    Bucatini in pink sauce
    Lauren M.

Stopped in on a rainy weekday and was the only one here! It's a cute restaurant. I sat at the bar. Had a Sprite and bucatini in pink sauce. Holy crap the pink sauce was sooo good! They give you free bread and olive oil to start, the desserts looked good but I was too full to try them. Service was great. One small bathroom in the back of the restaurant. Would definitely come back.

INCREDIBLE SPOT !! Snuggled into this block, spaghetti incident is the definition of a HIDDEN gem! The coziest atmosphere, lowkey street, you feel right at home. The owner works the front of house and is the kindest soul you'll ever meet. He is so kind and accommodating, I can't say nicer things about him. Now the atmosphere is exactly what you want in NYC. Snug, filled in, cozy. 10/10. The food is outstanding. Came for Valentines Day and had the best experience. Had a Cesar salad, mixed arancini, bolognese, spinachini, half liter of wine (insanely good deal), and the pana cotta. Food was just outstanding. Came out in the most perfect flow. Could not have been a better lowkey Valentine's Day out. You did not feel rushed out of there, service was perfect. Everything on the menu was just delicious -- the pana cotta was the best end to the night. I cannot wait to come back to this most special place. Cheers -- what you have is so special!!

Called ahead to check on walk-in availability and the receptionist was super pleasant and let us know they had space -- such a great start to the evening. After a quick stop at Bon Bon Swedish Candy, we headed over and loved the cozy interior. Our server was very helpful with pasta and wine recommendations, and every dish we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend pairing your pasta with the Montepulciano. Will definitely be back! Would recommend this spot for a date night!

Perfect little spot. Quiet and comfortable. Food was beautifully made with love and tasted delicious. Carbonara was silky and delicious. The arancini trio were all delicious as well. Hard to choose a favorite!

Thrilled to be able to update my previous review from a 4 star review to a now 5 star review! We had the opportunity to visit Spaghetti Incident again a few weeks ago. Happy to find that everything is still spectacular and now, it is no longer cash only! Food is still phenomenal, only to be outdone by their incredible & attentive staff. Every time I leave Spaghetti Incident, I'm ready to return. If you haven't gone yet, what are you waiting for?!

Fresh homemade pasta for a decent price. Make sure to make a reservation especially on the weekend since it's small. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I appreciated that they let us sit and chat after we finished our meal and we were finishing our wine. I had the salmon asparagus dish. The pasta was cooked perfectly but the entire dish ended up smelling and tasting fishy from the salmon. I would be open to trying a different dish next time but I wouldn't recommend. My friend had the pesto special and she didn't love the pesto sauce.

Such a cute hole in the wall! I am so glad I finally made my way to spaghetti incident. They had such a nice and cozy atmosphere and a great staff. We ordered a Cesar salad, the tomato spaghetti and pesto spaghetti. Everything was so delicious! The tomato spaghetti was super fresh and the pesto was so flavorful. The portion sizes were great as well. We finished off the night with cappuccinos which was great.

I was so impressed by Spaghetti Incident! I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it. We were struggling to find a last minute dinner spot on Saturday. Many places in the area were all booked up and we saw an opening here, it ended up being such a delicious meal. The restaurant is cozy and dimly lit. Not a huge space, probably best for a date night or a small group of friends. Their menu is stacked with pasta dishes, and the waiter told us about some specials. Some options include fresh pasta, others a dry pasta, but all of that is detailed on the menu. To start, we shared their Arancini Mix. This was a fun app, we all had different favorites. For main, I ordered the Chitarra pasta which was a fresh tomato sauce with pieces of mozzarella. We also got the rigatoni salsiccia and the mushroom truffle pasta. Our table also ordered the special pasta of the night which had pancetta in a cream sauce. All the food was really delicious. It tasted so authentic and fresh. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! It's a very good option in the area.

I am so glad we happened across this spot on Resy! The service was outstanding. We came for my partners brothers birthday. It's very cozy and you feel like family. The FOH workers were all amazing and the food was incredible. All three entrees (listed in the photo) were delicious. We will definitely be back when we are in the city!

4 stars is just about right. I remember it tasting like 5 stars years ago. I'm mostly giving them kudos for homemade pasta and homemade taste. Food was all missing some flavor.

Cozy dining room and friendly staff. The wait staff was super helpful and as usual we went in without a reservation and they graciously gave us a table immediately. Started the meal with a mix Arancini, all three were flavorful and crunchy as anticipated, lasagna and ragu bolognese for our main course and ended the meal with a chocolate cake. Nothing to be blown away by but overall a good meal.

I was at this tasty Italian spot a while ago for dinner with one of my groups, where we shared a…read morebunch of dishes as per usual. The place wasn't super crowded, but there were eventually some people there. The place felt comfortable, and the service was friendly. To drink, I got the Blood Orange Negroni for $17 with Hendricks gin, Campari, sweet vermouth, fresh blood orange juice, and a slice of orange as garnish. I usually prefer Negronis that lack Campari as I find that liquor to be a bit too sweet, at least as far as amaro goes, but this was tasty and better balanced as the juice and gin helped to reduce the sweetness. I would recommend it. They gave us some fresh bread with some good olive oil to begin with, which was tasty. Our only appetizer was the $18 Fried Trio, listed as a tempting mix of crispy fried goat cheese w/ honey & chili oil, carbonara arancini, and capers croquettes. This also came with some tomato sauce for dipping, presumably primarily for the arancini. My preference of the bunch was the fried goat cheese due to the bit of funk and spice. I also liked the arancini as the texture was nice, while my least favorite were the croquettes. This was a nice mix, though perhaps a bit salty. For main dishes, we got two pastas, which were both $19, and two entrees. My favorite of the entrees easily was the Mushroom & White Truffle Lasagna with shiitake, porcini, and cremini blend of mushrooms, béchamel sauce, truffle ricotta, and fresh mozzarella on top. Many lesser spots would mix all these things and make the dish a bit too earthy or almost perfumy from the truffle and mushroom flavor, but not this one. There was just enough of the béchamel and cheese that it was pretty balanced. The pasta texture was nice also. This was rich but delicious, and easily worth the price. I wasn't as big a fan, though that is more because of a caveat, of the Hot Rigatoni Vodka With Guanciale & Sausage, listed as rigatoni pasta in a creamy, spicy vodka sauce, paired with rich guanciale and spicy sausage. I generally prefer guanciale in dishes like pasta alla gricia rather than in already spicier tomato sauces, as I tend to find that the flavor doesn't shine through as much. Otherwise, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of meat inside. We liked both of the mains also. A slight preference goes to the Flounder a la Francese for $26, with lightly battered flounder pan-fried to golden perfection and finished with a delicate white wine and lemon butter sauce. It was a large piece of fish, and it was indeed tender with a light batter. There were plenty of capers, but it wasn't too salty, and the bit of pasta on the side was perfectly cooked as well. I would recommend this. Our last entree was the $34 Short Ribs With Polenta, consisting of tender, slow-braised short ribs over a creamy bed of polenta. The texture of the polenta was nice, and the short ribs were indeed tender, but not too fatty. This was the plainest of the entrees, but it was still tasty. This was a tasty Italian spot with quality food at reasonable prices. I would definitely go back.

There were only two other tables with guests in the restaurant. The service was super quick. I got the pulled pork tortellini; the tangy, butter sauce was really good, but the tortellini portion was small. I preferred the rigatoni that my husband got. The bread that they bring to the table was fresh and delicious. I would come here again.

Was also thoughtful in handing us our orders correctly which was nice. For the food itself I heard good things and was hoping to love it more-- but I think I was slightly disappointed. The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give this place another try on another day..

I haven't tried them all, obviously -- too many coffee shops -- but what I have tried, and come back to, over and over, is the products of the amazing team at Posto. It's not just about the skillfully made drinks or the balance of flavors, the fresh, Italian-style coffee or the filled-to-order Italian donuts and Maritozzos (iykyk) -- it's the overall ambience. You come here to put down the screen and enjoy the moment. So often do we rush through our coffees, or even bring them to meetings, at the beck and call of the city's hustle. But at Posto the kind, talented, customer-first team asks you to slow down and escape all of that, to savor every sip of coffee in the classic Italian style. Walking in feels more like a poem than a cafe. Gone are the transactional, disingenuous "how are you's" and instead you get to discover all sorts of fun barista (and bar) creations, Tuscan products, and fresh pasta. The servers and owner are always read to provide a recommendation, and like in Italian cafes, they bring whatever treats and drinks you land on to you. (My favorite aperol spritz is also from Posto.) Outside, the peaceful garden hosts two large umbrellas. It's vibrant, as if you're in a neighbor's backyard and they are willing to share a colorful moment with you, birds chirping overhead. As I finished the last drop of my cappuccino this morning, I realized that forty-five minutes had passed, and every sip of coffee was just as good as the last. Thank you!

I don't feel like Un Posto hits the nail on the head for any of these. The menu is incredibly confusing--one part is on a chalk board, another is written under the countertop, another two are printed out next to the register and they all say different things without explanations of what any of the drinks even are. I spent at least 10 minutes letting other folks in front of me at the counter because I was paralyzed by choices I didn't understand, luckily the baristas were able to provide clarity on some of them. They have cocktails, coffee cocktails, coffee drinks, and several food menus. We came hungry, only to see the sandwich menu taken away because they were out (this was at 3 pm, and they close at 7). This is such a New York thing, but if you're selling cocktails and groceries until the evening, running out of mortadella sandwiches is not the same as when Radio Bakery sells out by noon... Maybe it's me but I'm not particularly looking to get a plate of prosciutt and burrata with my coffee (which is what they had left), and the sandwiches here are supposed to be amazing and were the main reason why we chose this place. We had come here to co-work, but saw that there were no laptops allowed, not even in a specific window, just period. I take issue with this because for some of us, coffee shops are vital spaces not to get sucked into the void of our screens but to write, share ideas, and work in the company of our support system. The coffee I got was an Italian iced coffee with no milk and almond syrup, pretty good but a smallish portion. My friend's latte was white, and tasted like foamy milk with just a hint of espresso... very odd. Usually that cool pretentious European vibe results in delicious food and drink, so I expected to be blown away, but it was just okay. Some of the higher-up staff are quite snippy, doesn't seem like the kind of place where if you're a regular people know your name and want to chat. The accusatory sign in the bathroom really says it all. The best part of this place is the gorgeous back patio, but it's harder to enjoy it when you've walked into a place that already makes you feel like you don't belong there, implying you're a toilet-clogging laptop addict who doesn't know any coffee lingo. I could see stopping in to pick up some fresh pasta and grabbing a cappuccino to go, but what's the fun in that?
