The pizza fritta was light and delicious, the calamari was crispy, the pappardelle hit like always, and the NY steak was cooked just right. The gnocchi was actually flavored much like a carbonara. That was super good and I completely recommend ordering if you like gnocchi and carbonara! Check this place out, you won't be disappointed! This place is cash only, which is odd for entering into 2026 for something that wants to be a restaurant. To be honest, the portions were very small for the price. We didn't feel it was a great value. We literally walked to Chinatown to get something else after we left. And while the restaurant is small and cozy, it's also more of a diner vibe with paper napkins. In terms of service we had to pour our own water and it was cash only. We are not planning to go back. It didn't feel like a restaurant. Also, we don't know it was cash. And we're told, "cash only. it's on the menu. ATM is downstairs (or wherever)." We had cash. We just didn't know. We got the calamari to start and the breading on it was super salty and the calamari itself was super chewy and not good at all. The gnocchi was not cooked at all and was super doughy that it was sticking to the roof of my mouth and teeth, also super salty. The linguini was okay but the clams was not cleaned properly and tasted like it had gone bad. Had a weird sour taste and smell. Overall I think they can work on the food a lot but the service wand ambience was great. But the food for the price was super disappointing. Especially it being right next to little Italy. read more

Food was mid. One of the servers was incredibly dismissive and rude to our party and I do think it was due to my friends service dog. They did allow the dog in but almost seemed annoyed. She ended up leaving separately because she felt incredibly uncomfortable by that employee. My friend said we should stay and eat since we had the reservation and she went home because she felt overly stressed by this entire interaction. They did give us a new waitress and they did offer a dessert on the house due to the whole situation. Service was better with this other person. One of my favorite cafes in Nolita that has really good simple food and good service. Restaurant is small but super cute. I usually order 2 things here-the spinach goat cheese omelette is one of my favs and the vegetable panini. Both are so good and are a staple for me since I've always gotten the same 2 things off their menu. The ciabatta bread served with the panini is perfection. Reminds me of the bread I got in Italy (humble brag I travel). It's like eating a crispy cloud. Soft and airy. You eat a massive piece of bread and aren't bloated. I got the chicken parm. And it brought a tear to my eye and gave a slight blood influx to me no no region. It was exactly what it should be. The perfect parm. Not too much and over done slop, not wanting more cheese and sauce. Fried cutlet was pounded thin and had that amazing I was fried flavor. Wife got blt. The food is pretty cheap for the city and tasty. The service sometimes is a little poor as you may run out of water and it might take a bit longer to order/pay. I think this little cafe was super cozy and cute! It definitely felt like I was back in Italy. I came here for brunch and ordered the whole wheat toast with poached eggs, salmon, and cream cheese. The portion was decent. There wasn't too much seasoning on it which was fine but it wasn't spectacular either. My friend ordered the avocado toast and it looked quite small. We also split the French toast which looked very cute. It wasn't bad. Also if you check in you can get a free dessert with your meal so I ordered a tiramisu. It was super light and yummy. This review includes an emotional aspect as well as my opinion on the restaurant. I recently lost my mom and decided to travel to NYC for the holidays. We stopped into Fiat for our Christmas Dinner. Cute little place that doesn't hold a ton of people which is perfect for a more intimate setting. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant despite the craziness of the holiday. We did an appetizer, 4 entrees, and finished with wine and dessert. Everything was really good, pretty standard dishes. The chocolate mousse was the perfect dessert to finish the meal. Back to the reason I mentioned the loss of my mom and why this restaurant gets 5 stars. Towards the end of the night, I look up at the bar and I see a bottle with Betty Boop hand painted on it. This was my mom's favorite character and she owned so many figurines of Betty Boop. A little "hidden" gem. The restaurant itself is rather small, so the tables are pushed pretty close to each other. It was pretty busy on a Saturday noon so service was a bit slow but the food was so worth it. We ordered duck confit pasta and eggs Benedict. I also got a glass of mimosa. Duck confit -- the sauce was soooo rich and tasty. I believe they cooked it with truffle oil. There were generous portions of duck and mushrooms. 10/10 Eggs Benedict -- rather basic but a brunch staple. Muffin was nicely toasted. Eggs cooked to perfection. Generous amount of hollandaise sauce, which I appreciate. The muffin did become a bit hard to cut if you let it sit for more than 5 mins... I had to wrestle with my food. 9.5/10 Mimosa -- I was expecting a flute so I was pleasantly surprised by the glass. If you call ahead of time, they are happy to accomodate larger parties. Each time, I was there with a party of 10+ people. The first time I went, I ordered the eggplant parm. It was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. The second time I went, I ordered the ravioli in sage brown butter sauce, The portion size was good, and the sauce was delicious. As an appetizer each time, I ordered the tomato eggplant bruschetta, and it was really good as well. I really enjoyed the desserts. My top 3 favorites were the chocolate mousse, the tiramisu and the bread pudding. All of my friends, except one lactose intolerant friend, enjoyed this place. We both had pasta and agreed they were both wonderful. I visited with a friend who lives in the area. The owner knew my friend well, even what she ordered. Went here for brunch or some kind of sustenance today. Got seated outside and received water only. Multiple tables over the people looked like they had been sitting for a while and were just putting in their order. The waiters kept coming out and poking their head in and out of the outside area and not once did they come to us to ask what we were wanting to drink. Then the manager comes out and looks like he's upset with the waiter and a few minutes later comes to us and says gruffly get inside, I have a table inside and at that point this was the only other reaction we had with anyone and were so fed up so we left. read more
