This place is cash only, which is odd for entering into 2026 for something that wants to be a restaurant. To be honest, the portions were very small for the price. We didn't feel it was a great value. We literally walked to Chinatown to get something else after we left. And while the restaurant is small and cozy, it's also more of a diner vibe with paper napkins. In terms of service we had to pour our own water and it was cash only. We are not planning to go back. It didn't feel like a restaurant. Also, we don't know it was cash. And we're told, "cash only. it's on the menu. ATM is downstairs (or wherever)." We had cash. We just didn't know. The gnocchi was not cooked at all and was super doughy that it was sticking to the roof of my mouth and teeth, also super salty. The linguini was okay but the clams was not cleaned properly and tasted like it had gone bad. Had a weird sour taste and smell. Food was mid. One of the servers was incredibly dismissive and rude to our party and I do think it was due to my friends service dog. They did allow the dog in but almost seemed annoyed. She ended up leaving separately because she felt incredibly uncomfortable by that employee. My friend said we should stay and eat since we had the reservation and she went home because she felt overly stressed by this entire interaction. They did give us a new waitress and they did offer a dessert on the house due to the whole situation. Service was better with this other person. I usually order 2 things here-the spinach goat cheese omelette is one of my favs and the vegetable panini. I think this little cafe was super cozy and cute! It definitely felt like I was back in Italy. I came here for brunch and ordered the whole wheat toast with poached eggs, salmon, and cream cheese. The portion was decent. There wasn't too much seasoning on it which was fine but it wasn't spectacular either. My friend ordered the avocado toast and it looked quite small. We also split the French toast which looked very cute. It wasn't bad. Also if you check in you can get a free dessert with your meal so I ordered a tiramisu. It was super light and yummy. I got the ricotta ravioli with balsamic sage. It was very vinegary and not the flavor I was expecting. I don't think the ricotta complemented with those flavors well. The waiter asked if we wanted cheese and totally forgot, but it's okay! You get what you pay for- the portion was pretty small. I could finish my meal within 20 minutes. This review includes an emotional aspect as well as my opinion on the restaurant. I recently lost my mom and decided to travel to NYC for the holidays. We stopped into Fiat for our Christmas Dinner. Cute little place that doesn't hold a ton of people which is perfect for a more intimate setting. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant despite the craziness of the holiday. We did an appetizer, 4 entrees, and finished with wine and dessert. Everything was really good, pretty standard dishes. The chocolate mousse was the perfect dessert to finish the meal. Back to the reason I mentioned the loss of my mom and why this restaurant gets 5 stars. Towards the end of the night, I look up at the bar and I see a bottle with Betty Boop hand painted on it. This was my mom's favorite character and she owned so many figurines of Betty Boop. We both had pasta and agreed they were both wonderful. I visited with a friend who lives in the area. The owner knew my friend well, even what she ordered. If you call ahead of time, they are happy to accomodate larger parties. Each time, I was there with a party of 10+ people. The first time I went, I ordered the eggplant parm. It was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. The second time I went, I ordered the ravioli in sage brown butter sauce, The portion size was good, and the sauce was delicious. As an appetizer each time, I ordered the tomato eggplant bruschetta, and it was really good as well. I really enjoyed the desserts. Went here for brunch or some kind of sustenance today. Got seated outside and received water only. Multiple tables over the people looked like they had been sitting for a while and were just putting in their order. The waiters kept coming out and poking their head in and out of the outside area and not once did they come to us to ask what we were wanting to drink.
