Have been wanting to eat here for ages and finally made it in. Was relatively easy to get a Saturday reservation in mid April. Don't recommend getting a dirty martini but the wine was fine. Appetizers and pasta were good and the free cannolis were incredible. I don't normally enjoy cannolis and I ate the whole thing. Service was kind of slow and music was really loud but overall the experience was enjoyable and the prices were good for NYC.

A pleasant eatery that is very much "hole-in-the-wall" vibes. I ordered the arancini riceballs which were quite flavorful and the marinara sauce on top wasn't too sweet which I always appreciate. For my entree, I got a specialty pasta in a lamb ragu sauce with orange zest. While lamb isn't for everyone, it added a new dimension of flavor to the dish and wasn't too gamey in nature. Pasta was well cooked and sauce was tasty. Service was great as well. They consistently checked up on the table to ensure everything was good and we had everything we needed. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a hearty Italian meal in a less formal setting, this is definitely a place I'd recommend. You definitely get a good portion for the price and a huge selection.

I really wanted to love this place. My friend had raved about it. The staff were all Italian and the pastas are handmade. The bread and olive oil was tasty and the olive oil was rich and flavorful. The pastas are handmade, but the only one we loved was pasta guisto -which is their signature dish however the pancetta made it very salty We did not like codfish ravioli, casoncelli, cacao fettuccine, garagenelli with lamb. The pasta were perfectly cooked, but the dishes did not execute on flavor, profiles, balance. I might go back and try a few other dishes (friends like the BUCATINI AMATRICIANA and papperdelle), which we did not order )but overall was not impressed. My friends did like the alcoholic drinks they had. Otherwise, it is good for large parties, but I cannot recommend it based on the food we ate

This place grabbed me in from social media posts. A little hard to get a reservation so took what I was able to get -1 PM. Ambiance is nothing special. A narrow long space with counter seats available. Tiny tables for 2. Started with a pistachio martini which was so good I wanted to guzzle it. My friend had the apple salad and I had the baby kale salad. Nice presentation but it was a little too oily. Also shared Gamberi shrimp appetizer. Better bring gum because it was soooooo garlicky but delicious clean shrimp. My main was lasagna. His was rigatoni carbonara. I never send anything back but I'm eating the lasagna and it either didn't have noodles or they were so soft it just melded together with all the other ingredients. The waiter told me that fresh made lasagna noodles don't have that chew that other pastas have , so back it went and I got bucatini which was delicious and had that al dente chew that I was looking for. We were busting full at this point but onward and upward to desert!! Tiramisu it was with 2 complimentary cannolis which were amazing. If you eat as much as we did , expect a large bill. Ours was $169. A bit much for pasta. (Including tip) The pasta is delicious and home made.

I've been wanting to try this place forever, and I was in the area and finally got the chance to do so. The Good: * Pasta is handmade, you can watch in the front window as pasta is cut and shaped into different varieties. * Nice wine selection, Montepulciano wine was very good * Clean interior, attentive and friendly staff I only tried two pastas, Pasta Giusto, tagliatelle tossed in a parm wheel and mixed with crispy prosciutto. My friend got the Tagliatelle with porcini and black truffle sauce. So I can't speak to the full menu, but I fully enjoyed the Pasta Giusto. Sauce was thick, and prosciutto abundant. I don't really enjoy prosciutto on charcuterie boards, but having it crispy in this situation where it was cooked was absolutely delicious. 10/10. The OK: * The tagliatelle was a little bland to me. It definitely had a mushroom flavor that came through more than the truffle, but it just seemed to be missing something. * A bit pricey

Love this restaurant! This place reminds me of restaurants I frequented during my travels in Italy. The place is well decorated, clean and great for date night, business meal or just a casual meal with friends. The wait staff is friendly, well trained, knowledgeable and incredibly attentive. I've eaten here twice and both were memorable. First time with my daughter. We ate the squid ink pasta with clams and the pappardelle with wild boar ragu which was as tasty as that prepared by my favorite restaurant in Torino, Italy. Both were delicious and incredibly prepared. My next visit to Pasta Eater I took my daughter plus four cousins. We decided to order six different pastas and created our own tasing menu. All of the pastas were incredible and loved by everyone. Overall, this will be my go to restaurant for pasta in NYC. Cheers!

This place was recommended for their fresh, hand made pasta and great service. I decided to give them a try and chose to sit at the bar. I was greeted right away and asked whether I wanted sparkling or still. That's still something I have to get used to every time I come to NY! I had already seen the menu online but wasn't aware of the drinks. Unbeknownst to me, they have two happy hours, so I def took advantage. I chose the pistachio martini for my first drink but ended up not caring for it. I then chose a regular Cosmo and was satisfied. They gave me bread and oil and I chose the kale Caesar to start and the fusilli pesto as my main. The bread and oil were ok. I was a little disappointed the bread was cold as most bread service I'm used to was hot. Fortunately, the oil more than made up for it as it was fresh. The kale Caesar was pretty good but I was surprised when I tasted spinach and NOT kale. It wasn't bad but had a ton of dressing. Shortly after finishing, my fusili arrived. I savored each bite of pesto and each bite was better than the next. I asked for my check in Italian and that's where the real fun began. I'm unsure if it's standard, but they gave me a shot of limoncello and a small cannoli. The shot hit the spot and gave me a jolt of energy that I was missing. The cannoli was the perfect size; not too big, not too small but just right. I ended up calling my friend who's Italian because he's Napolitano and one of the guys working there was too. All in all, the service and food couldn't have been better. I throughly enjoyed my visit and can't wait to come back!

Ok ... so Wow! Saw this place on YouTube. We had some amazing homemade bread with their house organic olive oil. The bread is amazing We then tried the arancini. It was very good. The presentation was really beautiful. For dinner I had shrimp Alfredo. It was very tasty and delicious. Service was great and the place is very clean with a nice vibe. A must try if your in Manhattan

We went in for the lunch special. Service was good, and place was cozy. Vodka pasta was not bad but it was bland. Also got the appetizer plate, and the calamari, cured meats, and arancini were super dry. I took the pasta home and added my own burrata and seasoning which helped.

Delicious pasta! We got the octopus salad which was mostly octopus and not much salad which I'll gladly take! The pastas were pretty solid but overall a bit salty. Service was great! Restaurant was a decent size but a bit crowded!

I recently dined here with my husband for our anniversary. We made reservations through OpenTable and good thing we did since this place was popping with patrons. I saw them on my feed from the Pasinis on social media and we had to come see what this place offered. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated. Fresh pasta being made everyday in front of house. We started with some of their house Pinot Grigio and the buratta appetizer served with sliced sweet grape tomatoes and a pesto sauce. Wow we loved how refreshing this dish was. The combination was the perfect bite. It was also great spreading some on the fresh focaccia bread they gave for the table. For the mains my husband got the lasagna and I got their signature dish- pasta giusto. The lasagna was perfect. It had a nice robust tomato sauce and had layers of pasta that was so soft and delicate. A dish I would consider getting next time myself. The pasta giusto was a show itself. It's finished table side being tossed in a wheel of parmigiano and crispy prosciutto. For me it was a little on the salty side for me because of the prosciutto. There were generous portions, so I took the leftovers home. Dessert we had shared the Nutella tiramisu and the cannolis. The cannolis had a nice crisp shell with the creme which truly shined being smooth and light. The tiramisu was super creamy and just the right balance and great ending to the meal. Definitely will be back in the future.

The eatery is pretty small - make sure to make reservations during holiday time. In a regular day/time period you should be able to get in just fine. Since the venue is small, the tables are close together too. You'll no doubt hear other conversations. The service was excellent and found them to be very attentive. I went with a group of friends and decided to get something on the much lighter side - peach salad. While it was very good, I think they could have offered a little more lettuce. I did get to try the Parpadelle and found it to be very good - they make the pasta the day of.

My friend wanted to try this place so we went. I got the tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffles. This was the least flavorful dish I've ever had. The pasta had an overwhelming egg flavor and the sauce was so one dimensional it had taste. I asked for salt but it was so clumpy I didn't want to use it. I asked for Parmesan and for a real Italian restaurant I was expecting actual parm not the powder stuff. I took it home and tried to add some flaky sea salt and real parm but it still wasn't worth the price. My friend got the pasta in the wheel and hers was much better than mine

Fabio. Warm, welcoming, and unmistakably Italian, he guided us through the menu like a dear friend hosting us in his own home. The cacio e pepe? Perfection. Creamy, peppery, and balanced with that unmistakable touch of Northern Italian craftsmanship. It's the kind of place you want to keep to yourself, but Fabio and his team deserve a full house every night. Go. Eat. Savor. Then thank Fabio for the journey.

Was also thoughtful in handing us our orders correctly which was nice. For the food itself I heard good things and was hoping to love it more-- but I think I was slightly disappointed. The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give this place another try on another day..

I watched 3 separate groups of people leave while waiting for her, and she barely offered any updates on the wait time. After 15 minutes she asked us again how many people were in our group as if she had forgotten we were already waiting at the entrance. Once we were seated and looking at the menu, they brought us a single piece of cold bread. All the reviews about the undercooked pasta were true, I ordered the La Devozione (the tomato sauce spaghetti) and the pasta was almost crunchy because of how undercooked it was. The sauce was also incredibly greasy/oily, like the equivalent of an entire Costco pizza amount of neon orange oil. For $33, I am appalled at the quality of this dish. When our waiter brought the check, he hovered over our shoulders and watched as we entered the amount we tipped. He wasn't happy with what he saw and just rudely tossed the card back onto the table at us. For a place that advertises itself as high quality Italian, it's actually just sickening.
