic. they take covid precautions seriously and they look like they have a good time. it looks like they're maneuvering well despite the current circumstances in these unprecedented times. the last time i was there i ordered at the door, they were all wearing masks, greeted me kindly, made my drink exactly how i asked, and were cleaning the service area in-between customer interactions. they had hand sanitizer available for customers to use, the menu was readable, and i felt comfortable. the cashier even took the time to combine my gift cards - i didn't even know that was an option. of course i had to wait a little while for my drink since i don't use the mobile app to order. the biggest concern i have is with the other customers not wearing their masks nearby the store and to pick up their drinks, but there isn't a mandatory mask mandate so there's nothing that i or the employees can do there. all coffee shops are in the service and industry and they're doing the best they can to serve their customers. in my opinion, some people just need to be a little more patient and understanding. read more

Park outside of the front and watch grumpy people walk in there for a cup of joe. This Starbucks is notoriously bad. People in Willow Glen know to go to the Lincoln or Lenn Starbucks over this location. For some reason the drinks are low on flavor and and they miss items all the time. I stopped today just because it was close to my house and got a Chestnut Prailine Latte and It was missing whip cream and the sprinkle on top and was weak on any flavor. This place is an absolute joke. I used to frequent this store because I live nearby but I couldn't stand paying for expensive drinks that were made wrong EVERY TIME I ORDERED. Contrary to some reviews, I'd consider this Starbucks to be one of the best in Willow Glen! The area around this store isn't bad at all, and you could stop for some quick meals or the nearby park as well. The community is very kind! The employees always seem happy to work there, and in the 4 years that this location has been my regular stop, it's been great to see the evolution of some of the employees there- you can tell they're dedicated to their job! The store itself is kind of small- but always seems to have a cozy ambience. The mobile order service isn't hard to figure out, and the set up of chairs and tables is kept tidy. As for the drinks themselves, my family has always had a great experience with our orders here! Especially my usual espresso. When asking for modifications, the drink still comes out just as I wish it to! It's always been a pleasure to buy my coffee at this store, and I'll keep on supporting the business here. read more

The thing about Starbucks is that it's fairly consistent in all of it's locations. What sets them apart is their customer service. This Starbucks in Willow Glen has outstanding customer service. Each time I have gone here I have been greeted in a friendly, welcoming manner. Big smiles and a sincere question like, "How is your day going?". Then they actually listen when I answer. My orders have always been correct here and the staff seems focused on taking care of their customers as well as doing a great job of keeping the store clean and the cases stocked. The managers set the tone for this store by being upbeat and attentive. At least one staff member will wish me a great day when I am leaving. I look forward to going to this Starbucks when I am in Willow Glen. read more

I stopped by this Starbucks wanting a bit of a pick me up and I have mixed feelings if I got it. The Barista was friendly... to the woman in front of me. For a good few minutes after she rang her up they stood chatting. Which would have been fine, great service in fact if I hadn't been standing right behind her, waiting patiently. When she finally acknowledged me, and not in a rude or mean way as you would think I gave my order as I do at Starbucks, was run up quickly and moved aside to wait for my drink while they still chatted. Why??...suspense....because the THREE other Starbucks..on Bascom next to Whole foods at Hamilton, and the one near EBAY cross street( You will see EBay employees ALL day at that place...(wheres your ordered product?) AND downtown Campbell don't calibrate their grinders. I've asked all 3 places when I lived past 2 years. So this Starbucks the employees are friendly, care and make your drink in a good amount if time. I fell in love again at this place. The butterscotch frap was good and the company was even more amazing. The setting was nice, the seating very cozy, even the outside was very welcoming. I prefer to frequent Willow Glen Coffee Roasting Co downtown... but in moments of desperation I have stopped at this Starbucks, as it's on my way in to the office. It's standard Starbucks... and I just drink regular drip coffee or the occasional cappucino so I can't comment on the drinks but I do like the sandwiches and panini's. Makes for a good on the go breakfast. Nice people. Fast service. Parking is a bit of a pain though... small lot. Be careful backing out. read more
