    CHICKEN PARM HERO
    Judy C.

We were able to be immediately seated at the counter, ordered the fried calamari and a chicken parm on hero. Calamari also included fried Italian peppers, light crispiness and not oily, came with marinara sauce and spicy mayo dips. The hero bread was great, soft with lots of sesame seeds. We're served quickly and waitress was very pleasant.

Parm has been around a while, and I finally made it to the original location. It's classic, old-school Italian-American comfort food. The space is pretty small and they don't take reservations, so keep that in mind. I grabbed a seat at the bar during happy hour, weekdays from 3 to 7. The drink menu is limited, but a white wine did the job. It does get busy, though the bar is full service, which helps. We started with the garlic bread, cut into six pieces and sprinkled with parm. You HAVE TO add the fresh mozzarella. *chef's kiss* I went with the chicken parm platter, which came with rigatoni carbone. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The spicy vodka sauce was good but could have used a bit more heat. The chicken parm itself was solid and comforting. Overall, I'd recommend it and would definitely come back.

Parm 248 Mulberry St. New York, NY 10012 The name of this mini restaurant chain enticed me to explore their CP entrée. The ambiance is casual with oldies music playing in the background. This plate was on the spicy side; this the first time I was offered red pepper seasoning for the dish. The fusilli was smothered in creamy vodka sauce and was very tasty. The only drawback about the pasta was there was an overwhelming amount; I would have preferred a slightly larger cutlet and less pasta. The cutlet itself was overall decent. There was a perfect ratio of mozzarella cheese and sauce and the basil leaf added a nice flavor. The sauce on the cutlet was not the same was the sauce on the fusilli, but I still enjoyed it. The cutlet definitely needed more breading. #chickenparm #chickenparmesan #parm #parmnyc #chickenparmreview #fusilli

Absolutely delicious chicken parm. Adequate portions - not big enough to share between two people but still really good. If you get there early they have happy hour deals too. Note the location is very small so you might end up eating at the bar or waiting for a table to open up. Can't wait to go back again soon

Our server, Sarah was so easy-going and helpful in her suggestions. Scored an outside table. Thanks very much, Sarah!

It was a beautiful Friday in early November - in the 60s during the day and night about 50. Not so bad! We had a long day of touring lower east side and stayed in battery park city. But, walked all over SoHo and NoLita and found ourselves in Little Italy and turned on to Mulberry Street. We passed a bunch of places but since it was so nice out felt like walking the length of blocks to see what looked good. Our daughter wanted Italian, so we were in the right place! We saw a line outside of Parm with many food delivery drivers waiting for orders as well as others queuing for a table. Our daughter had just eaten next door at the Gray Dog a month ago, so that was a funny coincidence finding Parm. We were told we could get a table in the back past the vibrant and active bar seating. But, we opted to wait to sit outdoors. We still wanted to enjoy the great weather and have al fresco dining! So glad we waited. Shoutout to Sarah, our server - who was super helpful, friendly and patient with our questions and recommended the Gavi white wine asked difference between the gavi or verdicchio white wine to order - said it was still Happy Hour (3-7pm M-F) and it was a FriYay! Ordered prosecco and very much enjoyed the refreshingly crisp bubbly! Who can pass up Chicken Parm at a place called, Parm? I definitely couldn't and it didn't disappoint. Not only was it a large portion of both chicken and fusilli, it was all my husband raved about days later remarking it was one of the best Parms he's ever had! We 3 shared a good portion of it. I couldn't eat the entire order myself. Our daughter ordered the rigatoni Carbone which was luscious, creamy pasta to dream about. Spicy but not so much you couldn't put your fork down. kept wanting more. We all would definitely order that again! Husband's fusilli bolognaise was tasty but believe the pasta was just a little overdone. But, we enjoyed it still. The appetizers were good and nice portions of, standard apps - fried calamari that we ate so quickly, and the fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. We really enjoyed Parm and eating outdoors! The street is closed off to traffic so you can relax and converse without cars whizzing by. Funny thing also is we stayed at the Conrad in Battery Park City and the next day we looked out our window and right across the street was another Parm restaurant! Glad we went to Mulberry Street though because we went around the corner and ventured for Italian pastries! Parm had cannolis and ice cream, which I'm sure are also good. But, we wanted to walk a bit and sit in a cafe. Thanks again for a memorable evening. Will be back.

Mozzarella sticks - these could sink the Titanic

Super tiny restaurant that barely has room for anybody except for sitting at the bar. My goodness is it tiny! Best to go when it is not so busy so you will not be thrown aside. Business size aside, this restaurant serves up some of the tastiest (and also some of the most expensive) pasta in Manhattan. That is why the review is only getting three stars out of five. The quality is amazing, and from my understanding, the owners of this restaurant have also opened two other restaurants of similar quality, Carbone and Torrisi. They are both two pasta shops that I hope to try one day. In the meantime, this review is about Parm, the original location in Little Italy. I followed my advice and went during Happy Hour, where they serve $6 appetizers. I went with the mozzarella sticks, and at first, it seemed like a good decision as you get plenty of them (six to be exact) along with marinara sauce. They look pretty, and definitely look homemade, but after that, I ran into problems. The mozzarella sticks are super dense, enough to sink the Titanic. I felt like if I ate all six of them I would not be able to eat my dinner. This was a disappointment. The Rigatoni Carbone was what I got for dinner and that is a winner in every sense of the word. It has great spice, but not too spicy. A nice amount of acid from the sauce, the pasta is cooked to a perfect al dente. The sauce is layered layered beautifully and it is the perfect portion. Finally, someone in Manhattan gets it right. I could not stop eating this because it really is a great dish. Before arriving here, I had heard they make a very good Italian hero, so to compensate without compromising, I got one to go so I can have one for lunch the next day. I hope it holds up, but just to be sure, I asked two employees if it would, and they concurred. Why three stars if the pasta is so amazing? It goes back to my original point. This is expensive pasta for what I received. Yes, the portion is decent and the meal is terrific, but I should not be paying what I paid overall. $50 for a plate of pasta and a ginger ale is way too much (because of the mozzarella sticks disaster my server removed them from the bill). I also felt crammed and out of place at such a restaurant. This caters to the wealthy. I am not made of money. The people next to me screamed NY transplants to the point that I felt that I was the one who did not belong, and I am from here! That hurt. I will keep it as a bookmark as I will likely order here again for takeout, but that will likely be a long shot. A tiny long shot, much like the size of this restaurant.

Most dry chicken I have ever had. I ate 3 bites and didn't eat anymore. Why I am writing to you is because I told me server it was dry when she took it away and she didn't apologize or do anything. I have a photo of the plate she took and she 100% should have said why did you not eat anything of this. Really dissapointing meal. Caesar salad was great! Carbone rigatoni is better but this wasn't too far off for the price.

We did takeout so not sure about service or ambiance. Sandwiches are just okay, bread could be crisper and fluffier. Pizza knots were solid. It's just a bit expensive for deli food.

CHICKEN PARM PLATTER PENNE SCAMPI GARLIC BREAD
    Melissa H.

Yummy italian spot in Soho!! Apparently a very longtime staple. Their scampi was sooo good. I was choosing between this and the chicken parm but the waitress said that the Penne Scampi is her personal favorite so of course I had to get that! I really recommend it. I havent had penne pasta quite like this, but it was super flavorful. My friend got the chicken parm platter which was so huge, good bang for ur buck. Garlic bread was pretty good too. I thought it'd just be a stick, but turned out to be a whole loaf. Buttery! Calamari was not too bad either. Great if you're in the area and craving some italian food

I've been to Parm before but at a food hall in Las Vegas so I was excited to actually visit one of their stores. I came here on a Sunday night and was seated immediately. Staff were super nice and friendly! I ordered the Chicken Parm Plate and Garlic Bread. I wasn't a big fan of the garlic bread but the chicken parm plate was really good. The pasta that came with it was a little spicy but I liked it! I had ordered the plate to be shared and they already split it for us, which was really nice. I got the Chicken Parm Sandwich last time and liked it better, so I'd get that if I went back. Overall, great Italian spot!

Service great, no doubt about that one. Ambiance also good love the vibes and feel in there. Food however has increasingly downhill. Went twice in one week to see if it was just a off day. Rigatoni almost no sauce both times dry as heck and for the price that portion is lacking bad. Won't be returning and wasting my hard earned money there anymore. Don't know what happened but i use to always recommend this place to people. I can see and understand the ratings now.

Actually had reservations at another restaurant and they couldn't seat us so we took a walk and saw Parm. Parm is one of my favorites on the west side and this location in Nolita has so much more character with the same great food. It's a small restaurant with a casual chill vibe. There are tables in the back and we were able to get 2 seats at the bar. Food at Parm is seriously good - I dream of the Rigatoni Carbone. The dish that made Carbone famous. The Al dente rigatoni is tossed in a spicy vodka sauce. It is delicious and a solid choice. The Arugula - a nice salad with arugula and topped with a fig vinaigrette and fresh Parmesan cheese. Great service, even though they were quite busy. So happy I found this location.

Okay so there's a lot of excellent restaurants in Little Italy. Sometimes when my family gets together we decide to have a menu we are familiar with and enjoy. Having been to Parm's other locations we were pleased that the food and service was the same as we expected. My daughter typically gets Eggplant Parmesan either the sandwich or the meal. With the meal we get complementary bread and butter. I am partial to the Turkey Sandwich prepared without anything I'm allergic to like tomatoes. The servings are so generous that everyone gets a doggie bag. Service was timely and attentive without being overzealous. If you are in this neighborhood I suggest you check out the menu. Our visiting family members were pleased and so were we.

Every visit reminds you why Parisi has survived since 1903 while trends and neighbors came and went. Let's talk about The Dennis--the undisputed star and a true signature sandwich. This thing is a monster, built on Parisi's legendary fresh-baked bread that somehow stays crisp, chewy, and perfect no matter how much goodness gets piled inside. You get a crispy breaded chicken cutlet layered with thin-sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and (if you know what you're doing) roasted red peppers. It's all brought together with their house balsamic blend and basil herb spread/pesto--bright, savory, and completely addictive. I cannot confirm or deny that the sandwich is named after me, but I can confirm it's flawless. Pro tips: * Cash only, old-school rules apply. * Come hungry or plan ahead--this sandwich is big enough to share or save half for later, and it still eats beautifully round two. * Tip the sandwich makers. These folks are artists, and the tip box deserves some love. Beyond the food, Parisi is living New York history. From its origins as an Italian bakery on Mott Street, to feeding generations of locals, to being famously beloved by Frank Sinatra (yes, the bread was shipped to California), this place is woven into the fabric of Little Italy/Nolita. Legends like De Niro and Scorsese are fans, and you can still feel that old-world soul--right down to the original brick oven relic resting in the basement. Parisi isn't just a deli. It's continuity. It's tradition. It's proof that when you do one thing incredibly well for over a century, people keep coming back. And once you've had The Dennis, you will too.
