If you're looking for your next Italian restaurant obsession, this spot is the spot for you. I've been to their 2 locations: Kips Bay and here in Soho, which was my absolute favorite. The atmosphere is very cozy and dim lit. If you're looking for a cute girls night dinner, this is perfect. My best friend and I came for a Valentine's day date and indulged in their delicious plates. For apps we got the Calamari and Vodka Pizza, for our mains we got the Baked Ziti and Spaghetti Carbonara which were mouth watering. White wine was really good and we absolutely loved our server who made our night extra special! They have so many happy hour specials and so many dishes to choose from so there's something for everyone!

Stopped in for lunch & was seated quickly. No wait for a table. The restaurant filled up pretty fast for lunch. Service is very fast too. Dishes come out lighting fast. Bread is bought out, and there is olive oil on the table. I got the $12 rigatoni bolognese. Very generous, filling portion. Recommend if your in the West Broadway area and need something inexpensive and quick for lunch. They also have other locations throughout the city.

Everything was delicious-Service was impeccable. It's a small location so make a reservation. They have gluten free and vegan options that tasted just like the traditionally prepared versions. We had wonderful experience.

Came here for lunch based on a local recommendation. Great location in Soho and terrific price and size of lunch specials. While not crowded when we went (maybe 6 active tables), I was surprised that a table had their (non-service) dog in the restaurant. They were well-behaved, but maybe this normal in Soho? Surprised that our main waiter was pretty apathetic and showed no excitement or engagement throughout the meal--very little to no conversation and bare minimum of check-in. In comparison, the service staff filling the water, serving the dishes and cleaning up were hustling and friendly. We were surprised at the generous sizing of the lunch pastas for $12 (plenty for leftovers). We also ordered the foccacia bread which was warm and tasty. So from a food and location 4* but service brought down the overall review.

My good friend Jane and I had been walking toward another restaurant. She spotted a sign outside Fumo for their $12 pasta or salad lunch special. Omgosh, we couldn't pass up on a great deal. I asked our server, Elio, for recommendations. I had him choose between Rigatoni Classico and Baked Ziti. He recommended Penne Vodka. I ordered it with grilled chicken. Food Jane: Spaghetti Carbonara Me: Penne Vodka + Grilled Chicken One of the servers asked if we wanted cheese, and we said yes. The Penne Vodka was creamy, flavorful, and really good. Metaphorically, I would have totally licked the plate! The bill listed separate totals for card and cash. We paid cash. Bookmark this spot to try!

We were heading to Lunch when we stumble upon FUMO. We noticed the menus. I was eyeing the brunch menu- Only on Saturday and Sunday. Anna H. was looking at the pasta and salad for $12. Only one Yelp review with a 5 Star, so we decided to go here for lunch. Staff friendly and accommodating. They check up on us to refill water and asked how our meal was. It's a pretty casual restaurant with great ambiance and vibe. I would come back again just to have another plate of Spaghetti Carbonara- topped with bacon and onion. The sauce was so creamy. Good thing I saved a slice of bread just to dip into the creamy sauce. Anna had the Penne and added Chicken. It's ala cart when it comes to toppings- you can add meatball, chicken, beef etc... for a separate charge. Don't forget to slather on the cheese before you take your first bite. The dish is piping hot. Will be back again to try other items on Fumo Soho menu. It's very extensive.

Yum! Strong drinks and light bites for happy hour. You really can't beat this happy hour deal from 4-7pm during the week. I also heard they have $12 pasta for lunch so will go back! Our waitress was very nice and checked in often. Moody lighting so good for a date or just a vibey dinner with friends.

Went here for a brunch to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant wasn't packed when we arrived which was a plus. The ambiance was great for a warm day. The staff were amazing very accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly. I had a salad because I didn't want anything heavy it was tasty nothing too crazy did really enjoy the candied walnuts. The table had an order of spicy calamari 10/10. No one at my table seemed to like the eggs. The lox and pesto were delicious according to a couple of people in my party. I would definitely return the bar was fun for some quick shots before we went exploring the city.

Just back from a great dinner at Fumo Soho. Everything was spot on perfect: service, ambience, food, drinks--fantastic. Star of the show were the stuffed baked clams. Suburb dish: great clams, intense flavor, but not too garlicky; nostalgic and delish. 13 y/o gobbled them down. Pizza was on point per usual. And bartender made a 5-star' paper plane. Thanks to the Saturday staff for a great night out!

We came here on a Friday night and got seated pretty quickly. The atmosphere was really nice and chill. We ordered pasta and truffles fries. My shrimp spaghetti was pretty good. It had a nice spicy kick in the sauce. The truffle fries were a little too overpowering with the truffle. Overall, I wouldn't come back for the pasta. I would love to go for their $12 pasta deal.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
